Team Neon Blue is officially pushing the limits of the arcade genre with our latest massive update to Neon Slice. We’ve moved past the experimental phase and are heading straight for v1.0. This update, v0.76, is a complete mechanical overhaul designed to test your reflexes and strategy.

👾 8 NEW ENEMY TYPES

The void is no longer a simple place. We’ve added threats that require more than just a quick flick:

• Splitter: Slicing this enemy creates two smaller, faster versions.
• Stealth Bomber: Completely invisible until they are right in your face.
• Phantom: Only vulnerable when they choose to be visible.
• The Tank: Requires multiple slices to bring down.
• Also featuring: Zigzagger, Orbiter, Star, and the Shielder.

🔮 9 NEW ORB POWER-UPS ("The Artifacts")

To combat the new threats, we’ve added a library of random drops to help you manipulate the game:

• ⚡ Chain Lightning: Clear the entire screen with a single strike.
• ⏪ Time Rewind: Snap back in time, restore lives, and clear boss projectiles.
• ⚔️ Clone Blade: Double your slicing power with a twin blade.
• ❄️ Freeze Time: Stop everything for 4 seconds to plan your path.
• Plus: Berserker, Ghost Mode, Score Bomb, Combo Frenzy, and the Rich Orb.

May 2026 is going to be a huge month for Neon Studios. While our sister team (Neon Green) is working on the King Boss in Vector Dash, we are dedicated to making Neon Slice the sharpest experience on itch.io.
