Cool idea! I think I got the Macguffium (it was the green bottle, right?)

I really like the atmosphere you set up. The color palette and music give this sense of urgent sleuthing. I think there's potential in the idea if you decide to build on it.

If you do decide to continue, here's just a few notes to consider:

Every time I tunneled it was in the direction I was walking. You could just make space do the tunneling. Or develop scenarios where the player has to walk one direction and then tunnel in another.

There are a lot of rooms to pass through and at some point I wasn't sure if I was making forward progress or back-tracking. Distinct landmarks every couple of rooms might help but I'm sure there are other ways you could solve that too.

Great job!

Hey SixteenByNein! I'm here as part of the Comment Pact Club! Looking forward to the next build of the game. :)

CPC here. I really enjoyed this experience. It's a novel idea and well executed for how short a time we had to work on it. The sound effects, ambient sound, and interface all blend together to make convincing experience without drawing attention to themselves individually (there was even a point when I had to mute the audio to check if the bird tweets were coming from outside or my speakers).

I played through it a few times with different scenarios in mind and I found it worked best when I was able to fill in the dialogue for the other person. The downside is it's difficult to fill in without knowing the possible responses. I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions, and you can decide if it's even worth addressing.

If you do decide to continue working on this, I would like it if past responses influenced the tone of future options. Either that or somehow find a way to display more response choices at once.

Overall very impressed. Great job!

The tutorial was super helpful. If you're planning to continue working on this, I wouldn't mind a casual mode with no timer. Solving these was a lot of fun!

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it.  Absolutely agree regarding the feedback. I had plans to do some particle and sound effects based for the replicant vs. regular objects but sadly they were cut for time.

If you do decide to give it another go, I'll tell you now that the replicant DOES take 3 hits before you win, it just bounces off to a different position. And if it manages to sneak off camera it will change its shape.

Thanks again and best of luck in the jam!

Thanks for playing! Good suggestion to skip with space instead of any key.
