double fuck, i now cannot extract the tomes i put into storage while they were on cooldown.

:clueless: Perma Blimp is quite broken It quite litteraly has no downside, its +1 min inflation but +2 max inflation, aka, you get a free +1 max inflation size and once you reach high Blimp levels you automaticaly become Blimp form, which uhh, added with 50 gold & Potion/Food results in infinite money/Aether, you eat food, immidietly become Blimp form, get a food item, sell the aether, repeat

in other news, i just realized i never got a potion from the perk mentioned, only food, and pretty sure starting skill still don't work :clueless:

for bossfights, considering that the Fox statue keeps giving you perma blimp and it has only +15 infl to body part, +21 spread across all or +30 spread across all, you just pick every perma blimp, pick the lowest inflation and either manage your growth with skills and items or pray you got enough

lastly, the beach is a great spot for early grind, you get inflation and money which you can then spend and go back to grinding the beach minigame

altough i reached the point where i don't need to do anything and still win :clueless:

great game though, love the switch to the 3d model

but holy fuck is the bubble witch character beatable, her last attack is such a spam i can only think of getting like a houndred slash rings to beat it

also i realized that somehow i had like 20 bubble stacks even though i never picked them up

the game *is* decent fun! I was just a little high strung waiting for the spook only for nothing to happen for 5 minutes lol

Honestly for keeping the player busy during the flight, I don’t have many ideas, Iron Lung has you stuck to the seat navigating because you can’t see and you’re in tight underwater corridors which is the polar opposite of open space, maybe still you could add meteors that you have to dodge and keep a watching? Also, maybe a decent addition would be allowing the player to spin the pilot chair around lol, maybe some task minigames for the player to do while in flight could be decent too

Okay so, small review, just finished Liquid Gold and only have the Special Delivery left
Second playthrough, first one on a previous version where i got stuck on Oxygen mission and I have to say, Not Much Has Happend. I understand this is still somewhat the tutorial-ish zone? on the first playthrough i had a couple of Flight Errors, two or so messages, and a bunch of systems broke and i had to fix, all that during only the first two tasks
Second playthrough? Oxygen machine had an error and then i got Locked in the middle of nowhere, i turned the console off/on, tried docking/undocking, reset the systems so i just reloaded the save and nothing like that happened afterwards so im unsure if that was a bug or an event i messed up, other than that i got 1 message and one Life system error and I haven't seen the Threat pop up once!
Speaking of the threat
While your inspirations for this game are VotV and Iron Lung, i hate to say but the flight loop is more similar to Fnaf.
Since there are no Threats outside, only Inside, what i essentially end up doing is set the course, full throttle, get out of the seat and watch the hallway with the Life Form Count in view and sit there untill the console pings that it's locked and ready to dock
It uh, isn't much fun, worse, I'm stuck feeling tense waiting for a spooky scary Threat to pop up in my face, and can only relax when I dock, where i can re-start playing Viscera Cleanup Detail (I had two 4 boxes tall piles before i found my first crate and could finally sell them)
I was orginally going to comment how VotV's biggest "thing" is that its 90% Calm Nothing and 10% Holy Shit & Hype Aura moments, but while writing I realized the bits while on a station & docked are the "Calm Nothing" part of this game, still, that ends up with like 30% Doing Calm Stuff on Station and 70% Waiting for my ship to travel to Point B while I watch the hallway for any Funny Business. While orginally it was fine, I did find the note about the Threat becoming more active after Liquid Gold mission, and I was waiting ready for it to jump out, but it didn't even appear on the Life Form Counter! To be honest, it did break once and after that it started flickering, but I just turned it off/on and it was fine both times with no Creatures on Board
Anyhow, I'll be taking a break here and do the Special Delivery tomorrow, pretty good game so far!

10 minutes in and i found out you can sell quest chips, except they don't get removed, infinite money glitch lol

i went to sleep at the solar station and now my screen is stuck on black :<

figured out the black screen (it was just a dream) but now im stuck on the ecologist station,  i think you know about this one already, the objective didn't complete after i made an oxygen tank and all the plants are quite buggy, seeds struggle to detect soil and the harvested plant keeps clipping through the pot on my ship, i also have no idea where i can craft lol

Nvm, apparently i didnt actually produce a tank, there were just 3 stored in the dispenser

what is there even to do? when i tried to explore i kept running into Work in Progress, only thing i could spend money was housing, all trades required me to trade in all my stats and couldn't use money

a nice simple game, altough i'm confused on what the levers do and i couldn't find a game end screen, i collected all the spells and flicked all the levers i found

a simple way would be to add stuff beyond „eat food” and „wait” button, cuz the gameplay devolves into spamming the first one untill you can’t and then you click the second one

Maybe having to do a job to earn money to earn food?

