I'm curious on what game engine you want to use, especially for a Visual Novel, since most of them are made on Ren py and some on Unity, but seeing that you mentioned TCOAaL and Dead Plate, im guessing you want to use RPG Maker like they did, right?
I've heard that Ren'Py is pretty good for VN type games, but I honestly dunno anything about the actual VN format and what platforms are used to make them, like I said, I'm only the illustator and all I have is the characters and storyline idea. Since I'm not starting with making the game yet until I graduate, I'm still down to discuss which platform is best to be used. But if RPG Maker is what the Dead Plate and TCOAaL were made on, then yes, I'd like to try.
