Thank you so much! Preventing runtime dependencies was exactly my primary goal when creating this plugin!

Hi superivan94!

Thanks for your interest! To answer your questions:

  1. Yes, the generated scenes contain exactly only standard Godot nodes and resources. They do not require any custom PolyRig scripts or resources at runtime.

  2. Yes, you can reinstall PolyRig later and continue editing the same rig, mesh, and weights without having to recreate anything.

  3. Yes, if you uninstall it, you are left with standard Godot tools, so you can continue the work manually using built-in features without starting over.

  4. Answered together with point 5 below

  5. PolyRig is currently an Early Access project. To be transparent, my academic workload is quite heavy right now, so I cannot guarantee a long-term roadmap or promise major new features. However, I will do my best to fix critical bugs and keep it compatible with future Godot 4.x updates as my schedule allows.

  6. Yes

Thanks again for the kind words!!

Hi Celianna! Sorry this error took up your time. This error is probably because Godot’s global class cache got messed up. You can try: close the Godot editor, delete the .godot folder in the root directory, and then restart. Hope this helps!

Thanks! Yeah, that’s right. Due to Godot’s own limitations, you can’t add new outline vertices directly from the bottom panel.

Hi, Right now it's Godot only. Doesn't support other engines and doesn't have recording features yet. I plan to add sprite sheet export later though.

Fixed! The plugin is now compatible with Godot 4.3 to 4.6. Please give the new version a try. :)

Hi!

Sorry about that! This happens because the plugin uses EditorDock, which is only available in Godot 4.6+.

If you can upgrade to Godot 4.6, it should work right away.

But don't worry, I'm fixing this right now and will upload a compatibility patch very soon!

Thanks for reporting this!
