Hey, sorry for the late reply but this is a great review!

I agree with most of your points of criticism. The minigames have some things to improve for sure.

The lack of consistent artstyle, depth, buildup etc are a result of a small time frame for just one guy. There was a lot of polish, dialogue and other elements I wanted to add, but I had to settle for a small scope.

Still, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the game!

Hope you like it!

Cute game! The main issue for me was the lack of progress between levels. They all felt too similar, and even changing the soundtrack brtween them and adding more obstacle types would've made a huge difference.

Good job!

Glad you liked it! Round 8 is intentionally very hard because once you get the hang of it you can easily win 6 and even 7 rounds. I'm sorry for the unlucky spins though T-T

Absolutely loved it! Gave it a very well deserved positive feedback.

Might be the most fun I've had in this jam. It's so simple but at the same time so addicting, and the pixel art is adorable. I only wish there were more active abilities like the shokwave.

Great job!

Done! I was struggling a little to understand the system and the interface on the computer felt a bit sluggish.

The visuals and sound are very well done and fit the idea well. With some polish it can be a solid full game :)

If you're willing to try out my game I'll really appreciate it!

Done! It's honestly pretty challenging. The catch timing doesn't always feel right but the levels are well designed.

Plug your game in a creative way!

I'll start with my game- You fight an orange cat

I'm not a fan of bayblade games, but this was very well made! It plays smooth and has a lot of polish.

I think it's only missing an option to rotate the camera (unless there is one and I haven't noticed).

It has a lot of potential for a bigger project. Great job!

For a very short game it was pretty fun and the story made me chuckle. The spin mechanic doesn't really show here but overall it was nice!

I really liked it! It was understandably short and I wish it was a bit more challenging. It has a lot of potential for a full game.

Good job!

All feedback is appreciated!

Thank you!

Appreciate the feedback!

And I've lost too many 7:1's in testing, I know the pain lol

One of the best games I've seen in the jam so far! the art and sound quality are fantastic.

I'm pretty sure that the first maze didn't have the contract the first time I tried it. I restarted the game out of confusion and then it was there.

This was so much fun to read! Highly appreciate the review :)

Depends on your vision. To me this jam was a break from a bigger project that was stuck on 95% completion. I was burned out from polish and sound design and I forgot the excitement of having a fun new idea, so this jam was what I needed.

Projects with growth potential are great but far more demanding. I prefer to go smaller at least for now.

The feedback for my project was mostly positive but I don't know about continuing development. I had a clear scope for something that will be enjoyable for 5-10 minutes and the potential for additional content isn't very high. It requires a game that's built with the intention to go bigger in the future.

Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Thank you!

Thank you for the detailed feedback!

About the boss fight, was there complete silence when you played it? It does have a sountrack and several other sounds in it.

It's fun and simple in the best way possible. The fact that you have to aim manually makes it more skill demanding, which honestly makes it better for me. It gives the vibe of Icy Tower and feels very smooth. Very well made!

Thank you so much!

As for the math minigame, I felt like it had to be somewhat hard since you have a 50% chance of guessing the correct answer even if you don't know it. Might tweak that in the future.

The game has great art and a very solid base. The only real problem I had is the lack of progress indication (enemies killed, exit direction etc). If the enemy variety is expanded and the maps are improved it can be really great. Overall very promising!

Is there a specific part that was too hard or all of it?

I don't know why you think it's bad, I really enjoyed it!

It's very minimalistic but done well and the spin mechanic make the course a lot of fun.

It really only needs a better menu and UI

The artstyle and player controls are very nice. I have some points for improvement:

1. The enemies are very sticky once they get near the player. If I try to jump over them they immediately jump too and stop me and it feels a little frustrating.

2. The gears the enemies drop refill both ammo and HP. For more depth, maybe separate it to one item for ammo and another for HP?

3. The sounds are a little repetitive which gets annoying pretty fast.

For its scope, not a bad game at all. Just needs some polish.

I'll start with the positive stuff- I think the core idea is great.  The settings and story you put the player in are more original than most gmes I've seen here, including my own.

I feel like the presentation matters a lot here, and that's the main drawback for me. You present the story in pop up windows which aren't very engaging to the player, and the destruction levels could use better sound design. Plus the controls of the tornado felt a little counterintuitive and I couldn't figure out how the boost works.

Overall there is a lot of potential with the idea, just needs some polish.

I love it! the artstyle had me engaged  from the start and it's designed very well.

My issue with it is that the wheel spins happen mid-fight and I think it would be better to make it either a mini event between enemies or just freeze the battle so I can focus my attention on the wheel.

A huge plus for me is the revive spin which gets harder the more you die.

Wow. The level of polish in this game is  incredible! The sound, art and UI design are all on point and there's a really cozy feel to it.  Plus the full voice acting takes it to another level.

The only downside is that the dialogue options you can bet on sometimes feel unrelated to the conversation, but it's completely understandable under a tight schedule.

Great stuff!
