WOW ! The nodes are so well designed, the way they move, the connections, and creation and upgrading is all great! Are the nodes and connections systems pre built in Godot or did you make everything? The music and sound is good too. As a mechanical demo this is perfect and could easily be turned into a full game if that is your goal, otherwise it is a great proof of concept that I would want to play more of!

This game is soo cool! I really like the connecting of towers and their boosts and making long strings of connected roots. Really great! I like that when you hover over a root it shows you all of the connections for that whole root, and the card system is very easy to use. Sometimes though I wasn't quite sure when a root was connected successfully as there would be roots near eachother but they didn't seem connected but I think it was getting boosts anyway? Not sure, but I really enjoyed the game and planning where to put my towers and boosts. The game did crash for me at around wave 21, but it was running well before that, the sound is good and overall, I really enjoyed playing this game. Nice!

Pretty nice, I like the background and music, it helps with the abstractness. I played as well as I could and got to over 7000 points and then I realized that getting hit doesn't cause you to lose the game but only lose points, then I reset the game and played in reverse and got to -8000 or so to see what would happen. The game never ends, it will go forever. Other than that, the game ramps up in speed nicely and had me focused on matching the right direction. The visual feedback is really good! The score text scales and there's lots of particles.

A nice and solid lazer puzzle game, a classic. This one is pretty solid as far as lazer puzzles go. I like that there are blocks to remove and that you can see the lazer path as it goes. The puzzles are well done and there are 3 levels. Since this is a jam it makes sense that this game has 2 easier levels and then 1 real hard level to show off what a real level would look like. I did find the lazer to be a bit slow especially when there were lots of connections, not a big issue. I also would sometimes forget how many times I had hit a block already and from where, so for example a 2/4 number or something might be helpful instead of just showing 2. Also in the last level there were a lot of lazer blocks that didn't need to be used at all and are just there to add some noise. This is actually a good thing usually to make it harder, but the noise made it so I was a bit confused about what the most efficient solution was after I had solved it. Also at one point in the last level the lazer was starting as purple and starting from a different block and I wasn't sure why.  Overall solid lazer puzzle game. Nice work.

This can definitely be interpreted by different opinions, but I think that changing values like that for playability would be OK just make sure to put in your games page that there was an update. Something like a sensitivity slider for example would be a feature imo but changing one value is probably OK. You can always ask an admin to be sure

Cool! A lot like World of Goo mechanically. I think this game would go great on mobile devices. Some of the physics is weird especially with balloons, I had them completely invert and collapse my bridge because I used too many of them, also sometimes the end points of the wood planks would split off when there was a lot of force applied. Overall really simple to understand and play, though level 3 was a LOT harder than the first two, I was still able to make it through and had a nice time, the sound and especially the music is really good.

A modular magical tower defense CollaboWindows Defense by ndelaplace

This game is SO AWESOME! I think the auto battle format works super well with the connecting of nodes like this game has as it gives you time to decide how to optimize your build and shop a bit before starting. I found it easy to connect nodes and figure out what can be connected or not, the highlighting possible nodes when selecting is really helpful. The shop is easy to use, though I was a bit confused on how many shop phases there were before going into battle, and I tried to click & drag to scroll the shop cause the scrolling was a bit slow. I like that you give the player some nodes that are too high level to equip at the start so they can see what that looks like. Overall, this game so clever! Really fun and really cool.

The error successful window is just a joke and is part of the game haha.

Okay I was able to place towers and the robots would go to it. I shot down some of the alien things which was a bit tough with no crosshair and the super high sensitivity and low FOV. The gunshot audio was loud and so was the reload so that surprised me. I continued along placing and picking up the towers as I went and then suddenly my robots had been destroyed! I guess there was an alien that spawned behind them or something. The end of game screen has a go back to menu button but there is no menu.

Cool! I really like the concept of managing a planet and the ecosystem within it, all the plant life and animals are connected in that way. There was definitely a lot of thought put into the placement system, as you can't put animals into water and it will find land near them to safely place in. I had about 100 rabbits on a small patch of land so I started moving them out into the flower fields and then the game got super laggy! I kept on playing and had tons of animals and flowers on the planet and was vibing to the music. For some reason the game didn't want to zoom or go fullscreen for me so I played it in the corner of my browser but it was all good. Also, I wasn't sure what gave me the blue gems was it just a time thing or did the ecosystem give me blue gems? Either way I was spending them and getting lots of animals with them all on 2x birth rate.

