Really cool game, I love the idea and the vibe! Like you've said, there are some balancing issues (I had a volt and green guy combo at the start that demolished everything almost instantly). Really appreciate you disclosing your use of AI, I recognise that it does make me feel worse about the game, and I think it's admirable that you did so (seemingly) knowing how it may effect your score. ty for the cool game and being a cool person!

Really cool game! I liked the idea and think that it's a really strong base to work off of. The game has a very cosy feel especially the music, which keeps me calm as I frantically move my mouse across my desk trying not to get hit!

As you have mentioned on the page the game could do with some more polish, I ran into some bugs (upgrades showing mid round, game stopping working when I moved my mouse to my second monitor). Was able to just go over an enemy with burst to almost immediately pop them, and the balancing could do with some more work, but for challenging yourself with a bigger scope, you have by no means done badly. (that's to say, really good submission!)

The games really good, I like how it feels aware of it's inspirations and is able to expand on them in an interesting way, not sure whether the time it took me to get all S-Ranks was worth it though.

As for a bit of feedback, sometimes things would be hidden behind other things (like the key projectile behind the guy) which would make it difficult to dodge, I also occasionally had some of the ghosties spawn on top of me (mostly when I was in the corner) and I think in general it might just be a little bit too difficult.

Its a really good game! The idea fits the theme amazingly and the low health music is great!

I think the game has some balancing issues, some of the modifiers basically do nothing when you have another (increase damage doesn't matter if I'm on one shot etc) and I never really felt challenged. The choices made in moment to moment gameplay is next to non-existent, it might have been cool to have the player not locked to the green zone, but the timer only progresses if you're in there?

I did also run into a couple of problems, I didn't notice any change after selecting boomerang bullets? Also had a minute or so lag spike on level 29, after which I was just dead.

Overall I think that the idea is there and the choice of debuffs is engaging, but the active gameplay could do with some more work.

Really fun, though I wonder why their houses keep getting set on fire?

Feedback wise, it might be nice to have a timer, and a bit more hugging skill expression (since rn its run around and hope that theres people to befriend)

Also I can't ignore the voice acting: it Absolutely PEAK!

The characters were great, it would be nice to see this further developed!

I like how unified in vision the game is, nothing feels the slightest bit out of place on this weird path to clunky town. I will say though, I could have done with a visual prompt to jump as, I only realised after about 7 attempts to the rock that I could press space. Anyways, congrats on the game!

I see cat, I play. I see lots of cats, I happy!

Its always fun being a gooes, I had some trouble with the birds, since it was hard to tell when they'd attack if I was attacking them. I enjoyed the town, the animals do a very good job of making it feel lively!

I had fun! Got a score of 98!

My Flymps:

Truly a piece of art, this game. :)

Super cool game, I tried some methods where the mouse moved so quickly that the monster flew of screen never to be seen again, but in the end I managed to get a score of 4743!

Genuinely the most locked in I've been all day! gg

I came for cute round fellow, I got a Bennett Foddy style rage game and a great sorrow for Chris. That aside, its a really nice game!

Apparently I'm not as good at mashing my keyboard as some other people here (D rank), but I had a hell of a good time anyways! (great first game!)

Lens knows of keys from different realms I see :)

A fun little game! The movement felt ok, but was notably lacking the usual platformer things (coyote time and input buffering). I did manage to softlock myself, same way Mikzam did, but I reset and made it to the town with colour!

I really like this wacky little town, you've done a great job of making it feel lively! Also: Epft uif 4ui lfz fyjtu? (Caesar cipher +1)

I accidentally had sound off for my first playthrough, so played again whilst spamming honk the entire time :)

If you were to develop it a bit further, I think it'd be nice to have different ending, or at least to feel your decisions a bit more, since rn it feels like "guess which option doesn't kill you"

Also this is the 3rd game I've played this jam with pizza in it? Anyways very fun being a goose!

Rufus did indeed, go to town.

