Very polished! I think it should say what the icons represent though (users, code quality, money, business sense?). I couldn't figure out what up or down meant on some of them.

Awesome idea! The mood with the visuals and audio is fantastic. Fix the controls and tutorials and this could be really, really good

Really interesting aging player idea! Hey nice I also put something like NPCs seeing the player and getting in the way, and the ! and ?

To improve it quickly I think movement needs to be faster, or things shouldn't be so spread out. Also I wasn't able to go through the skinny hallway as a baby at the start of the second level

Thanks! That's probably my biggest feedback is to make a tutorial. I'll write something on the game page for the time being. Glad you liked it!

<3 Thanks bro

Hide in the box for your first transformation. Wait until the demon phase is over, and then get out and go through the door at the end.

You can't open the door as the vampire. That whole "Vampires need permission to go through doors" thing

You can interact with boxes and doors with E

It's a platformer where you have to get to the finish in time. If you touch anything your time gets reduced.

Oh the pain! Haha very creative

It's a cool idea to feed the clock to stay alive and I like the RPG battle mechanics. I feel like there could be a lot of customization and depth to that. Game crashed when coming back to battle for some reason.

I can't find the scarf? I grabbed several flowers and got the necklace. Does finding the girl in the closet unlock anything?

Thanks I'll give it another go!

Super slick and polished. Brilliantly simple and a great way to hook a large audience

this is like one of those classic flash games from the 2000s that does one thing and does it well

Great style with the instructions as graffiti, the sprites, the characters, three different move sets, the upgrade hall, the bosses! My only thing is it's too slow and too much to make you do 100 floors (multiple times because you have to start from the top!). Especially since the upper floors are pretty easy. That said, I'm really impressed though at all you did. I feel like I'm missing a lot. Maybe if you could hit checkpoint floors, like if you reach 90 you can start at 90 the next run. The first boss was really well done. Going from super simple enemies to that got my heart going

(1 edit)

Best Tomb Raider game I've played this competition!

But yeah, is there anything to do besides pick up a handful of mushrooms?

I'll check out your friend's game

Love the style. I feel like not being able to point the gun anywhere but where you're moving makes it pretty tough though

Blast 'em! It has cool style. The enemies tend to bunch up. You could spawn them in more locations and/or make them move at different speeds so they'd tend to move away from each other. Fun!

I liked reading the stories and trying to make my crew alive and in spirits. There was times I wasn't sure if I need to do something specific with my crew. It felt like a lot of things were sort of easy/on autopilot. That's OK though. Seems like the project scope was bigger than the game jam time allowed, but it's the start of something cool here!

Where is the accessibility option for color blind people? XD

Yes I'm colorblind. No I wasn't able to make it past 4 rounds! If you like colors I can see this being your thing!

My little goblin arms reached for the stars!

This is a good spaceship builder game. Seems pretty balanced. Took me a while to get to the end. The voices were great to have in the background

Pretty fun! I enjoyed hunting for the clocks on a time limit. The powerups are balanced with drawbacks that make decisions interesting. Some of them are pretty funny too.

I feel like this is more of a drinking simulator than a blackjack game. The waitress is incessant! I actually can't get her to stop offering me drinks. Am I missing a refusal button? The effect on the cards when you've had a drink is really, really cool though.

The tutorial screen goes by too fast! I didn't read it right the first time. Collect the numbers in reverse order: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0! Fun little space hopper.

Very creative and it ends up being a puzzle of your own making! The physics feel really right for this too

Finally a rewind game! Interesting that rewind kind of makes the game go forever

Thanks! Yeah there's no instructions. I prefer a game to not need instructions but honestly some things could really use it. Hope you got through it well enough anyway!

This game is awesome! Definitely one of my faves of the jam. The music and visuals were great. It felt emotional without being slow. I actually like it better without the sprint button. I had to restart from the last level because the reviving broke but it was worth it. Dodging at the last second for a pile of golden orbs felt really satisfying too.

It's a lot like my game too with the beast transforming on a timer!

Yes! That's exactly how it should feel

Interesting mechanic with all the movements on a cooldown! It almost makes every action, even the most trivial like movement, feel strategic

Very cool concept! Made us think deeply about life! I got 39 years and Jules got 53 years!! Guess she will die alone lol!! Also, very cool and unique graphics! That background style reminds me of balatro but also like the devil. Good choice!

Thank you so much - I really appreciate you taking the time to review my game!! Playing/reviewing yours right now!!

There is something pretty cool with the gameplay here! It's satisfying to roll and jump though the level quickly. I didn't really understand what I was doing but I had fun and beat it quickly. Very creative

Nicely done! It has progression like a metroidvania and permanent upgrades like a roguelike even though it's like an arcade game. The music is pretty cool too. Having the messages appear on the map was a good way to communicate how to play the game

Nice job on your game! Having a few stages before the impact was interesting, I haven't seen that before. I had to let the meteor in just to see what happens

It's cute and has spunk. I like the dark vibe with the crow, the music, the robes, and the voice. The silly things on top of that- wheels wobbling, customers throwing their own boxes. I wasn't sure what was worth exploring and what wasn't. Or what I could interact with. Little indicators to explain what can be interacted with, or hints about what to do (get in the front of the cart) might be a nice touch

Absolutely polished beautiful style. Sounds and sprites on the money.

I saw someone else do a similar style puzzle game. Hm I guess it's a little different- When the world ended (4822242).

I really like how you have hints and solutions in case we get stuck on one.

It's missing a count down though

Overall, one of the best games I've seen design-wise!

Surprised this doesn't have comments yet. This is a good game!
Cute characters. The first upgrade screen reminded me of Balatro for some reason. Top marks in the art and audio. I also liked how the color schemes changes each layer.

Only complaints are the balancing could be a little better and the easiness. It moves a little slow with all the pauses between rounds and the rounds are very short. The items you can buy- some seem a lot better than others.

Then again it's so brutal when you die in one shot.

The countdown timer for each level seems irrelevant. I never ran out of time.

More enemy variety, faster room travel, etc. This is a very solid foundation of a well designed rougelike twin stick shooter.

I think this is a good initial concept and Flippy seems like a cool guy. With a little more sand and explanation on the sand loss and maybe a mini-map I think I could further. But it's like maze on a short timer

Definitely enjoyed it. There's something really good here

Thanks for playing! Same! Greedy books kicked my butt for a while.
So you're having issues on the level with 999 kills. Village right? You should be able to run through that one because the door is open at the end. You don't have to kill anyone... Only a monster would ;)

I didn't do the greatest at explaining all the systems. The 1 (or 999 kills on one level) is the number of kills you have to make as the monster each transformation or else you get hurt. Anything over that is excess and corrupts you. The more corrupted you are, the slower you move.

Another things is that when enemies are investigating you, they slow you down. Walk (try to act normal) and they'll stop investigating.

Good luck finishing the game! There's one level left, and then the ending. Let me know if you still have issues in Village
