Well, i'll be happy to help you with the game, no matter what engine you chose (i do have some experience with a bunch of different game engines like Game Maker, Ren'Py, Unity, Godot, and RPG Maker. (and good luck with the school/college. (i'm also 17 and i graduated already in 2025 :P))).

I'm curious on what game engine you want to use, especially for a Visual Novel, since most of them are made on Ren py and some on Unity, but seeing that you mentioned TCOAaL and Dead Plate, im guessing you want to use RPG Maker like they did, right?
