Always been a big fan of minesweeper type games so I easily got into this game! Firstly I love the visual style and the audio was on point. The CRT filter mixed with the pixel art always does wonders and I like it every time. Some of the puzzles genuinely took some time to get through so that's already a good sign that they are quite well designed. If I have to give one suggestion it'd be to remove the dialogue section every time there's a type of event since it slows the gameplay down but otherwise this is pretty solid! Awesome work!

Wow I was really impressed going through this game! The wave physics, the fire effects slowly burning objects and causing upward steam particles was very cool to see so huge props on getting those to work! The puzzles were super well-designed as well, from pushing the duck in time towards the goal to requiring different tactics to burning blocks so the duck can safely get past a hole etc, etc. I was genuinely curious on figuring out ways to make it to the end of some puzzles with as little wave uses as possible!
Also I'll say that the pixel art visuals and music / sound design were great! The menu UI was surprisingly great to move around and had settings with a ton of options I didn't expect for a jam title (key remapping, video settings, etc)!
Your team did an amazing job with this title so congrats on the submission!
So far the game seems to very well made and in-depth! I'm surprised with how much you managed to put into this jam title! My initial gripe was with the UI where trying to exit to different screens was buggy and got me stuck for a bit. Utilizing your ship to fight off other pirates felt pretty good and I loved the amount of upgrades you can get to enhance it. Your team really nailed that "pirate" theme well!
I would recommend adding some tutorial prompts or some sort of guide to the game to help figure out what to do but aside from that this is quite a solid game!
I always like a good breakout clone but I'm not sure if I see any of what you written about the game? You mention all this stuff about educational value and cyber security but I'm not sure how this relates to the game? It does sound very AI generated which if I'm wrong then please let me know.
The game works fine and is simple fun but I'm confused if there's supposed to be more to it?
I love this game's concept! Using sound waves to bounce across the walls and manage a path towards the exit is a great idea! Though, while it may go against some of the ideas of the game, I believe adding in more visual guides to help players could be helpful. Sometimes the waves bounce around too fast in a way where from the player POV it can look like a confusing mess. Maybe when the waves bounce the wall has a slight light indicator on them?
Again, great game idea and I'd love to see something like this fleshed out!
Fun little game! I enjoyed the gameplay loop of going around and watering / putting out fires which was fairly easy to figure out how it works. The art and music were very nice and helped bring out a cute chill aesthetic to the game!
However I do think that dealing with the fire spreading enemies was a chore to do as they appear without warning and end up causing too much damage before I can react. Perhaps adding some sort of warning indicator or icon to find where it is easier could help with that? I also do think that figuring out what to water was difficult as the patches of plants all look very similar to each other. A couple of times I just randomly went around and watered anywhere I can.
To finalize my thoughts, I think this was a pretty great game! With just a bit more polish this could be a enjoyable small release.
Was a bit confused at first when the game just started when you open it up but I eventually figured out how to make things work! Placing down towers to attack or block the oncoming wave felt great and I can see this being pretty addicting to play.
I feel with some upgrades or changes to the game the further you go would be enough to make a fun full release title!
Big props to the art used in the game as well, they look amazing!
As the others said before, really enjoy the "Pew" sound effect LOL! But for real I do say this is a cool idea for an "idle" game prototype and could work if more fleshed out! But make sure if you make an "Idle" game then try to allow everything to be automated so players don't have to constantly click back to continue.
Nice little game! I really loved the art made for the story segments and the piano BGM really helped sell the care free and beautiful vibe of the setting! The simple premise of pushing the boat alongside the river is nice but I feel like there should be some variety to the game as I ended up mashing waves to progress. Overall, great first game project!
Took me awhile to figure out what to do at first such as running the restaurant or how to use items but eventually I figured it out! Maybe a tutorial or some type of guide would help players in figuring out how the game works. But its a pretty neat restaurant business sim! If you could flesh out and find ways to better teach how the game works to players then I can see this could be a fun full project idea!
First things first, I'll say that visually the game looks great with all the lights and particle effects as well as the sound design really adding to making the game feel much more impactful! I love the idea of crashing and making waves to attack but I feel maybe it could use some incentive to not just spam Space to rapidly create waves, its not bad but felt very simple to play. Also the camera angle being up close and at an angle did cause some issue with gauging where things are and how to move.
Nonetheless, great idea and a fun game! I did enjoy it enough to continue playing for quite a bit!
Hello there!
Found out about this game jam recently and thought I'd make a post looking for a team to join!
