It's all foley sounds except the menu music where I used a synthesizer plugin in FL Studio, but the in game sounds are an edited recording of me turning the mode switcher on a H.O.T.A.S that I have for space sims, and the bg noise in the satellite is an edited recording of my fridge running, the sound was a lot of fun to do and I'm looking forward to doing more sound design when I work more on the game oh yes :)
It's a nice little environment to throw beans in.
I'm curious as to if I missed something though.
I'm trapped in a time loop it seems which gets my curiosity pumping (Yeah I know it says not to fall asleep or leave my desk but I just had to leave my desk and then i ate some bed beans and they made me eepy)
Also I beat octokortex's bean record.
Very nice simple rhythm game, I like the visual style and the synchronisation to the songs achieved with the visuals, it adds a lot of good game feel.
I do think that the Signal theme implementation is a bit of a stretch so that is a bit of a weak point for Jam rating, the gameplay itself is fun enough because of the visual responses to the beats, which leads into one of the more unfortunate parts of the submission;
I think you have violated copyright law by using these soundtracks. Do be careful of that, especially if you have a donation button, if you get any commercial gain from unlicensed usage of copyrighted material you can get into some trouble and have to pay the copyright holders.
This was a nice Hotline Miami style game, I enjoyed it very much but here are some things that could be improved:
The camera movement is very jittery
Sometimes the execution button was not working and I either got killed from it or had to back off and re-enter the area that lets you execute on the enemies.
I think it would be more fun if the throw went a bit further.
But yes very nice little game I enjoyed saving my wife.
A cure little platformer, some nice music and sound effects, nice visuals too, I enjoy the scene transitions.
The little sweeties add a nice puzzle element to the game.
I encountered some bugs where I took a sweetie and then dropped onto the spiders and the collision didn't seem to work properly but that was about it in regards to bugs.
I'm not entirely sure how the photos were pixellised, but I took some pics of myself doing various poses and sent them to my wonderful Pixel artist who did that for me, I made the soundtrack in FL Studio and cobbled it all together in Godot (With GDScript) :)
It's been fun seeing people learning the names of British biscuits through the game oh yes.
It's... Beautiful.
I adore the characters and there are good elements of design with the boss fight stages, especially the crab battle having a stage in and out of the water.
The only drawbacks are the resolution scaling and difficult controls but that barely impacted my enjoyment and will to get Clammius back to the ocean.
