The asset rule mainly refers to visual assets and sprites. You are welcome to utilise stock music and SFX. The main reason for this rule was to ensure there aren’t identical games in the jam that utilise the same asset packs. In hindsight I should’ve made this point clearer so thank you for the question!
Games must have both versions, you do not need to worry about jumping through the hoops of being “verified”. Just simply export your project as a Mac version. You are also welcome to make downloadable versions for windows, Linux or any other platforms in addition to the Mac and web versions. I hope this clears things up.

A very creative interpretation of the jam theme! it makes "the worlds hardest game" from the cool maths games days look like "hello kitty island adventure" lol. I couldn't get past the second level for the life of me. The gun sounded chunky, the points sound was satisfying and the game looked as good as it needed to. you should be proud of your work!!!
I loved the art style it was really cool. the opening cutscene was on point! I did feel the character was far to slow to move though and for the theme of "overpowered" the enemies took a lot of damage. with a bit of polish and balancing this game could be great! As it stands it's currently one of the better vampier survivors-like of the jam. Great work!!
great work! looking at the leaderboards was a mistake, there are some crazy scores lol. the art was great. the sound design worked. the controls worked when i got into the flow of the game but getting the tutorial every time i died was really annoying (i also died a lot lol). overall great work guys!!
I haven’t rated yet as it’s currently storming where I am and I’m playing on my iPad (so it wouldn’t be fair to rate on the iPad lol), but I do want to say I love the concept of a superhero making a nice night for their other half an it’s a really unique interpretation of the theme. The tweened opening looked sooooo nice and it’s clear you put a lot of work into this game! I will be sure to rate when I get the chance but I wanted to leave this comment to say so far you’ve made a great entry!
Oh BOY! this is a great game! I'm still on MR virus and it's hard, the visuals look amazing, the chip-tune music was great and a match 3 x space shooter game was not something I expected. It's so creative and I love it! The thing I knocked back on a little bit (by that I mean giving 4 stars instead of 5) was the theme. Bullet time didn't make me feel all that powerful especially as it slowed me down too. As it stands it's not a bad mechanic but I don't feel "overpowered" using it in its current form. in a sea of some more... lower quality (AI generated) entries. I really hope your game get's the recognition it deserves!
i played this on stream! i did not finish it as it is late but will be sure to revisit! the gameplay was amazing, the art was amazing, the sound design was amazing! while i didn't beat it i didn't find anything to complain about! this is an amazing work and full stars all around. YOU SHOULD BE VERY PROUD!
i love the idea of stripping back a walking simulator and making a super short 2d experience. it was an intriguing story and had some of the best use of the theme i have seen. (lots of last messages from a lost civilisation) the music was a bit grading and it was unfortunate that there where no puzzles to speak of. overall great work!!!
i really enjoyed it! also i appreciate the mac version. the art and characters where great i was really disappointed when the hand drawn backgrounds where replaced with photos as they seemed out of place. while this was a solid demo of a VM i do not feel it was a "mystery game" in it's current state. however this game was still very enjoyable!!! thank you for sharing.
