Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

I would recommend make the web version , as you mentioned in another comment, then if you want you can add more features/try to balance the game/etc. or you could try to join another game jam and make another game (or just make another game outside of a game jam) its up to you

personally if i was you, I would add a few more features, anything I want to add, then make the web version. most people end up leaving previous games and focus on new ones, so if you want to do this as well its nice if you quickly finish it off and make it the way you want. ofc its just a suggestion tho. have fun :)

Thanks for the feedback!

this is incredible, I have no idea how this game has only been rated by 4 people so far but this deserves so much more attention.

I found a few bugs, 1: if you get a lot of speed you will fall through the blocks (you will still die when you hit the bottom so i dont think theres any real purpose to this) , 2: i have literally no idea how i did this but , i was in the lava section (the first area where you take damage) and i fell from the top without slowing down (dont ask why...) and then i held up at the last second and i took 0 fall damage.. i have tried to recreate it but i havent been successful so im not sure what happened

for the first bug at least its pretty obvious the reason why its happen is because i was going faster than the size of each block per second and so i fell through them and stuff

anyways this game is really fun and honestly extremely similar to the first game i made as well (although i didnt publish that one online) , mine had blocks the same as this except they were bigger and the character was a drill and you had to run into blocks to mine them .. etc (a few more minor differences) , so it was really cool to see this game :)

as for feedback to the game, the only thing i would say is, it did take a long time to go back and forth so i feel like there were some minor balancing issues (ive seen the other comments talking about this as well). other than that, another small issue that I personally didnt mind but, the game was quite repetitive (as in, it was the same thing but with the new ores) , since this was just a game jam it wasnt expected to make a fully made game or anything and you already did more than enough, but thats another small thing to think about. so in future jams , you could focus on QA and testing a bit over a fully working entire game, tho tbh i dont mind. I enjoyed the game :)

I hope this game gets more attention! definitely deserved

yeah, unfortunately the audio was broken in the browser version. you can hear the audio if you download it. its a shame cuz the audio is really good.

thank you for your feedback and im glad you enjoyed the game :)

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback :)

oh nice :)

guess we will never know the mystery of the .9 lol, you were probably being optimistic and saying you will beat it in .9 seconds haha :)

well either way, thanks for speedrunning the game

omg you found a glitch to finish it in 0.9 seconds? ;ooo im not surprised, probably found a way to bypass the time starting (jk thats not possible)

but anyways the timer is very basic and is only in seconds, so if you got 9.9.. thats 9.9 seconds (and is twice as fast as wr ;o)

maybe you got 99, thats a pretty realistic time for a first run (i think mine was like 63, but ofc i coded it all and stuff lol)

Thanks for playing and watching the stream to enjoy the audio as well.

when you say ".9something'" what do you mean exactly? you dont mean you beat the whole game in 0.9 seconds right? 👀 (im kidding)

oh nice, thanks for trying at least :)

That's cool.

it's a shame you didn't get to play it with audio, the audio is honestly one of this games leading qualities I'd say. if you get the time, you should play it again on the downloaded version (maybe try to beat my speedrun of around 20.18 seconds... id honestly be surprised if you can get a sub 21 run lol)

I see, well thank you for the help and the advice as well :)

Thank you and thanks for the feedback, its much appreciated :)

Thanks, glad you liked the game :)

oh wow this worked, thank you so much!

btw do you know how (or if) I could include the files needed for the WASM interpreter in my files?

All my games that work on browser have suddenly stopped working. I have not updated the games at all either.

It shows a grey screen and nothing else.

Im using pygame and pygbag to work on browser and it works locally but not on itch.io

it looks the same as when my file has an error and shows nothing (eg: when I try using .mp3 files instead of .ogg for pygbag)

I have no idea why this is happening since I haven't updated the games at all and they were working earlier, so I assume this might be an issue with itch, but im not sure.

impressive!

43 does not seem possible sadly

ok update 2 runs later, i got 46 then 45.

tbh 45 is gonna be hard to beat so, good luck

47 second (world record probably) , anyone is welcome to try and beat it :)

also it sounds like this run is impossible to beat but this was my 2nd run so.... yeah

great game btw :)

Hey, I'm not entirely sure if I'll be able to make your idea come to life, but I'd love to hear more.

Do you have discord? if so, what's your @?