mostly because the big bad companies are taking it to the extreme instead of hiring workers and actual art designers, if it stayed as just a simple program people can use to throw up temporary stuff or just mock ups people probably wouldn't mind

very well made game even if it uses AI images, wish there was more rpg elements instead of only being able to decide where the character goes, but for what looks like your first game here, its great! love the gui/hud, story is well written and formatted
again, only thing i could ask for is for there to be more game to be able to actually play, as at a certain point you just spam click a button untill you either suddenly die or complete the mission (also lack of death penalty is both a plus and a minus, finnicky balance in that ngl)

this game using 98% of my cpu in the main menu, unholy memory leak, even dune awakening didn't use that much

how do you use party configuration or the attribute system? i've been killing mobs in the Haunted Ruins for 30 minutes now, getting 1000-2000 points before dying, Hero is at level 36 while the Girl is only at level 2, do i just have to complete the Continental Power Quest?

addendum: hero level 38, Girl level 3, the wolves are now dealing 24 damage and one shotting her.

also i think something broke and shows her last picture as the default one (huge tits and curves from the start)

attributes just broke (girl level 14), they just straight up stopped applying

okay, unequiping her armor and re-equiping it fixed

personally, i think adding more 'quests' (go out and kill mobs untill you're bored, pretty sure you can't actually find anything there yet) instead of the 1st quest scaling would be better, it just changes so little, no matter if you're 10 minutes or 2 hours into the game, you kill ghosts instantly, goblins take 2 turns, witches 3, while wolves can one shot the Girl if Hero is over leveled, i think this game fits more of a 0.1 version instead of a 1.0, unless everything is locked behind patreon :p

Have you ever considered a world map instead of random encounters? By world map I mean what certain text games have where you can move north/east/south/west and explore rooms/plots/squares placed on a grid.

I have replayed the games a couple of times, and while it’s well made, having to click „explore region” countless of times, basically gambling to either get the encounter I want or one I haven’t seen before, is Quite Annoying, specially when I’m looking for one tied to a quest (Plague Doc, Airship, even just finding the password for the metal crates).

It is why I bring up a world map. You could still have random encounters on blank plots, but you’d be able to find landmarks and return to them more easily, while also creating a more immersive world without having to go 3D. (Of course it would allow speedrunners to memorize what is where, but is that really a con? I’d prefer to learn the map of a game I like then having to cross my fingers and gamble (which you still would be able to do by just going in a circle in blank plots))

Of course that would require work, I have no idea how much or if it’s even compatible with the engine or if it would require a huge rewrite, or it just simply doesn’t vibe with you (I was wondering if the „randomly stumbling around” was simulating wandering in a dream world but like. c’mon.)

okay great, now i crashed when i tried opening upgrades and lost my items (the one in preservation slot)

ranking up isn't really explained, i only learned what it was once i ran into Milki and got the cursed ring rank up, before the game crashed when i lost and got home

okay so for mine i got 0-3, 0-5 and 1300, don't i just need to rotate the 0-5 notch 200 times to get 1200 and then the 0-3 to get 100?

also what the hell is ending A? what conditions do i gotta do

is 17.7 liters the max size? i cant seem to get more milk than that

two things:
1. will a map be possible to code? i think a visual representation of all the areas you found/unlocked and what's still 'hidden' would be quite usefull for the player experience
2. slightly ties in with point 1, is there a guide somewhere/recommended order of actions? whenever i pick up this game after waiting a couple of months for more updates i just endup exploring the same areas over and over waiting for a random encounter, just to ran into a "Work in progress" sign. i don't even know if the game is more developed in one direction or if you're streching yourself thin trying to develop everything everywhere at once

np! another thing that im unsure is/isnt a bug, i went with the divide option and have not figured out how to unlock the gate with what i think was a sword? and to fish out the object in the lake, i know there was a button next to the sword, i did press it, but i was unable to find any other buttons nor could i press it again once i found the last milk bottle, again, unsure how you were supposed to open that (1st thought i needed to find more buttons, 2nd that i needed to be heavier, none worked)
edit: small addendum, on my first playthru as i said i did the divide option and managed to do the apple shooting minigame without issue, but after reloading an old save trying to replay the game the girl got stuck as other comments mentioned, thought i'd give a bit more info about that bug as it seems to be unreliable

In the wack-a-clown minigame when the second ring of platforms falls i got stuck after they fell while i was standing ontop of it, i know they said "watch your feet" but there was no game over untill the clowns got to the apple
another thing, while all clowns having diffrent speeds is a smart move to make the "when" they come close to the apple random, its so very annoying when two of them get to the apple at the same time as there is no way for me to get both, specialy when there is only one ring left
that and me needing to go through all the dialouge every time i fail, a prompt to save after the dialouge but before a minigame would be nice

no need! My solution for them this save was throwing them into the furnace and then ignoring the banging on the doors

oh boy, I always thought they spawn outside the base and walk towards it (mostly because of the event that causes all of them to pile up near uniform, funnily enough that hasn’t happend on this save)

you misunderstand, I know they can walk, but please explain to me how did it get inside the server room if I checked it 2 minutes ago and it was empty, walking is one thing but teleporting through walls?
