this is such a cool game and concept, you captured everything perfectly. it would be amazing to play this on an old CRT.

The png format was released in 1996, i haven't played through it yet to work out if this was intentional?

also i triggered the *event* in the paint program but seem to be soft-locked,

thanks so much for the feedback Shiv!

I'll add in an acknowledgement to give proper respect where it's due. I haven't played many games with an Australian setting before and I really wanted to make one, so this is a learning experience for me.
Edit: I've updated the game description. When I next have some time will add in an in-game message.

I'd like to echo what everyone else has said about this lovely game your team has made!
It was short but really sweet.

This game is so good, I hope you get featured! It's well worth the whole playthrough.

This little game was a lot of a fun, serene and mildly hectic fun. I thought at first I could get away without precise placement, but as the scope zoomed out, the blocks I had placed closer to the earth began to trigger the warning zone.

The music and little comments made this a joy to play.

Thank you for making it!

This game is so cute, challenging and polished, it basically feels finished. I agree with everyone else, I hope your game gets featured!

Thanks so much for making this, I had a lot of fun!

I do want to ask why you didn't make a WebGL/browser build as playing in browser is a big incentive for a lot of people reviewing games?

the pop up very nearly did. I had to sit there and guess (I was lucky)

that's so cool, thanks for the indepth reply! Yeah I could definitely sense behind the text that there was a lot more going on in terms of lore. Please do let me know when your current game has a demo or something as I'd definitely like to wishlist it!

five stars for enjoyment! I went in purposely trying to not know what to expect and it was worth it! My favourite distraction was the steam notification!

I really like your font choice and as others have said, artistic direction. The digital painting is exceptional! The audio was also particularly atmospheric, particularly for the ending scene. I found the gameplay a little humorous as I was just randomly trying to connect dots imagining the mysterious character literally waving the staff around hoping something connects. Maybe that's a reference to memory?

The text of the constellation descriptions are.. interesting. Did you come up with each description yourselves?

Thanks again for making a really cool game!

I really like your game, it had a short and sweet setup, intriguing setting and got straight into the falling action!
The metal soundtrack really helped make the experience fun!

Adding in a temporary shield or gain health item would encourage more risk taking by the player to move left and right, I mostly spent the game pressing S and waiting to use spacebar to avoid obstacles.

As others have said, a little warning icon at the bottom of the screen near where obstacles are going to spawn would go a long way to make the game feel a little bit more fair, as it was kind of annoying whenever I was right near the bottom of the screen and got hit with an obstacle when I could have just slowed down a little to be careful.

This is still a really fun game! Thanks!

Neat! this was a cool little game that had all aspects working together to make a really fun experience! I'd probably just have a flashing circle for the main server shield to make that clearer, but everything else was spot on!

I rated your game pretty highly! The ascii art was cool, but what really makes this game unique is the sudden ability to research technologies. I don't often see research purchases available in idle clicker games, so that was a neat twist, as well as that ending!
If you were going to add minor changes to the game, I'd suggest adjusting the button costs to be in units (K,M,B, etc) so it's easier to see just how high the numbers are, after the hundred thousand, I just clicked on whatever buttons were available.
Thanks for making such a cool game!

It took some getting used to the controls and the view angle, but once I did it was really fun zoom through the sky and taking out the drones!
I really felt like I was a bird.
What feels unique about this looping mechanic is the addition of birds to the flock to deal damage when looping enemies, that was pretty neat!

thanks! I think you can still update your game jam page so I'd suggest including the link for other people

Those drop spoons!!! haha this was such a zany and fun combination of amazing visual novel art and frantic cereal racing. Giant spoon loads of fun!! The dialogue was a lot of fun to read and really gave the incentive to play through each level to find out more about what was happening. I really liked your game!

This is an amazing game 25/25 and a really creative take on the Loop theme! The fact that the stories have an impact makes for some chill, but not so-chill decisions in wanting to have a near perfect arrangement of stories and the content of the stories.
Your game is going to be such a big hit for Twitch streaming.
Also the point calculation was super polished, love it!

