Thanks!

I think I'd enjoy developing and improving the game further

Thanks! I let the artist know too!

If/when I revisit the game feedback is on my list to add.

Thanks for the feedback!

It definitely needs more work!

Thanks so much!

Your initial thought was correct. The colored "goal" line back at the start appears after you've collected the groceries and run through the checkout area. I introduced a bug while fixing a bug at the end, and nothing happens when you pass through it.

Good game. Also enjoyed the alternate dialog as you keep playing!

Oof. I feel that. Had to cut so much, and I had a bug like that in the last five minutes too.

Really cute game. The music and sound choices were very good. Controls were tight. I really missed coyote time on some jumps though!

Had fun with this one! Even though I died and ran out of time a lot, traversal was pretty fun. The wall jump is particularly fun if finicky on short walls.

I also liked playing via controller, though menus were mouse only.

Nice full intro animation!

Kinda confused about what I'm supposed to do though. It seems like there isn't a downside to just waiting out each day, but I can't tell if there's any progress either

When testing Chrome, I had to click inside the game canvas thing to control it.

Note also, so far I have it working in Firefox 118 (64-bit) on Win 11
(though it locks for almost three seconds after the loading bar finishes)
and will update Firefox to check that next.

Hi! I appreciate you looking out. Thank you!

I checked that box five days ago though, and haven't seen that error in my browser since. I'll start testing in other browsers on my end and will see if I can troubleshoot.

Which browser are you using so I can test it specifically as well?

Jam Version known issues:

  • You can't really lose, I didn't add the timer. (I was gonna start testing the timer somewhere in the 1-3 minute range if you want to play along at home)
  • When you win, the camera will just blank out because I didn't add the win screen yet. I stand corrected, I also didn't attach the win state to the goal line. So when you've passed the goal line that only shows up after you've run through the checkout line and nothing happens you've won! Your screen will look something like this
  • Also, (non-breaking), the interface size is different between Firefox and Arc.

Are there any requirements? Like Kenney Jam for example requires only Kenney art assets

Also wondering if there's a theme to play with

Fun style, art, and music! The shapes of the items really helped to make it more interesting to play.

Cute and enjoyable! I hope to see similar gameplay again. Enjoyed the music as well

Saw your update. It's a shame it may be disqualified. Understandable, but unfortunate

Hey. Did you already find a team?

I can make code! Do you have an idea for this jam?

Honestly, debating on this jam since it's so open-ended for a 24-hour jam

    This is a cool concept!

Slight issue: so far I can't find a way for the first player to lose.

    Fun, and nice feedback!

    Pretty fun!

Has a couple bugs, but that's expected in a game jam.

This game made me happy and confused.

Cohesive visual and audio design. The speech bits are great.
