I've heard that Ren'Py is pretty good for VN type games, but I honestly dunno anything about the actual VN format and what platforms are used to make them, like I said, I'm only the illustator and all I have is the characters and storyline idea. Since I'm not starting with making the game yet until I graduate, I'm still down to discuss which platform is best to be used. But if RPG Maker is what the Dead Plate and TCOAaL were made on, then yes, I'd like to try.

Hello, I'm atelierwilt. I'm a 17 year old artist with a big idea for a psychological horror/true crime/(kinda?) dark romance VN game. 

[VERY IMPORTANT NOTE] This is currently only a passion project. This work will most likely start off as unpaid, so if that's a turn off then don't let me waste your time by making you read through the rest. 

As I said, I'm an artist, so illustration comes easy to me, but neither I nor my friend/script writer have any experience in coding or game developing, ESPECIALLY not VN style, so I could really really use the help. We don't expect to begin immediately, as I'm busy with school, but I plan to start as soon as I graduate, so preparations are best set up from now. 

All the basic information that you need to know is going to be listed below. If you want more information or are interested in helping out, please don't hesitate to reach out. DM me on here. Now, as for the game:

Genre: psychological horror/true crime/dark romance (I don't mean the degenerate modern kind, I promise. Also it contains heavy queer elements, so if you're uncomfortable with that, just don't bother reaching out.) heavy inspiration from the VN games Dead Plate and TCOAaL.

Format: VN 

Scope: demo first is optional but goes a long way

The MCs (my OCs):

-Rowan "Bones" Marrow. 21 years old. College dropout, currently working as a butcher, secretly a serial cannibal. Depersonalizes and dissociates very often, and isn't in a great headspace a good 95% of the time.

-Sebastian "Will" Miller. 24 years old. Forensic science major working on his Master's degree. Followed this path in order to pick back up on the cold case of his brother's murder years after the police gave up on it. Has a lot of sociopathic tendencies.
