Woah thank you so much for recommending it! I feel the update made skill checks more fair (stops people from auto succeeding) and additionally makes skills easier to obtain.

Hi Hadess. Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you're enjoying the game! If you want to create your own character card I tend to try not to go above 8 with any of the stats as this means the character has to roll at least one dice to succeed in a check and can't just auto succeed (with a small scale for failure.)

For pool I try not to go above 9 dice and stick around 7, 5 being the lowest. The Philanthropist is an exception with a pool of 10 as they have terrible stats and make up for this by 'paying their way' through stat checks.

In terms of skills do whatever feels right for the class. Create something interesting and out of the box that puts the game on its head. The Tulpamancer for example or the Artists homunculus.

It's best to think of a very interesting skill, then make it weaker and have your initial idea as the advanced version.

Hey thanks for the comment. This is entirely fair and I'll look into rebalancing this, in the mean time feel free to house rule away! I like to think of zines as more guidelines than hard rules anyway.

Addressing the minor issues:
- Dash was never intended to restore sap and I've updated the description to say so.
- Units can only hold 1 weapon as described on page 7 but I've clarified this further on that page.
- I see the problem with spawn killing and have updated the rules to make spawn point selection random.

There's a PvP mode that involves fast gameplay and quick deaths. Players respawning happens often and they slowly improve as they play, collecting upgrades. There's also an unarmed and armed mode for each unit, as they can throw their weapon, becoming faster but unable to attack without it.

The other game mode is player Vs a giant rat as players work together to take down a dangerous and constantly mutating giant rat.

I certainly can. Postage will most likely be £9-14 outside the UK and £7 within the UK (except a super special tier which will cost more for shipping)

You are right, it cannot go under 1. Also NPCs can use all the actions pcs can.

ah I see, there should be a raw text version in the documents as well if you want to print that out.

That pdf should print friendly, there's a bleed on it.

You could replace it with cartoony humans if you like, but losing bones is an integral mechanic within the ring, so things could get very gruesome if replaced with fleshy bits.

The file size is because there's a secret mystery hidden in the meta data of the code and not because I don't own indesign and create all my pdfs raw in photoshop.

Choro is 長老 Elder. But it is a play on the lovecraftian concept of Eldritch or Elder God which relates to The Eyes within the game. Hope this clears it up!

Skullbox is a wonderfully simple and beautifully created rpg that feels like Dungeon Keeper but on steroids. The players control skulls in boxes, each player using a different box (class) as they defend a dungeon. Fighting off adventurers who want to steal their treasure, utilising interesting traps to do so. 

I love this concept. The idea of containing a dungeon on a menu is genius. And the magical items are so weird and gross, I love it! Especially liked how each area of the kitchens was it's own little world/faction that interacted with each other and the players in different ways. 

Fully recommend this to other DMs
