I know camera need to be static, but can there be either camera or screen shake?  Like on an explosion?

Mostly funky math! Things get smaller as they go away, but the math is warped to try and make it work better in the smaller resolution 

thanks! Yeah wish I had more time but between work family and camping that’s where I ended. I would like to pick it up again without 64x64 restriction, because in higher res it’s even cooler as I have less restriction.

Yeah, there's some fighting between A/D and the mouse look, I'll sort out a patch for that when I can.
Crash damage was something I wanted to get done but didn't have time during the jam, but I'm tempted to revisit it and add some more things too that I didn't have the time for.

There is an updated version for #7dfps and #procjam here (updates locked down while Epic MegaJam judging for few months), which mainly just has an Invert Y option for those who prefer to play the other way...

Yeah, I made this game solo.
My advice would be learn as much as you can, don't be afraid to try things, and have fun doing it!

This version is in lockdown while the judging is happening for the next 1-3 months. :O
But I might spin off a separate version with improvements in the mean time. Thanks for the feedback! Am thinking of continuing work on this as a fun side project.

Any four colors is fine.

Or the lower color CGA EGA modes too.

I'd kill (Nazis) for a Quest version!

Love the Rift version, but the left controls don't seem to work. I can only get it to snapturn left with trigger + Y, I can't snap right. It would be much better to snapturn with the right analog flicks.

I'm doing a 3D voxel based game, and have been keeping in mind the 2 & 10 color constraints.  One question I had is, can we use lighting?  I've so far been sticking with unlit geometry cause I'm unsure if shading a blue poly to a darker blue means it's a different color "code".

Build a hybrid air hockey + table/rod hockey outta Cerberus X (HTML5 target), voxels and Box2D.  Still tweaking colors, AI, etc but this was a ton of fun to build and play, can't wait til the final version is up.  Minimalistic jam was perfect fun over the holidays, and great way to start 2018!
