Basing an entire little game around these. Amazing work!
(I have also been learning how to make my own thanks to them.)

Not suggesting abandoning itch entirely, but maybe using newgrounds and others as alternatives is a good idea. They don't seem to have these issues. I really love all the jams on here, but if no one can see the game then what's the point? Can't become a better developer without feedback.
I found a list of alternative game hosting sites that I have bookmarked, including newgrounds.
Hi Smurjo,
That sounds pretty frustrating. I've seen far worse than that on here. It doesn't seem like your game triggered anything. I didn't even realise it at first and figured my games must just be too new to show up, but then they never did. And then the commenting restriction.
I haven't been told anything. I've not dealt with such a lack of customer service since I went looking for Netflix support years ago. I've sent multiple e-mails, have multiple support ticket numbers. At this point, I've started looking into itch alternatives and held back on supporting the bundles I wanted to support.
I've only personally had similar issues elsewhere when automated systems flagged me as suspicious for "unusual activity" which is me being autistic and disabled. Inconsistent usage schedule, etc. I am trying to assume the best here.
Hi,I don't know what I have done to deserve this. I haven't ever been able to find my games or pages in search, and now I'm restricted? I barely post the past two weeks or so. I was posting frequently before then and wasn't restricted. Then I make like one or two posts after taking a medical break and I'm restricted.

I have an idea, a website, and a handful of quite useful plugins. I excel at mapping and writing, but I can do passable pixel art and music with time. Coding requires caffeine. Lots of caffeine.
I am also willing to adapt my idea, or toss it in a blender with yours. It is currently attached to a larger setting, but that can also change.
(I mentioned the website because discord doesn’t work on my system)
That new version is out. The game strongly guides you towards the kitchen early on in the day to meet the Food Witch. She has a real name you can discover. Fishing, farming, hunting, cards, NPC activities and NPC emotions are all setup. Their explicit moods are not yet setup though.
Staff will start to ask for pay after a week and I will expand upon the management features, but they will be limited at first since the protagonist did not plan to be a host.
I can make things a bit more on rails, but the NPC emotions, NPC activities, and such are almost finished being setup (in their early states) and I am hopeful that will make up for the lack of quest markers. The next version I release will have a lot more non-routine NPCs as well more world appropriate minigames. (NPCs will die if you don't provide food resources)
Though this is still an early alpha for my first game, so please keep that in mind.
Not a plug or anything, but this is the one I found and used. Was super easy to setup! You just turn it on, add the buttons you want to the list and voila. It comes with controller support too, and is completely free! ^,.^

I will look at rewording things on my games page a bit.
Every NPC has a daily routine setup with the time system. You will find them messing with things, meeting other NPCs, going down hidden paths, leaving items under bookcases, et cetera. I only had one routine fully implemented until today. It does, in some cases, take a few in game days to get to that content but I am working on fleshing everything out. I am just greatly limited on work time by my caretakers. >.<
The game actually has auto-save on map load enabled. I think it was turned off for a couple versions after I implemented VisuStella, but it is definitely back on now! ^,.^
Working on the gameplay in between more visitors. 2 show up on day one. 2 show up on day two. 1 shows up on day three.
I am adding minigames to play with the guests, gardening to grow them food, and a bit of management as a host.
