Looks great, and looks fun to play!

This game is too good to not have a cover image!

There are some interesting ideas here, but the game is kind of a mess. First, why is it two jpegs? It makes it weirdly complicated to deal with. Consider making it a PDF for ease of use. I also feel like the rules have some gaps in them. Like, what could happen while exploring, why wouldn't any one sleep, or why would any one take the unfortunate class.

There's a fun idea here that I think you could drill down on, and I'm exited to see where you go with it.

I love the idea of a game that is meant to be slotted into another game, I'm going to use it the next time I run a session.  I've also used the painting from your cover for TTRPG.

This is such a neat idea, but I can't quite picture how a session would go.  If you get a chance, some GM help might be nice.

Great cover image too!

1. Hi, my name is Alex

2. I thought I entered the jam in the past, but apparently I never have.

3.  Right now I'm inspired by gooey horror, and silly card games

4. Right now I'm imagining a game about plants driven by cards, but we'll see what brews up.

Are we allowed to submit more than one game? Because I had the stupidest idea, but might not want to be limited to that.

I liked it the first time you used the phrase "creative resources" in the story, the second time was a bit much.

It's usually a bad idea to use the phrase "hard to put into words" in your writing.

just a heads up

thanks, that was the goal! The system (24xx) is supposed to be an all in one sort of deal, source book and adventure in 4 pages.

Thanks for the review! I'll update those issues.

Basically what the title says. I had an idea that I liked, but lost time to other projects. I hope it's OK that I submitted it in its rough shape.

the trenches are on either side. The Italians have a 1 square deep trench on the left, and the Austrians have a 3 square deep trench on the right. This is indicated by a dashed line. The two A squares are where Artillery is placed, and the A6^, A5^ and A4^ are on the board to indicate Artillery fire zones. These are between the trenches, and separated by red lines. To hit with Artillery, you need to roll a D6 at the number listed in the zone or above, so close to the Italian trench, the austrian Artillery hits on a 6 or up. Near their own trench they hit on a 4 or up.

Hope that clears things up, and thanks for downloading!

yeah, that was poorly worded. I was calling a round when the Australian player got all their troops off the board, but given normal board game terminology I'll change that.

No worries, what are the odd's that two games referenced an obscure Adriatic city

Because it's a fairly simplified system, there's no mechanism for taking pow's. I'm working on expanding the system a little, and that will use lost tokens as a "reserve", but right now there are no pow's. Also the game predates Yugoslavia, which I only say because there were two games in the jam with Trieste in the title, and the other game might have unclear rules about Yugoslavia's POW's.

Adorable in the best way

A new 24XX hack, second in the series the valley is the world. Guide people though the ancient forests in the west of the valley, but keep an eye open for dangers and secrets.

I've added some community copies. If you play it, please review it, positive or negative.

The Valley is the World is a 24XX hack set in a remote medieval city in a swamp. At the edge of the world, there's always jobs to be done and the swamp is filled with mystery.  Just be careful in the swamp, it's full of danger.

You and the party are trying to get to the top of Snow Day Mountain. It won't be easy though,  you must get past a series of battlefields held by other kids. Can you sneak and dazzle your way to the top? Or will the bonds between you fail?

The cover image uses the painting Woods in Winter by Charles Warren Eaton. It's in the public domain, and available for download from the National Gallery of Art.

Hyjinks is a ttrpg where several people try to get a mcguffin, while navigating a 1920's madcap comedy. Roll well to get what you want, roll terrible to get what you want via pratfall.
