You get my E of approval!

Took me a while to understand what the tutorial text actually meant, but I eventually got it. Overall, I feel like a better character controller and tutorial would make this a really fun game!

Fun game. Once I figured out what I was supposed to do it was good but it would be better if the game started out a bit slower so players can get into the groove before they're bombarded with items to sort.

I'm sorry, I just couldn't figure out the game. It feels like I'm missing a crucial detail like a button that makes you go faster but trying to figure it out just makes me frustrated.

Lots of fun zooming around real fast and drifting pat the enemy bullets. The switching mechanic took some getting used to but overall a really enjoyable game!

Glad you enjoyed the game, I was definitely going for a more atmospheric experience this time! Also, the layers element of the maze comes in when you start climbing the ladders and traversing the different layers of the maze.

Spoopy game :>

Amazing game! The menus could use more work as the game doesn't properly explained. or complete without good menus. The addition of a level editor is something I can appreciate (my UGJ89 submission had one), although the lack of direction means using it can be painful. Overall, great game!

It really has the potential to be a fun game, but the gameplay really is the weakest link. A better player controller would make a big difference. Also, am I the only one who experienced lag?

I really liked the layer switching mechanic, although the "figure it out yourself" nature of it was frustrating, at least until I memorised all the layers. It's a nice short game, what more is there to say :D

Try to beat my high score of $3077!

My high score is 3077, is that good?

Fun game! Dunno how it fits the theme but I enjoyed playing it!

Wow, just wow. The idea is amazing! A proper tutorial/explanation and support for arrow keys would be nice but you still made a really good game!

I don't really understand how this uses the theme of "layers", but themes can be interpreted. The gameplay was a bit buggy and piece rotation didn't work properly but other than that it's a passable Tetris clone.

Really fun game that just oozes personality! Loved replaying it to read all of the text!

There is an end goal you can find somewhere in the maze, but gameplay-wise there isn't much to do other than explore. I mostly just wanted to experiment with a more atmospheric sorta game with the unique graphics, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Playtesters taking a while to get how the compass rotates worried me a little, but as you said, once it clicks, the game really opens up! Glad you liked the audio, the sfx work was more ambitious than any of my previous projects, and I always make the music for my games (the OST is linked in the game's page... and here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoeLq4Ux3TxLtWorEpIeAGS4IAWPRZ1aZ). Thanks for playing!

It's certainly challenging! Great audio/visual design :D

I’m glad you enjoyed the puzzles! I was worried the main mechanic of changing gravity might be a high barrier for entry, but it seems like people get it. And once you get it, the game really opens up ^w^

Thanks for the review, I’m glad you thought it was polished! The last game jam I participated in was Ludum Dare which has a much stricter deadline, so I’m used to working really hard in a short amount of time to make something I’m proud of. This game really was a step up from my previous game jam game, and the extra time really helped! I explained how I interpreted the theme in the game’s description if you’re interested.

Probably the most unique game here! The calm horror-like atmosphere and deep text-based storytelling was a breath of fresh air. Anyway, I told him my name was Bitch and it helped lighten the mood XD

Fun quirky game, but the platforming could use some tweaking. Love the art!

Wow, the audio and visuals on this are just wow

Couldn't get past level 2, unfortunately.

5 minutes and 36 deaths to my name later, and I'd say this is a pretty good game!

Fun game with an admittedly creative interpretation of the theme, although it took a few seconds of wandering around aimlessly before I understood what I was supposed to do. Maybe a short piece of text at the start saying something like "You are Death, and you need to be useful by fixing broken tech" would've helped.

Just discovered your game and found it interesting. Also, that is a WONDERFUL diagram!

Hot tip: add a feature to hide UI elements for cleaner looking screenshots.

As a fellow mediocre game dev I can give you some advice. I didn't try out the game because the minimum price is over $0, I know $0.07 isn't a lot of money but it's still spending money on a game which might not be worth spending money on (no offence).  itch.io has a feature where you can make a game free but have an option for the players to donate when they download the game. I would recommend using that for your games so your players can "chec kit out", especially for a "mediocre" game.

I hope you get something positive out of this and I wish you the best in your game development adventures.

Edit: fixed first sentance (used to be "a fellow game mediocre dev")

How do I edit the post?

Edit: I added the required screenshots as their own post
