Great game jam entry! The pixel art, music, and gameplay was really good. I like the challenge of keeping the pizza safe from the hungry monsters. Great job!

Hi Kuroonist, I appreciate you sharing the video. Wanted to let you know, that the snow level/cloud stage boss had the wrong variable, so that's why it didn't appear. I was working on that particular level the last day before submission. I ran out of time before the deadline. Once the game jam has ended, I'll fix the boss's variable, and upload the newer version.

Thank you for playing Project Arika!

Awesome, thanks for playing! I wanted to have upgrades that could have been purchased in the R & D Shop, but I ran out of time.  There is a short story at the beginning, but it's more about the events before the main character appears on the scene. I meant to include conversations between the main character and the NPCs, which would have added more to the story. I will definitely add this to a future version after the game jam.

Thank you for the awesome compliments.  I intended on having weapon upgrades that could have been purchased in the R & D Shop. But, sadly I ran out of time to implement it. One of the weapons was a Gatling upgrade, which would have shot continuously while the button was held down.

I had many more ideas I wish I could have added before the deadline.  Having a timer or progress bar is a great idea to add at a later date.

Hey Studio, the game is fun and challenging.  The intro was cool, it reminds me of classic games.  I really liked the music, it has a good retro feel and sound.  The controls are good and so are the weapons.  I would like to offer a couple of suggestions.  Instead of having the Gameplay Hud go off screen when the player or enemy gets close to it, perhaps you could have it go slightly transparent, where you can still see your health and the bosses health.  Also, on the bosses health bar, maybe add some color to the bosses current health so it will stand out, it's a bit hard to see how much health the boss has left.  Overall, great job!  Keep up the good work!
