All good. :) I’ve been a bit busy with work lately to make videos, but I also didn’t know what tutorial to cover next. But its actually a good idea. I can do a pause menu tutorial. Thanks for the idea.

Hello Spaltose. Thank you so much. (especially if you were the one who donated.) Gives me motivation to continue indie dev. :)

I am currently trying to make small UE tutorials on YouTube, but been busy with work lately. But for sure I will try to show how I made this game in the future.

There are a lot of tutorials to get lost in. After you learn the basics though I found the best way to learn is to come up with your own mechanics, solve errors and make it more efficient. Just takes a lot of time, trial and error.

Good luck with your game dev journey!

Adding some new features. I’ve never made a computer screen inside of unreal. Was quite happy how it turned out. Also I’ve never made an objective system with multiple sub-objectives. So that was fun trying to figure out.

I made a keycard system to unlock doors. I didn’t really want to add an inventory system to keep it simple But since I plan to have multiple keycards throughout the game I needed a way to show which keys the player has. Hence creating an inventory system.

I’ve tested and adjusted a new sequence for the past two days. Not sure if its scary at all, probably cause I’ve run through it so many times. But I am finding it hard to create horror tension without using jump scares. So I threw in a basic enemy for fun during the end of the new sequence.

Also if anyone wants to listen to me ramble longer. This was my early attempts at making a “game”.

Which lead me to this point in life. Where I am trying to post stuff here and YouTube to force myself to work and actually publish a game.

Hello.

I just uploaded my first project here on Itch.io with the plans of making a simple horror game. Its no where near finished, but what I have so far is just a simple sequence to test out the basic game mechanics I’ve implemented.

Give it a download if you are free for 5 mins. Link

I have a rough idea of how the story will play out, but nothing set in stone. Next update will be adding some more complicated game mechanics such as surveillance camera systems, fuse box puzzles, etc.

Feel free to leave any feedback and suggestions.
