I liked the circuity theme art style and music, as well as the dialogue between the two characters. Hopefully their date goes well, I did my job and sent all 9 messages :D.

Fun gameplay, intuitive loop, great visuals... this game was an overall great experience. My only complaint is the occasional moment where winning seems impossible (the signal poofs somewhere far away). With no clear visual direction indicator, it felt unfair at times.

I hath becometh the Galaga abductor.

Cool concept. Reminds me of Pico Park. The gun caught me super off guard xD.

I got the "You Escaped?" ending... are there multiple endings or is the game an infinite loop?

The game is a bit confusing at first but after finding the first button I realized it was akin to a "spot the difference" minigame. Cool idea, solid execution, good integration of the "being connected" theme.

Proud to say I managed to win on attempt #5 Visuals fit the vibe of the game, I like the way you used the real-life sprite instead of a normal one, it caught me off guard after seeing the first time.

Great execution of a fun two/single player idea. Fits the theme of "Being Connected" perfectly, nicely done! What program did you use for the, I assume, 3D player models? Also, how are you displaying the models in 2D? Are they a simple pixelated image or are they a projection of the actual model?

High-quality 3D models in such a short time span, amazing! It seems I am less than four-years-old as I could only complete Puzzle 3 ;-;. Did you compose the soundtrack yourself? Also, the spy has some serious sass.

Great, feel-good, art-style. Well-polished, short-and-sweet puzzle experience, well done! What software did you use for the background music? (I loved it.) The concept reminded me of the premise from Anohana, an anime a watched a few years ago.

You can reset the level by pressing the escape key.

Decimals will be rounded down for itch.io star ratings.

CATEGORY RATING / 5COMMENTS
Fun / Gameplay 3 Cant't go wrong with FNAF gameplay loop. Only having one enemy makes the loop a bit repetitive though, great work for such a short time.
Art / Visuals 2.5The art look s either paint or hand drawn, very unique style and dark color palette.
Theme Presence 1.5The sole integration of the theme is the fact that the player connects to the cameras.
Originality/Creativity 2 Standard FNAF style horror gameplay loop.
Polishness 3.5All mechanics work as intended, there are some clunky sound cues overlapping and UI improvements to be made

Comments and suggestions:

  • Once you realize that the enemy always plays a sound cue when at the door, there is no need to check the cameras anymore.  I did notice that when I didn't use the cameras, the enemy seemed more active, may be placebo though.
  • Additional enemies/mechanics would do wonders for the main loop, as well as customizing the UI elements a bit.  Godot offers a very simple way of doing so using StyleBoxes.
  • Adding key bindings for the door close and camera open/switching would be nice.
  • Loved the inclusion of the classic FNAF fan in the office.
  • I would like to know how you implemented the enemy AI. Did you use the same movement opportunity system that FNAF uses?

Can't open the page ;-;

Make sure the visibility of the project is set to "Public".

Can you get all three golden stars?

ARROW KEYS -> MOVEMENT

Thank  you, amazing asset.

I will have nightmares of Red cornering me. I managed to free myself up until 100 clicks, I gave up. Great bullet hell demo game, a lot of potential.

Love the mechanics and art style. Truly a great execution of the theme "Roles Reversed". Hope to see more in the future.

Great idea, good assets, good gamplay but it is hindered a bit by the collision system. Overall great demo that had a lot of potential.

Amazing art direction and overwhelming potential in this game. The idea of having you play an extra in a fantastic tale is very innovative. Hope to see more.

A lot of potential if more mechanics are implemented and more levels are made.

Really like the gameplay loop, it has good difficulty progression with the different hitboxes. Art direction consistent and soundtrack/sound effects are really fitting.

Amazing art direction, good gameplay mechanics, hope to see more.

Like the mechanics, odd that the bullets dont collide with walls. Good art direction and judging from the phone call line, a lot of lore to be discovered should the game be further developped.

Fantastic art and good gameplay.
