After 8+ years in development, I finally finished my 2nd game!

Carnage in Space: Crucible is a fast-paced, customizable, story-driven action-platformer I made in Construct 3 for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

The game features 3 heroes who meet on a frontier planet and are forced to work through their differences to save the day. For replay value, the story can be experienced from any of their three viewpoints - you'll notice a lot on your second playthrough that your character wasn't around to see the first time!

I've learned quite a bit since releasing my first game, and have done my best to apply everything I've learned to make the best, most compelling, most highly polished experience I'm capable of. I hope you like it.

Update: Ignition is now available for macOS!

Hello, itch.io!

I'm John Brink AKA MoscowModder - software engineer by day, hobbyist game developer by night. And this here is my creation:

Name: Carnage in Space: Ignition
What it is: A fast-paced, vicious, SNES-styled action platformer
Platform: Windows & Mac, plus HTML5 demo
Game Engine: Construct 2

    Story

This is Nightmare, a black ops agent for the IOTA Coalition - the galaxy-wide keepers of peace. When a civil war breaks out on the planet Appenna, the army's hands are tied - but Nightmare can handle the situation quickly, discretely, and lethally. But when he gets to the bottom of this mess, just what mad schemes will he find? What's really tearing Appenna apart from the inside?

   Features

  • Fast, precise, floaty platforming controls!
  • Hoards of enemies to dismantle!
  • Loads of unique weapons to try out!
  • Powerful bosses that will kill you. Like, a LOT.
  • An unhealthy amount of sarcasm and/or cynicism!
