Agreed, to be honest I do think while it isn't something people want to hear I think even being told a rough estimation on current update progress % would be healthy for the games community even if that number happens to be low. A low number would have people rattled for sure but just the people who scream the loudest like feral rats taking game dev for granted and think things get done in a week. I think its past the point of no return for this current update but for the next and final update for sure it should have clearer communication and be more freely talked about via the team. I'd take that over a definitive deadline and perhaps something where once a major milestone gets hit we get told something and celebrate about it. people do need to understand though that this isn't some major AAA studio and games of this quality and testing are few and far between. Waiting is fine and seeing the Dr work overtime in their reply's for years is beyond what we deserve for sure and they're a saint for that but I do feel honesty about progression is critical at calming the masses so they don't get vindictive when the game releases on steam. Again none of this is the teams fault and they are doing there best, a community is unpredictable and more often than not unappreciative. I just also hope for the last update things go a little more openly and the teams given more relaxed management to  oversee the updates marketing safely.

I think the concepts pretty great and I look forward to seeing how things flesh out as time goes on. While the story is nothing new the way you execute it is what matters and I really like how casual of a thing it was for her, she really did just want the money for it lol. Little things like that, how the characters accept this as a part of life, something so casual its accepted as normal, even  for people to say "oh yeah before I met my bf I was on the pregnancy program, yeah"

I think if you continue as you are you'll be alright and for any setting related improvements I'd just say to keep trying to make the setting feel lived in. In a world like this there would definitely be people very against it and very for it and people on the fence with constant advertisement in both directions. There would be scandals on social media, discrimination for being both on or off the program and people forgetting they're on the program all that fun world building stuff.

I adore this game a lot and I'm so excited to see how it continues to grow, I actually really like the new models for the characters and Sarah is my definite favourite. Good luck and keep up the good work. There's a few things with optimisation or progression I sometimes run into issues with but its very clear that with each update your progressing your craft and making it better piece by piece.

I have a pretty beefy pc and I also still get some problems with it turning my pc into a jet engine. I fear this game needs a bit of optimization for sure T_T

with a complete windows reset you're probs gonna need to replay the game from the start, your save datas is long gone.

Still workshopping a name because its so early in development but I really appreciate the interest thank you :) The temporary title is 'Yor's daily life' and its sort of a slow corrupting game where Yor from the anime spy x family (I love her so much) miss understands what being a good wife means and gets influenced by social media and her friends; finding happiness in being bolder. I'm thinking of making a rough game to make sure it exists first and then with updates I'll make it looks nicer. For example the main way to move Yor around is 2D room layouts but I'd like for it to be 2.5D in future. I'm a better artist than I am coder so it's taking its time but I'm learning. 

Right now I'm building a social media core system that lets players see their old "posts" Yor made, comments with names and profile pictures all that fun stuff. Similar to star maker there's like a main feed where random people who also use the social media in the universe post and I thought it'd be neat that Anna (I love her too I would kill for her) showed up randomly in the feed progressively showing more skin the more she shows up in the feed lol. Star makers a big inspiration and I've sunk so many hours into it so I'm more than happy to hide little easter eggs in my own projects. Plus she's hot.

while the game mechanics aren't changing the story is still temporary and could even get replaced by an original character instead of Yor at some point just using her to get the ball rolling.

Hello two related but very different questions. 

Firstly I wanted to ask if its cool to make Anna in my tomodachi life Island as well as fanart using the creative tools in it. I was going to last night but felt weird doing so without permission.

Second, I'm in the early stages of developing my own game and there's an in game social media website that acts sort of like Instagram without post restrictions. I was wondering if it'd be okay for me to have one of the random filler accounts who also post on that website to be a reference to star maker and more specifically Anna herself. During the course of the game in the background her social media account will be progressively sluttier for funzies.

Totally understand if not so its all good. I still love the game and looking forward to the next update :)

yeah rip, at the very least I've noticed on this update in particular that a bunch of the CG's and dialogue has changed so its not too bad. on the last update the progress bar for the game being finished was over half way so we have a lot to look forward to

The doctor for me in her hidden area is stuck saying the same dialogue over and over and I am now unable to buy the pills from her. I'm unsure if this is a bug or intended. looking forward to the B patch though

not too sure but are you starting from the very top first? each perk needs to be unlocked sequentially in order marked by the lines between them if you click and hold for long enough it plays a fail sound if you can't unlock it yet.

Using some of the upgrades on the Starmaker page can help a ton with gaining and sustaining followers. Some upgrades allow you to run ad campaigns etc that sort of act as buffs for your pictures which help with gaining a lot more subs and followers. 

You level up by taking pictures of Anna or doing certain events that gain exp and the exp bar is the pink line at the bottom of the screen. without spoilers you can reduce the follower loss at the end of weekends later with some story stuff.

For me I just kept grinding pictures each day at every possible location with the buffs until I hit 30k subs.

For Amelia you need to hangout with her for a run (you unlock the ability to run with her on Wednesday morning I think through normal progression), after the run you'll be back at home with Amelia in your room. Talk to her and ask her questions, there you will see an option to ask her to join the farm.

No worries at all, Life comes first. This new updates great :)

o7 you've been a legendary dev

10 months late but I figured out how to do that rainbow chest in the ice graffiti room. there's a place where you can make a fire block appear using the fire spray. you can then hit the fire block from the left side and have slide perfectly into the hole and allow you to crawl through to the rainbow chest. all that's in there is a small MP upgrade and a bunch of money.

For family camping the only reliable way I've found to trigger it is by closing and then reopening the game the day before. for some reason once you see the camping trip scene once it stops appearing until you close and re open the game in my experience.

really impressed with the new location and all the neat ideas that can come from it. looking forward to seeing how it goes.

was a pretty fun game, I really enjoyed how the videos changed depending on the outfit chosen. I also really appreciate the progression as it wasn't too fast and wasn't too slow. there were two errors I experienced, particularly with 'Rin Toshaka'. nothing too crazy or game breaking; more a visual error with the engine not loading the graphic/shader properly. 

overall a pretty neat casual game that I'm excited to keep following and seeing how it goes. I'm a total sucker for games with a lot of outfit swaps and characters. so I'm excited all round. keep up the good work and good luck with future updates.

also may I ask, are you using something like koikatsu for the 3d models? I've always been curious how people who make these types of games get their 3D models.

I really enjoy the writing in this game. I enjoyed each scene very much too!

I've been following for years and have kept this game pinned to my favourites tab to check in every now and then. there is a clear sign of personal progress from the last post to this one. I truly feel that working on another game was a smart decision. its lovely to see you back, stronger and better than ever. you've got this :D. can't wait to continue supporting and watching this project grow more and more.
