Glad you like the game!  The Ball of Fire can be found in the Elemental Dungeon, just West of Port Island.  (Go just a bit north of where you first got the ship).  I hope this helps!

That is odd - have you tried getting off the ship at other spots on Port Island?  Make sure you are trying to land on the grass and not on the dock or city.  Are you tapping the land square directly next to the ship?  Are you able to get off the boat anywhere else?

Thanks Sum626 for the feedback!  Which platform are you on?(mac,PC, Android, Android TV or iOS?). I'll take a look at the back button as it should just back you up a menu and not switch between tabs.  I'll also review all.of my map transitions - I think I know what you are talking about - when if you step left or right when you enter a map (instead of straight ahead) you go back to the previous map.  I believe this only happens on some maps and I will work on getting that fixed.

Thanks Aekashics!  I did run into one crediting issue.  Google Play rejected my app for Android TV due to links out to external sites.  I am going to include a link out to your site in the text file that contains the credits shipped with my APK, but I'll have to remove all links from all of my credits that are displayed in the game (I will still credit Aekashics in the in game credits)  Please let me know if you have any concerns with this approach.

Horay!  Thanks for letting me know!  It is interesting that Amazon updates take a little time to reach end users.  I'll remember that for the future.  I hope all is smooth sailing for you from here on out :). 

Crisis of the Middle Ages is my very first game, but I do plan on developing more games after this one comes out.  However, fear not, I just got the word from Amazon that the 1.0.2 update was just now released! Can you do an update and see if you become unstuck?

Yikes!  The fairy was never supposed to transfer the player.  I just put the transfer in there to recreate Valmon's problem and forgot to take it out.  Doh!  Shame on me!  Anyway, I just submitted a fix to Amazon that takes that transfer out and adds a square of land where you are stuck (this should get you unstuck).  Amazon normally takes a day or so to release my updates and I will let you know when to update.  It will be version 1.0.2.

Apple just released the version  (1.0.1) of my game with the new touch screen controls for the map.  Remember to enable the controls in the options menu.  Let me know what you think of the controls :)

Okay, let me put together a workaround for you to get you unstuck.  It may take a few days to get the workaround approved by Amazon.  I will let you know as soon as the workaround is available.

Hi Spaceboy, do you know which version you have installed?  I think what happened to you is that you had an older version that still had the transfer bug.  Do have a different save that you could start from (after updating the game)?  Did you get the game from the Amazon store or via itch.io?  I have an idea on how to get you unstuck.

Hello again Podman, I just added a new control option that will add a touch screen controller to the navigation screens.  it is off by default, but if you go to options->controls, you can turn it on.  it will be in version 1.0.1 which I just submitted to the apple App Store.  it should be available in the next 1-2 days once apple approves my update.

Hey Podman, I'm glad you are enjoying the game!  I do have a touch screen controls option under options, but it only adds touchscreen call controls for the menus.  I've been asked about adding the controls for the map screen by multiple people so let me see if I can get it added this weekend.  I will let you know when a new update is out.

Oh my goodness, thank you!  It is a long story.  Yes, this is my very first game.  I started programming when I was 8 (a very long time ago :)).  When I graduated from college with a cs degree, I applied to a ton of game companies, but was rejected or never heard back from any of them.  I ended up working as a developer for ibm and a few other companies.  Once I became a manger, I missed coding.  Once I had kids, it became difficult to do my stand up comedy and improv (something I used to do for fun).  Writing this game was very therapeutic for me.  I could code again and it was an awesome creative outlet.  I have a ton of ideas for follow on games once this one launches (once I get all of the bugs out :-)).  The only challenge I have is time (I can only work on games sporadically on the weekend and during the week when the kids are in bed).  Thanks for your kind words.  it is support like yours that keeps me going.  ...and I'm so glad that we got you unstuck :-)    

Hey Thanks!  writing this game has been quite a journey for me and I have enjoyed every minute of it.  

