You can edit the page!  Just not the build

Took a while to update!

The jam submissions can be ranked by any user - that way it's easier to identify what games are most popular in the community! It's important to remember that this does not mean that one game is better than the other - I'll make sure to try and play as many games as possible so I can have my feedback!

You can update yes! Just edit your itch.io submission to add a new zip or such!

Have you tried this one? https://discord.gg/c3jNNum

Most of the code has to be made within the 48h. You can use older systems that will speed up your development, I can imagine things like menu systems and scene transitions! :D

Don't worry about it! If you don't want to join all you need to do is not submit a game! :D

There's a dedicated channel on the Discord server for searching teams! You should check it out! :D

Absolutely! If you need any help looking for people to work with, check out the Mix and Jam discord server!

I would say the one key element to stay focused is to not put too much pressure upon yourself. I think it is normal that people want to have amazing results but we should all take care of our physical and mental health!

If you do manage to make a game (which is totally fine when you don't - afterall gamejams are great because you don't need to) you could also try to think of how cool it is to have a project that you made in 48h that you can showcase in your portfolio! :D

You should absolutely join if you can! Not only to pratice and learn but also to have fun! Game jams are perfect for experimenting!

The theme is always a surprise but it is fair to assume that the "vibe" of the channel will somehow affect the chosen theme!

The game itself should be made around the theme that will be announced as soon as the jam starts! Let me know if you have any other questions!

💀

Awesome! I'll let everyone know on the Discord Server!

Hey Neebzan - thanks for reaching out! After some discussion about this rule on Discord - We've decided that updates are only allowed after the voting period of the jam is over! Itch.io will automatically lock new submissions and only make them available again after the jam is really over!

Yes! Absolutely! Use whatever you have the most practice on! :D

Your concern makes sense! I will revisit the description on the rules to better define what would be considered offensive content!

No worries, thanks for asking this!
The idea behind the theme is that you'll use  a specific mechanic  as an inspiration for your  jam project.
But don't worry tho - all I can say is that there will be plenty of mechanic options!
Let me know what you think of this approach - in a certain way we all are inspired by mechanics from other games when building  the jam project.
Hopefully that can even help to give direction to those that are starting development / jams! :D