I found it a bit annoying when I killed a slime and was unable to move backwards much to be able to pick up the drop, and they also retain the ability to hurt the player in their death animation. But overall, it a nice chill little game!

The first thing I did was look at my hands, figure out which way was right, and go the opposite way.

I did still reload and play through the game a couple more times to see what was right, and I really like what you've done! gg

Having hard controls for a jam game is a risk, and for me at least, you pulled it off! It feels so chaotic to go between the air pump, wheel and speed thingy to manoeuvre in the vehicle, the style of the game was also nice.

I feel like you could add a visual to the wheel for the top or something, as it was really hard to tell which way I was steering, and if you were to continue to develop it, I'd experiment with different game structures (maybe levels?) as feeding the birds feels a bit endless and not very impactful. Apart from that building on the chaotic nature of the ship could be a lot of fun!

This game is really good! The level of polish is astounding, especially for a first jam. Short and super sweet!

I had a lot fun, but also quite often feeling like a death wasn't my fault which can be annoying, the enemies don't indicate when they'll attack, on some levels you have them under the floor, so if they shoot you it can be unreactable sometimes. I felt a lot more inclined to use the grapple over the dash, since i just found it more fun, so that might not have helped.

I found it fun, but a bit too punishing, bumping into something felt like a guaranteed hit, and some of the rocks didn't really read as "bump-in-to-able". That said the idea was silly and the art was nice! Good job!

I enjoyed the idea, was a little too simple of a stealth system to feel very engaging, but for a jam its good!

I feel I understand cats better after playing this, its oddly therapeutic to destroy every glass in sight.

The art style was silly, the music was good (though it didn't loop?) and the gameplay was fun! >:3

Loved the game, the art style was great! Only feedback I have is that it was a little bit too easy to get into the rhythm of shrimp frying rice,

Why can't billy be happy with 9 donuts? (gg I had fun!)

I tend to be pretty bad a rhythm games, but I think I got the hang of it! The score didn't reset for me between runs, so I had about 50k score after 3 goes.

I'm a bit curious about how you placed the notes in, are they just placed above screen at a position so they sync up with the music?

Anyways the game was fun! Congrats!

Its a fun game, though I felt like it could be a little bit punishing (got 20 people missed 1 and got a rating of 3.03?) Also the red car did disappear, during my second go, not sure how but yeah.

I liked the goofiness of the art style, and I enjoyed the chaotic feeling of having to wait for an elephant to move out of the way so I can get to the statue of liberty! Overall a great experience!

Really fun (and silly) game! I feel like there are some balancing problems, when I had gotten the score needed to progress, I felt incentivised to stop playing as the only way I lose points is if I actually play the game. But, that being said, the core gameplay feels really good, with only minor things getting in the way of it and the art style is very charming. This may be the best game in this jam that I've played so far.

This game did suck, so I burnt the entire thing to the ground.

I had a lot of fun with this, the basic platformer controls are decent (which can be very hard to do in a jam), and I love the way the credits were included in the game. GG or should i say GS (Game Sucks (in a good way))

A rat eat my Pizza so I screamed, and it died.

The game was fun, I especially liked the art (I felt it enhanced the silliness of the game a good bit) Overall great jam game!

I love the vibe, feels reminiscent of Animal Cross (like others have said).

I really liked it! Also appreciate the sheet music being available.

That's weird, the scritch player only uses the ogg i believe, and it does work on my end. May I ask what browser you're using?

In theory this game is bad, but it just doesn't run long enough to get any other thought other than "that's it huh" preventing it from realising its truly terrible potential.

I wasn't able to move left (but you do get 5 stars for bugs ;) ), which basically made the game impossible, though I still got the idea of it, and the risk of it crashing did have me open task manager just in-case. Overall, pretty bad game, well done.

This is objectively, a bad game, yet I really had fun with it! I found the silliness of it inspiring me to draw stuff like cats, blenders and some weird hunch-back creature with a spiky spine, whilst having little care for whether it looked good or not. (so urr thank you i guess lol)
