Everything fits together super well in this game, from the theme to the art style to the music. A very well polished little experience!

Took me a while to understand the larger goal of the game - like why would I want to tip the scale to the evil side? - but once I got it, it was really interesting to try and strategise how to use your cards in every given year. The card sacrificing mechanics were fun and varied too.

Very polished little story piece! I loved the writing, and music and artwork all fit together very well

Hey, no worries! :)

Nice and smoothly working game, and you've put a lot of effort into the story department too, props for that! I think you could ramp up the difficulty a little bit more at an earlier stage, so there would be more pressure on the player to pick up those trees before Earth is blown up! :D

As everybody is saying, the idea is a really good take on the theme! I agree that it could be a bit more difficult, or more fast-paced anyway. Maybe you could also have some form of danger, like moving cars for example, that you would have to avoid in the 'real' world?

Really cool environmental design, I love the little details like the little tree-lined plaza and the domed sky, they make you want to explore the whole place. It's a little buggy at the moment - which I'm sure you know without me telling you - but I would really love to see this developed further!

Awesome take on the theme, like a bunch of people have already said! Really hard to stay on top of what's going on in both screens at the same time, but that just adds to the theme. Job well done!

Might be a different game, then. :D I don't remember putting any ghosts or boxes into this one

Thanks! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)

Oh man, I absolutely loved this! Super stylish visuals with great music and sound to boot. Great, simple-to-grasp base mechanic. I loved the sinister vibe and the ending was beautifully done. Just great.

Thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated! Can you elaborate on the 1 life thing? It might be a bug

Thanks! I think it might be fun to tinker with this idea a bit more, so maybe I'll try making it mobile-friendly while I'm at it.

I think you've chosen a really good set of assets that fit together very nicely, the game is really pretty to look at. (Although maybe the skeleton gives me a bit of a different vibe than the others? I don't know, YMMV.) I also like the philosophical theme. Nice work!

Lovely graphics style and a solid base mechanic. You really calibrated the spaces in the last section perfectly for a proper challenge!

Great concept! I especially liked the little moment of tension in changing from 2d to 3d and back to 2d when skipping between walls at the corners, gave me those good Portal vibes. Real potential in the mechanic.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really glad you found the game to be chill, that was precisely the feeling I was going for. :)

You're probably right about the fact that the music could kick in a little bit sooner. I was worried about it repeating itself too many times if played sooner, but having more of a musical hook at an earlier stage might be useful.

Thanks for all the generous comments! I'm especially happy you enjoyed the music, since I was also really glad to have found that track, as I too thought it was a great fit for the game. I wanted to save it up a little to avoid it getting repetitive, but your suggestion of a more gentle track playing at an earlier stage of the game is spot-on.

Appreciate the tip about browser playability, will definitely do that next time!

Fun looking game with great music, and I love the idea of defeating enemies by capturing them in a photo with your camera, really fits with the theme of the jam I think.

I got to the part with the dice floating in space, but I couldn't progress past the fourth or so die. It rotated a bit off-centre, like the top was no longer level, maybe that was what caused it? I also struggled with the 2D asteroids-like segment, though I got the hang of it in the end. I think it would have been useful to have a visual indicator of which way gravity was pointing, that would have made it easier and quicker to understand.

Besides that, I'm a little sorry I didn't figure out how to scroll down in the textboxes, as you'd obviously put effort into the story and I would have loved to be able to read all of it!

Geez, I hadn't realised that. Big thanks for the heads-up! Hopefully the thing will be working now. :)