Really cool! I Like the upgrading system and the physics on the walker. Having the resources collected by throwing the axe/pickaxe is very smart and makes resource gathering convenient, though the resources stopped going into my hotbar and so I had to use TAB to see them. You have to manage both your own HP and the HP of the walker while gathering resources and getting rid of Goblins. The goblins are glitchy and really a lot of things are glitchy but that's OK because this game is pretty awesome conceptually. One thing I would have liked to have seen is an FOV slider because the default is way too low for me and was uncomfortable to use. Super neat idea and well done!

I looked this up yesterday cause I was curious too and it is not visible but the way it works is basically by comparing the number of comments/reviews you leave compared to how many your game has. If you leave lots of reviews and your game has few, you will have higher karma. Inversely, if you get lots of reviews and don't leave any then your karma will be lower.

I think bug fixes are considered OK after the deadline. Just put it in the description with the date to let players know.

Thank you! I was actually working on a GameDev.TV blender course and when I saw the theme was Connections I immediately thought of shader graph editing but for magic. I'm glad you picked up on the similarities

Wow! I LOVE the music and the music visual responses in the skulls, the people icons and the powerups. The game gets really fast and makes you stay focused especially if you are trying to collect powerups as well. I did occasionally get my line stuck on itself or get stuck in a corner. If you are going quickly you can make a line straight from person to person and maybe get some pickups on the way. Survival is more important than powerups unless you see the infinity which is just super strong, thought it can leave you in a bad spot when it ends. I got on the leaderboard 3rd place with around 6800 pts. Really good music and I like the leaderboard integration. Slick!

I played it more because I wanted to see if it was the powerplants and it was! This time I got to over level 79 and had nothing stopping me. I built pretty much everything except the bank. The coal plant says it needs to be built in deep water so I expanded the map until I found enough deep water to build and then it turns out it has to be built on land! I had tons of workers and when I made a super long pipe to a data center the game would lag a bit, also the music put me to sleep. Really great and I totally got it after playing for a bit! Also I paused at lvl 79 to take the screenshot and when I went back to the game I stopped gaining XP for some reason. Anyway cool!

Wow! Really great building management game. The first time I played I thought it was like an idle game, and then I lost. I tried again and realized that none of my buildings were connected with pipes and that's why they all had red ? on them. My 2nd try I thought I was doing really well, I had the water and electricity over the red lines for the bars by the map, and they on day 13 I lost suddenly without realizing why. I think it might have been the data center now that I read the description? The piping system and connecting tiles and the different tiles and level up choices are really good and polished but I didn't end up needing a bigger map in the amount I played.

Cute! I like games that have you control two characters at once. I think that having the topic locations in the maze be different for them both so you have to navigate differently for them even though it's the same maze layout is a good use of the maze. My only gripe is that the movement feels slow but it's not bad. I did try mismatching topics to see what would happen and they just don't click. I really like the art and the cutscenes they are funny (67!) and cute and tell a story visually without dialogue (like burning something cause you lost track of time). I got all the topics and finished the game.

I like that you can charge up your lazer, but I wish I knew when it was fully charged with a sound or an effect so I didn't have to guess the timing of it. The game has a clear goal of get the high score and don't touch enemies or lose all your health but the gameplay was very stale without powerups or enemy variety. The game has a solid menu system that lets you pause, exit, see the credits, controls, and change options.

Played the game and figured out how to use abilities, move and jump. I tried out a few different abilities on the doors and enemies and the only one that seemed to make a difference was the dash which made me super fast. I wasn't sure what the cannon and discharge were doing exactly besides make cool particles. I ran into the enemies and hit F and they would disappear, same with the doors. I dashed all the way into the mall and then there was emptiness. I like the dog sprite and the music is pretty nice.

I'm at 42 reviews and counting, most of which I left a comment too. That's only about 5% of the games submitted! I go mostly by Most Karma, and people who I've interacted with. Theres a lot to play! Going through them has been very enjoyable. It is interesting to see the wide variety of genres and ways developers use the theme in their games.

