Hey everyone! Nuno here.

I went in silence mode because new projects have kicked in at the studio. But little ping notifications started to pop in my email and I wanted to thank and say hello to the new followers.

In this cyberlog, I present to you... Filia, the daughter.

Her father disappeared into the dungeon’s depths, and now she braves it to bring him back.

STATUS

  • 3 actions per turn
  • 800 life points with 20% increase at moonlight (night time)
  • 0.15% damage power
  • 8 slots in the Destiny Wheel
  • Strong against earth monsters
  • Weak against water monsters

DEVELOPMENT

I wanted to have a child in the game looking for her father in the dungeon. The first image that came to my mind was  the girl for Angel Egg, the animated movie from Yoshitaka Amano (my favorite artist) and Mamoru Oshii. Easy to see the resembles, right?

Funny enough, with this image as reference, Filia was one of the images that we had a bigger challenge with the usage of AI. It seems that "sick" and "child" it's something that that the LLM was not comfortable with.  Normally we create a prompt in how we envision a character and add 2 images as the basis to then, work over it.

Sharing one of the outcome, that we liked a lot but did not reflect the character. Maybe a new one in the future? We still have +200 to create.

Also about Filia background story,  a little spoiler: She is not the only playable member in the family in Cyberload. Can you guess who is?

Stay carbon my friends!

Hello, Nuno here.

After the last build update I haven't written a new devlog. Just did it and sharing it here. Please give it a read:

If you don't know Cyberload, it's a medieval scifi dungeon crawler with real-time mechanics. What's the meaning of this? Well... everyday you have a new seeker, every 24h a new dungeon is created and if your playing on daytime or night, stats (like stamina, health) are affected. :)

Meet the seekers that enter the Dungeon to fulfil their whishes:

Hello! We just made an update. It should be more challenging, but fair. Let us know if you manage to reach the end. Today it's the day of Fenrir, the lovelorn.

Ah! Defending the monsters attack will help. I can imagine how hard should felt the first runs. You made Lumia and Zoe quite a sponge :)

Cool that you managed to get it. Either way, we will try make it more clear. Thanks for the feedback.

Have you reached to the end with any of the Seekers? Tomorrow, Nimrod - The hunter, enters the dungeon.

Hey! Big thanks. Your are right! We need clarify the press and hold to charge attacks mechanic. Did you noticed that you can do 2x damage if you reach 100% per slice?

Either way, in the next update (today, maybe), the "Level 1 threat" mobs will be nicer to the seekers. Hopefully will allow to reach the shrine and grow in power.

Self-generated dungeons every hour. One hero per day. Permadeath.

Cyberload: Coded Carbon City is still a rough prototype, but our passion to see it grow is huge.

THE GAME

Choose the path of a host eager to remove its parasite, a wolf yearning to shed its fur for human skin, or an alien aching to return to distant stars. All is possible in the dungeons of Cyberload city - the last port where humanity uploaded itself into digital realms.

Only its ancient tech has shown the civilization's past existence, now inviting seekers from all over the world with wishes to fulfill.

But few can survive its streets and corridors, where digital souls fused with folklore and pop culture hunt for carbon flesh, in hopes of becoming real again.

FEATURES:

  • 8 seekers with different stats
  • Dozens of monster to fight
  • Multiple magics and spells to extract from monsters
  • 12 Destiny wheels to find

Jump into the one-click/tap dungeon, choose the 8 characters, one per day, and share your thoughts with us. The art style, the destiny wheel mechanics or the roguelike elements, what better calls your attention?