We are in luck.  apple just released my update (faster than expected!).  Go ahead and update to version 0.3.3 and when you load your saved game, walk directly upwards.  Let me know if that works in getting you unstuck so I can remove the event I put in to pull you onto land :-)

Okay, I found a way to get you unstuck.  I submitted the fix to the iOS App Store.  once it gets approved (may be a few days) you should be able to update to it.  once you load the new version, try to move straight up.  I put an event in that will transfer you out of the boat and onto land.  

Ok, I've got some ideas on how to get you out of there and get your boat in the right place too.  I'll keep you posted.

Thanks and I'm glad you like the game!  I should have a fix pushed out to the iOS app store tonight, but it then takes 2-3 days or more for Apple to approve and make it available.  I will let you know when that happens.  Do you have a previous save that you can run from where you are not stuck?  If not, I will need to find a creative way to get you un-stuck as the fix only changes the transfer out of the 1st floor of the Fairy Tower  :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the game!  For the equipment screens, do you have the touchscreen controls turned on?  (You can turn them on from the Options menus).  Once you turn these controls on, you can use the buttons circled below to more easily navigate the equipment menus:


You have good feedback on switching between characters on the equipment screen.  I'll work on adding that feature.  Also, if you see the dungeon error again, if you let me know the details, I will hunt it down.

As for Balthor...  I intentionally left his preferences vague.  He does have his "faithful companion", Darius, but Echo intrigues him as well...  I did not want to make your standard male hero wins the good looking girl storyline :)

Yay!  That's awesome!  What did you think of the ending?  The two typos will be fixed in 0.3.1 (whenever that comes out :-)).

My theory is that you had an augment equipped that made your physical attack an elemental attack.  Then I changed the augments in the game to no longer do that - but because if the way augments work "under the hood", they change the players stats and then remove them when the augment is removed (So the new augments would not remove the effect even when removed from the weapons/armor).  That would mean that as long as your game was started on a more recent version (after the augment changes), this should no longer occur.  I will keep an eye out for it though - as my theories can sometimes be incorrect :-)

Hello Batshua - I fixed everything except Darius issue.  Fixes are in the 0.3.0 release.  The 0.3.0 release should also get you unstuck in AC4GD HQ.  Can you tell me more about the Darius issue?  Is he casting a spell or doing a physical attack when he heals enemy?  Lastly, I added you to the credits :). Let me know if you would like any modifications there.  As always, great bug finds.  I appreciate it!

Hello Batshua, I was hoping you would return :). This will give me something to do on my plane ride back from NY.  I'll let you know as soon as they have been addressed.  Since you have found so much, would you like to be listed in the credits as a "Glitch Finder"?

The fix is now in the Google Play Store.   Are you unstuck now?

If you downloaded from itch.io, I just put out a fix for this (version 0.2.9.1).  If your downloaded from the play store, it will take a little longer for Google to approve this version and publish it.

Ok,  I just posted an update for Windows and Mac that should fix this problem.  @havingfun - I created a mountain pass you to get back to your airship.  Let me know if you are able to get un-stuck.

Got it!  I moved the spell chest to an accessible area and the one in the town was my "debug" chest that contained every item in the game (yikes!).  I quietly deleted that one :-).  These fixes will be in version 0.2.8 when it comes out.  Thanks again for all the feedback!

Your allies will still heal on elemental magic attack (for example, casting Fire at a fire based creature).  This is to force the player to use some sort of strategy with the enemies.  If you cast Water at a Fire basted creature, you do extra damage for example.  Also, I did not want the player to just cast "Lightning All" blindly a every set of enemy - I wanted the player to think a little about the more efficient way to take out the enemies given their resistances.  That said, you should no longer be healing via physical attacks - like "Super Slash".  If that is still happening, it is possible that the plugin update did not change the existing weapon fragment augment in your saved game.  To work around, simply remove the  "Fire Fragment" or whichever fragment you currently have installed in Echo's sword and that should fix the problem.