Really interesting, I love the art style and use of lighting and color effects. The toilet puzzle and pedals and controls are all easy and simple to understand, but I wasn't sure exactly what made the sound "good" I was just throwing mixers on there (really cool audio effects btw) and seeing what would happen. At one point I set the drums to max speed and the guy said it was too slow! I did see the end screen and give it another go to try out the music effects, but I wasn't sure what the guy wanted it to sound like. Also how did you make sound effects in Unity WebGL?  Most mixer effects aren't even supported in WebGL builds!

Pretty nice matching game with the added challenge of enemies that break your line. Easy to understand. I wasn't sure at first if I could go through other lines but you can, and I wasn't sure if the color mattered but it doesn't seem to. I played a custom game with 100 pairs and 50 enemies and at some point the colors repeat so you can't tell which pair is correct based on the colors anymore because there are multiple pairs using the same color. Overall nice and I like that there is a leaderboard.

If your goal was to make the mechanics feel good then you hit the mark. Connecting the plug to turrets and switching the colors feels good and is very intuitive to understand. The gameplay is alright, pretty simple and easy, but you have to be constantly switching plugs and colors to defend properly. I really like that there is a tutorial. The options button did not seem to do anything in game, but the menu button does work, also the music was much much quieter than the sound effects, especially the next wave horn which is quite loud.

Wow! Really great story and presentation. This game was very emotional and did a great job of conveying the grief and reflection on a life lost too soon. I cry every tim. Really amazing feedback on the heartbeats, I really felt scared at the end as they got faster and then slowed down, with all the fog and tree roots glowing it really gave a sense of being in a dream like state (or coma). The particles are squares and the trees have inverted normals but it did not detract from the story in my perspective. Super!

Pretty neat, I figured out how to make the train needed and get it where it needs to go. There are definitely some UI issues with overlapping tutorial text boxes, and when I opened the pause menu it was behind a tutorial text box so I couldn't close it with the X at the top. I tried some of the unlabeled buttons hoping it would resume and the one I hit exit the game.  Making the trains and clicking the cameras and switches was all working well though

Got around 115 points, the music is droning but the gameplay is clear and I like the feedback on correct connections

Thank you so much for playing and streaming my game!

I think you are spot on with the flaws that a new player experiences in the window management being overwhelming and the missing quality of life features when spawning, attaching nodes, and moving them. If I had feedback and time to work more I would definitely add more quality of life features and reduce the window management especially on easy mode. Thank you for this detailed feedback!

Cool puzzles! I like the movement mechanics. I got through the levels relatively easily except for the challenge level. I was trying to use the plugs as platforms and a lot of times I would click on a plug to move it and it would also move the one I was standing on causing me to die! I did figure out that if I magnet a plug to me while running and jumping that I can land on top of it and get some leverage but if it wasn't enough on the first try then I would die when resetting the plug to try again. Overall I like the mechanics and puzzles! This game is well polished too.

Thanks! The programming the nodes was definitely a fun challenge figuring out how exactly to transmit the information from node to node through to the player with the various upgrades and bullet types (the secret is strings & event calls), as well as communicating that with audio, text effects, statistics, and all that.  I am glad you liked it!

Cool! It took me a second to realize you had to actually connect the guns to the upgrades XD but then I was absolutely destroying the enemies and made it past wave 12. Pretty cool I like the upgrades they feel super powerful.

Made it to level 4. Using the Lazer properly is crucial to defeating the bosses quickly without taking too much damage. I like that the shapes you add each give a unique bonus and that the ship becomes a big blob of blocks as you play making it harder to dodge bullets.

I would love to see video of someone playing my game! :) CollaboWindows Defense by ndelaplace

I was clicking much much faster than normal cause I was trying to see what was in the pinata. I thought it would give me tons of money for upgrades or something and then I had won XD

This game is so cute. The characters are all unique and there's so many of them. Some of them I really clicked with, some not so much. How can someone dislike clacky keyboards? XD

This game is so cute!!! I love that there is some light purple to guide you on the way and the aesthetic is just incredible. I haven't seen that green scratch flag in so long I was surprised but this game is so good. I found the length and difficulty to be perfect for me. Great!

That cat is evil! A nice memory matching game where you are being chased. Pretty neat.

This game looks really nice and has good sound, I like the upgrades and was able to beat the pinata after just a few damage upgrades. Are the upgrade paths the connections for the theme?