As other have said, wow, what an intro. I feel like I could spend a lot of time getting into this game, it feels like it's really got a lot of (lamb) meat to it. Super polished and really unique and memorable art and audio. Oh man the audio, I had to lower the volume I was getting shivers.

You guys really nailed it with this one!

I rated your game super high. It's just so much fun to play! I did get stuck on the second level, but there's so much to like about this game. It was a really creative take and I felt it the first few seconds of moving forward in the game. It felt like watching magic.

Thank you.

The music was super chill and the visuals really crisp. I like the color palette and felt this game was executed well. Super fun to play and I like the recursive theme!
Thank you for making such a cool and fun game!

This was a fun and well polished example of how making a big number going up can be fun if done right! I completed the final level without too much effort but it felt like I had to do just the right amount of thinking.
The audio was nice and not too intrusive. I did find the visual blurring a little distracting and would have preferred and option to disable it. I think the inventory choices really help make which numbers to input a little more exciting.
Thank you for such a fun game!

This is such a fun concept executed very well with a good amount of polish thrown in too! I had a lot of fun playing this and even replaying levels is just an absolute pleasure.
I really like everything about this game!

You guys have made a really fun game. I really love the music in this game and that opening setting!
Interesting level design and the pixel art is really nice too! I like how the little eyes on the boxes move, it really makes them feel more alive.
Thank you!

Thank you!

I rated your game highly in pretty much all categories. You should be proud of making such a fine game in a short time. It's sooo much fun to play this!

Thank you!

This is such a silly yet fun game. Umamusume wants to be the zany craziness of horse racing in this game.
I had a lot of fun, I think the only thing that detracts from this game is that I didn't really care for the upgrades/downgrades as much as watching the tiny horses bounce randomly around the track which was a pleasure in itself. I rated this game really highly for creativity and enjoyment.

Thank you!

It's a really interesting battle concept! I liked the choice of spells and the little scribbled notes in the spellbook! The first battle kind of dragged on for a bit so it would have been nice if that first enemy was a little lower on health. I think this game definitely has potential!

haha I was not expecting the retro rock soundtrack for this game. some interesting puzzles and I like the little cat animations.

Thank you for making the fun game!

oh, the physics weren't buggy it was just so hilarious I wanted to share it! this game is a blast

I'm a bit sad as I couldn't play the game. I got an error saying
Couldn't load project data at path ".". is the .pck file missing?
so I gave you a rating based on the pictures and how I imagined the game would play like.

I played this way longer than I should have. This game is what I love about game jams. It's simple but the little comments and the design of the slope are a perfect match. I rated you highly for creativity, enjoyment, and narrative. The moment when that little boulder rolled down was perfectly timed.
Thank you.

that moment when I recreated the scene of "stuck between a rock and a hard place". (not sure if the picture is showing, but I had my hand trapped under the rock)

You should definitely continue this. I know there's a lot unfinished, but it really engaged me about making the choices. I rated this higher for it's creativity and enjoyment because even if there isn't much visually happening, it gives me a chance to imagine living life again making choices I now wish I had.
Thank you for making this.

If only real cleaning was as much fun as being a cat and slapping furniture haha!

I literally laughed out loud when I found that random empty room left from the kitchen too!

I was hoping someone would do a game about an animal chasing its tail and you did one - yay!
The idea of  the cat shooting a laser from it's tail was pretty cute and I like the nighttime art and chill jazz music. I got stuck at the mirror, but still had fun with the game.
Would be really cool if you can add a little meow whenever the level is complete!

This is a really creatively designed minimalist game.  I like the paint splatters and just switching between red and blue is surprisingly fun yet challenging!
A minimal electro beat would really help make this game shine a bit brighter!

I like the atmosphere of this game, the music, color palette, bg/character design and the mechanic work really well together. I got softlocked by accidentally clicking die on a ledge and I couldn't right click to remove to totem so I stopped playing, but I think this game has a really good core and, if polished a bit more, could be a lot of fun!

You've got a great retro feel and the ball kicking has a really nice thwack/pop effect to it!

Your sprite design and animation work was the main highlight of this game for me.

Great job completing a game!

It felt special to catch a sheep.

I almost figured out the mystery but I got distracted by seeing how many times I could hit people on the head with coins!
super fun!
