The concept is pretty good and for a jam game, it's fine!
I don't think I've seen an incremental/clicker game with this setting/concept.
If you want to push it forward, I've got a few suggestions or notes:
- the game doesn't properly scale up, it stays on a small portion of the window. It's not ideal.
-Right now, as it stands, it's a fairly short game, here are a few
New delivery methods, changing "markets" (aka rewards or time for delivery might change due to random events or competition), adding the possibility to automate the deliveries instead of endlessly clicking, maybe adding a research panel where you can unlock upgrades (Like going from foot delivery to bike, to motorcycle, to truck, etc.), it's a bit like your upgrade system but with more context; maybe adding per method both the number of packages delivered and the speed at wich it can be delivered (example: by foot, you will take a long time, and only deliver a small number of packages, while by truck, you can go faster, further and carry more, and upgrades can grow these numbers), there are some other ideas to explore but they might get too far away from the original concept.
But otherwise, pretty lovely game!
This was surprisingly good!
I've never really been into hypnosis but wow, that was impressive.
I haven't been able to fully go into trance but it was really close, I only got out because of some itchiness and some hair that felt down on my face.
They were too distracting but before that, I was feeling super heavy, tingly and all of my thoughts were too soft and smooth to fully catch them.
So, definitely impressive!
As it is, it's a decent start! The falling blocks are a pretty nice touch.
But if you intend to improve it in the future, here are a few things:
-The upgrade where programmers' number impact other jobs is a great mechanic, the main issue is that, after a few days of playing, I can't remember exactly the numbers or the specifics.
It would be super cool to have a way to see all the upgrades you bought.
-Usually, these types of games are pretty much endless, so I like to set myself a goal like "once I've got 100 of each things, I stop"; but there are a few issues with that.
First, the falling blocks are good, but once you reach a certain number, there is not enough place anymore. Maybe you could combine some of the blocks. For example, Imagine I've got 10 Testers, instead of using 10 blocks, maybe we could replace them by a single block of another colour, or a single bigger block.
Second, like most of these games, there is usually a plateau. Here, it's been a few weeks I think, and I still don't have 100 Project managers or Community managers.
It's okay, it's not a deal breaker, I usually launch these types of game before starting my work, during my launch break and once the day is over.
But for some, it might be. Usually, the remedy is a kind of prestige system: you start all over but with a bonus. So, for example, if I start over at 1 trillion bits, all my employees would give me +5% more bits or something like that.
Anyway, pretty cool game and nice execution!
Hello everyone!
I'm Nicolas, a french game artist student (Supinfogame if you want to know all). 19 y.o.
I'm mostly into pixel art these days. Sorry I'm still working on my portfolio and I don't think there are games I've been working on somewhere on internet (soon).
But you can see some of my work on twitter: https://twitter.com/nowk_n
I can use the Adobe suite (Illustrator, Flash, Photoshop...), 3DSMax, Zbrush, Unity (I don't really know how to code things), Unreal engine (same as Unity), Fl Studio (some sounddesign so) and probably other things that I forget for now.
I'll be available the whole weekend.
It's my very first Ludum, but I'd love to work with people that I absolutely don't know, and I'm sure we can have some fun!
(Don't hesitate to send me a message via twitter btw ;) )