I've worked on quite a bit of game jams in the past, including some where I worked as a team lead on the project. I figured I'd join in with a team to help spread out and meet some new cool developers this time around!
I specialize in using Unreal Engine for game development primarily but can also assist in other engines too if it ever comes down to it. I also work a lot with UI designing and programming which I find one of my most favorite parts of a game to work on.

Nice roguelike! I like the premise of the game revolving around circling around and selecting different tiles to change to. Visually it looks pretty cool too (the player character reminds me a lot of Hollow Knight). There's a few bugs here and there but its not all that bad for a 4 day jam project so good work here!
Firstly I'll say I love the visuals in this game! The cyberpunk aesthetic with the neon lights looks amazing! However I feel the game is a bit confusing on what to do at first since it does just drop you in without any notion on what to do. Overall, I love the concept and I could see potential if it was fleshed out more!
Oh wow someone else did a game with drifting cars around as well!
Firstly I got to say I love the art of the game! Its very stylized and really pops out at you which I find very fitting for the speed focused vibe of this game! I like the idea of trying to use the grapple hook to hit max speed but I feel the game was too cramped to really make the most of the idea. Also the UI for stuff like the pause menu didn't seem to work on my end and the tutorial didn't really show me how to play. Overall, nice work especially for how short this jam was!
Hello there, congrats on finishing your game! I was confused on what to do for combatting the boss as there wasnt any visual indicators or health bars working that showed if I was doing anything to it. It would've been best to visualize this stuff to help the player know what to do. Good job for a first time Unreal project!
I enjoyed the cool VHS effect look to the game, definitely gave it a retro-ish vibe. However I wasn't too sure what I was supposed to do in the game aside from switching the shield color to match the bullet in order to block it (I assume?). Love that little Ikaruga mechanic reference. Maybe if there was a bit more indication on what to do to beat the boss then that would be great. Nice work however!
Hey there! I love the horror Sci-Fi setting and atmosphere this game has going on for it and the little cutscenes are pretty well done! The combat though probably needs some refining as the bosses seemed to have way too much health and I wasn't sure if my shots were doing anything to them. Also some minor bugs I've noticed were the Pause menu allowing me to move around during it and the sound somehow cutting off when a boss fight starts. Overall though, nice game!
Nice game! I really enjoyed the main attack mechanic of spinning the yoyo around! Had to get used to winding it up and throwing it but after awhile it was rather easy to use. There were some minor gripes I had like having to press S again to recall the yoyo and the Yoyo wind up not being too clear on how much I've been holding it but aside from that the gameplay and bosses were pretty well done!
Interesting game idea with the kind of spinning top (Beyblades) combat system. Fun fact this was actually one of our initial ideas for our game project too! Though it could use some fleshing out with the main combat mechanics since I ended up just spamming click most of the time. Nice idea, I did enjoy it!
Nice work! I like how simple the game is with aiming your sawblade like head towards the enemy though I feel the game could use some touch up on hit feedback especially with the player character as well as make sure the boss doesn't hit during the intro black screen. I kept dying without realizing I was losing health. Good job on the game however!
HI, thanks for the feedback! We do tend to update this game a bit in the future so we'll this in mind when fixing things. There are dodge abilities when using the Space Bar though not sure about the no boss music playing. We have themes set for each boss so maybe there was some sort of bug that happened which we're sorry to hear. Thanks for letting us know however!
Thanks for the feedback! We do feel that the game could use some refinement to make doing disc combos much more nicer to perform and eventually plan on mending some of these issues down the line on top of adding some new abilities to use (a lot of our ideas ended up on the cutting room floor LOL). Glad you enjoy the visuals too, we're especially proud on that and love that 6th gen aesthetic!
Really cool take on the whole "Spin" theme with clocks. I gotta say I do enjoy the game visually! Definitely feels like an inspired style choice and you guys executed it very well! I do love using the grapple hook to fly around, it feels very satisfying. However I feel as the gameplay could use some fine tuning or at least be better at showing things such as when things are hitting you.
Aside from that, amazing work!
I'm amazed that your team was able to make something like this in just 4 days! The 3D models and design were spot on. Gameplay loop was pretty nice and I had a fun time solving puzzles with the scale mechanic! I would say maybe add in button prompts or a scale guide to help players better gauge on how to properly scale and manipulate the objects but aside from that, great work!
Fun wave defense game! Being able to buy expansion upgrades to expand the scale of the playing field along with various buffs after every round felt addicting. I would say you probably should try to make it clear on how to make use of the expansion system cause I felt a bit loss trying to navigate on what to do.
