Thank you !!! ^^ -- the musician 🎹

I have no idea how, but after many attempts I finally managed to start the game (I think I double-clicked start? because just clicking start didn't help, bolding it, jumping on it, nothing started it)

But anyway, this was a really nice game! I loved the theme interpretation and the mechanics. The movement was very clunky, but it was fun to play!

Yep, we're aware of this bug `*ʍ* we'll fix it as soon as the voting is over and we're allowed to edit the games again!

And the cards you have are visible on the table, each value has a different appearance :D The Ace is the one with the one big dot in the centre.

Thank you for your kind words! ^^

Halp i can't figure out how to start the game TʍT

This is definitely one of the best submissions imo! Which comes as no surprise, coming from the team behind such bangers as Play with Me and The Last Sentence. You lot always make such great games!!!

I love the graphics!!! And the sound design sdfkghflkjgshdlkgjshdflk !!!!!! And the plot twist after you figure out how to play the game well is really fun! I love all the letters you get at the end of the day :D

Hehe that's alright, I'm just glad I could play it :D

I love the idea, the interpretation of the theme is really original and great imo. The controls are unfortunately extremely clunky, and the slot machines sometimes don't appear as broken, but don't seem to be breakable any more. THE ART THO! The art is super pretty!!!

I couldn't get this to work on Linux with Wine, but I really wanted to play this game because the visuals and the mechanics hinted to in the screenshots seemed very cool, so I bit the bullet and booted up Windows for this game :D

And it's a cool little game with a nice story! My only criticism would probably be that the choices make it VERY obvious what the right thing to choose is, but I know how hard it is to write good non-obvious choices in these pick-your-own-adventure style stories, especially if you don't have very much time. I loved the calming down mechanic, it reminded me of the breathing mechanic in Celeste! And the doomscrolling mechanic was also very fun. I think these two mechanics really helped the story feel way more real!

Thank you so much!!!!!

Thank you!!!

Thanks! Sorry if the game is inconsistent with usual blackjack rules, I was the one implementing that and I only learnt the rules of blackjack at the beginning of the jam *ʷ*" The rules in our design document said you could only bet at the beginning of the round

And yey! I'm so glad you liked the music!!! I'm kinda proud of how it turned out! (The whole tune is kind of a reference to ROTATOR - last year's entry of the team I was in :3 )

Thank you so much! The mechanics of black jack are written  in the game description if you want to try again! I agree that the graphics on the table are probably scaled to be way too small, that's my bad - I tried my best to fit everything there. The cards are purely illustrative though, what's important are the sums that are displayed in the counters next to the cards :D

I also love the art! Nori did an absolutely stunning job as always!

I think I know what issue you're talking about - if you press space during a scene transition, it may break for some reason. Anyway, thanks a lot! I'm so glad you liked the game!

Thank you so much, i'm really glad you enjoyed our game! (and I am personally really glad that the flight mechanics are enjoyable, I spent an unreasonable amount of time on them :D)

Wow! This is such an amazing game! There's always a few absolute gems from each jam and this game's definitely one of them. I loved how funny it was, how polished it was, the controls, the storytelling, the little easter eggs, and overall everything. (During the ending I was wondering whether it was going to go into mathematical analysis territory to define x/0 and reach that 0/0 is undefined, lol)

Thank you so much for the feedback! I have been thinking about this mechanic and I do want to change it a little bit after the voting is over, just for the sake of completion. I think the flying animation transitions could still use a lot of work (I do think they work well, but they could be even better) and the owl doesn't need to be powering through by flapping her wings all the time, maybe she could only flap once in a while. But that might confuse the player even more... I'm going to have to think about this a lot, anyway, thanks again!

Thanks, I'm really glad you liked the game! As @Pivony stated, the key is to build up speed and then let go off the controls -- the owl's collision box changes based on what kind of flight it's performing. I admit that this puzzle is maybe a little bit poorly explained in the game -- it is explained in the City level where it isn't required, and then the player has to remember that into the Cave level, where it actually is required. Nonetheless, I really hope you're able to enjoy the rest of the game now that you know how to pass through! :D

I love this game! It took me very long to complete but it managed to keep me hooked the entire time. I absolutely love games with controls like this, they were a little clunky but I still love them. Very interesting visuals, I love the challenge, and I absolutely love the input remapping mechanic. The ending is a little underwhelming when compared to how great the rest of the game is, but that doesn't take away from it!

Thank you!

I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for the kind words! They're really heartwarming to hear.

Thanks, Jack!

I'm stoked you liked the audio side of things, I am so proud about how that worked out.

And yeah, experiences like yours is one of the main things I had in mind while working on the game. Music can be complicated to get into, and find confidence in. So it was my hope for this to also be a safe stepping stone for anyone, musician or not. Admittedly the later days have a very big jump in difficulty at the moment due to the time pressure to finish the project, but yeah. That's the vision!

Also, seeing people really go for it and play the game while blindfolded is so amazing. Hell yeah. Let's cross the border from a game to an experience.

Your comment made my day, really. Thank you for the support! The best to you as well!

-- Kris

Thanks a lot! :D

Accessibility is one of the parts of game design we're most interested in, so I'm very glad you found it to be a highlight.

And yeah, out of the people I've seen play our game, none of them have managed to climb the steep learning curve. I wanted to showcase the full range of possible difficulties within the few levels we had time to make in two weeks, but we could have definitely handled it a bit better. We're definitely planning a much slower buildup and more learning support in later versions! :D

Thank you for the lovely comment!

It certainly is kind of an untreaded path, unfortunately, and it feels long overdue. Also, in a way it opens up ways for a fresh air in gaming for people with or without sight alike.

It certainly felt special to create, so I'm glad that carried through.

And thanks for the constructive criticism, that's really appreciated! I think Mymo once told me the currently second song was meant to be like the fifth one in the full release, hope that puts it into perspective.

Thank you so much! On the final day? Yes, -287 is pretty good for the first try! The learning curve is way too steep in the prototype, so I think most people will end up with negative scores :D

This is literally amazing! The interior kinda reminds me of EvoCreo..

I was looking for some free placeholder assets for a project and I'm very glad I found this gem!

(Also 5 hours? WHAT?!)
