Above is incorrect, if you watch it then it stops at the size it ends up being its just the server acts like its the real end of the file.

Trying to launch an update here, the fact it fails and acts like it downloaded fine but is corrupted is confusing to users and I'm postponing launch because of this, at least if the system reported the fail correctly to the browser users would know it downloaded wrong and the issue was on itch's side.

Same here, and the browser is acting as if the download was successful so users have no idea the file is corrupted
