The level editor is a bit obtuse and hasn’t been playtested, no-one to my knowledge  has actually made a level in it. If you do make levels though, feel free to share them in the discord server or on here, just press c to copy a level as a string to clipboard (you can also copy levels from the main game and paste strings as levels with v, in case you want to use them as reference). I’m excited to see what you end up making!

Me when I huff the wacky hexagon fumes that make you see colours that weren’t in the game previously:

Interesting concept but lacking the content to really back it up. I kept getting the same upgrades (shops where all three choices were the same upgrade, one that I had already picked) and I ended up with a lot of currency just sitting there without anything to spend it on.

It was fun to play and I got a perfect score after enough attempts, but there should really be a delay between the file getting to the destination and the next file spawning in, or a grace period where the file spawns in, doesn't move for half a second giving the player time to read the new saw layout, and then moves. Also, the ability to restart in the middle of the level would be nice since if I died once I was still forced to finish the level. Other than that though, you made a very well-polished 5-minute game.

Deltarot inspired GD clone, makes the player feel like they've just ingested a suitcase full of coke. Couldn't get far due to weird physics. Definitely one of the games of all time

Interesting idea, gameplay can be pretty jank at times, especially with the player getting stuck on walls, fun game all things considered

Ehh, I doubt the members are real. If it is a scam I wouldn't be surprised if all the "participants" are just bots. You can do whatever but I'd prefer to let it pass and put my energy towards my game development :P

That's interesting, I was actually thinking it might be too hard for new players.  How long did you survive?

I thought I was doing something wrong at first because the jump height was so low, but I got the hang of it and beat the game second try. Also, I didn't know I was supposed to go to the house after collecting all the fish but I figured it out quickly enough. Nice game.

I downloaded it and tried to play but there's no exe file. It might just be me but can you check to make sure the zip file you uploaded actually contains the game?

Very fun game. My only criticism is that you can't control the lights with the keyboard. It would've allowed for more fast paced decision making if the lights were controlled by 1234 or QEDA or something.

When it said "wait for your turn" I just stared at the screen for like 2 minutes because I thought it wasn't my turn :P

I really appreciate your comment, and I'll definitely be adding this game to any resumes or portfolios I make moving forward! If you do play more I'd love to hear how it goes and thanks again for your unique chain reaction puzzle game.

Not really a fan of rhythm games myself but how does this relate to the theme of Chain Reaction?

Very fun retro game! It felt really true to its arcade/NES style, the pixel effects and score screen in particular were amazing. The controls were a bit hard to get used to but it's understandable why they would be arranged like that.

Text based games aren't really my thing, but I can tell this one was highly polished and I appreciate how customisable it is. The text was hard to read at times, though.

Realising that you accidentally used ai images and then removing them last minute is the most gamedev thing ever. Anyway, I heard Balatro and clicked immediately, and you know what? I think the comparison is justified. The game was very polished and I really enjoyed playing it!

Very fun puzzle game with a lot of polish. The menus were kinda frustrating to navigate due to the transitions taking so long. The puzzles were intuitive and 17 short levels seems like the sweet-spot for a game jam game. Sucks there isn't a level editor though, I would've loved to post level codes in your comment section. Overall, I really enjoyed this game, which makes sense considering the kind of game I submitted :P

FYI, the game lags when many red bombs explode at the same time.

Really fun game, but it didn't take me long to figure out that the enemies spawned in waves and once I did I just waited for all of them to spawn before walking in circles until they all clumped together and then took out the entire wave with a single shot. Perhaps a different enemy spawning system that can't be exploited although I wouldn't know what to do considering enemy spawn amounts as a difficulty curve isn't as effective in a game where enemies can kill each other. The sound design was nice but the lack of music makes the sounds somewhat jarring. Overall, great prototype!

There doesn't seem to be a scoring system so I can't tell how far I got, but I got pretty far. Very fun game, perhaps a few more minigames would be nice but I loved going between the same tasks as they got faster.

"3 begin buttons? Guess I'll just press the last one" beats the game in 10 seconds

Also, I joked to myself that the intro cutscene looked like they were made in the Scratch sprite editor and then when gameplay started I realised it was made in Scratch :0

Very interesting idea, but it can be hard to tell where things are most of the time (jumping down to the next credit is a roll of the dice as to whether you land on a letter or not). Also, the platforming is kinda floaty which makes landing accurately harder.

Had lot's of fun opening and closing the cabinets, however... I couldn't turn on the sinks or turn on the stove. 9/10 game, could use more interactable objects.

I survived 13 days my first time. Didn't really know what was going on and at what scale but it looked nice and could probably be a really good game if given a tutorial and better player feedback for actions.

I made a simple update to fix two bugs that most players would never see/notice/care about and when I uploaded the file it replaced the original :/

It's a very small thing but I feel like people would question a file uploaded after the submission time so uhhh that's what happened. Oops, I guess! Also I haven't been available until now to play other people's games so I'm excited to finally be able to rate them!

I made the final 2 levels really late in development so I didn’t have a chance to playtest them. My bad lol

You have to go back and use the jump-boost power up you got at the end of the level to reach the one in the middle of the level and then you can jump high enough to get to the end. Each jump boost power up allows you to jump 1 block higher ;)

Pretty cool game! I liked that I couldn't just go in and kill everyone, I had to analyse how the enemies move and plan out some form of strategy before heading in for the kill.

I have no idea what's going on, all I know is Miku thinks I'm a loser.

I have no idea what I just played, but I think I reached the end. the game appears to be made in Scratch with music that sounds like it was made in Bosca Ceoil. Also, massive respect for this game being second if you sort by highest karma.

Interesting idea, although I felt like it was a bit too grindy for a game jam game.

Got stuck on the push box level. Couldn't push the boxes. Could clip into the walls though, so that's nice!

I dunno what's going on, but I like how the kitchen looks.

The movement is very finicky. It's not buggy, it's just that my brain kept swapping from "press this arrow to move this direction" and "oh, I get it, press the left and right arrows to change direction and press the up arrow to move in that direction."

Gameplay was interesting. The graphics and fire mechanic are good but there wasn't really anything to do. A good game nonetheless!

I assume this was made in Scratch. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
