I did not! But I'll check it out. Thanks for reaching out! :))

I am very very curious. Hope you keep us updated on it! Is there any other platform you are more active on for your development (maybe not the 100th discord server)? I smell potential and I definitely want to follow the journey :)
Compared to the average replies on itch you were incredibly fast ;)
Thanks for your permission! :)
I hope I don't crush any hopes by saying that it will probably take a bit to complete. At the moment I have two other things scheduled that I need to tackle before diving deep into your story. Secondly, I don't want to rush it out either way, I prefer a result to be proud of :) You probably want to hear back from me once I am done with it, should I reply back here or rather send a mail? Or Twitter? Whatever is comfortable for you. Just let me know the easiest way to catch you in case I have questions :)
You have provided us with this outstandingly well-structured source text, may I localize or translate it to German?
Ofc free for you to use if you'd like to.
The story reads smoothly and I can already read it to myself in German as well :)
Your story goes beyond game jam levels, it's worth building up on it imho. I enjoyed it!
To say I like it would be an understatement. I’m absolutely certain that you will continue to make very, very good games.
Absolutely, you can have my email and my Twitter, whichever is more convenient for you, as I check both several times a day.
Email: jennifer.rosebrock@gmx.de or Twitter
I’m also happy to give out my Discord, but not in public comments (:
I love your way of describing things. You understood the 'show, don't tell' principle very well and I am inhaling every word of yours. Interactive Fiction in general is an amazing genre, I tend to like parser IF, but I am sold on your writing whatsoever! If localizing your story ever crosses your mind, please consider me for German! I'd love to bring your story to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, … … …
♥
Schedule Update :)
I finished Sinister, Don't find me, and The Hole in June. As of now, I am helping out as LQA Tester for Harvest Island but as this is being done in sessions, I would like to explore new games or maybe even new genres.
Happy to hear from you soon!
Best contact is still mail: jennifer.rosebrock@gmx.de or Twitter :)
I have played the games way too many times now and I still have so many questions that I hope to find answers to in your upcoming game! ♥
Gameplay-wise. The Art Style is one of a kind! It's unique, consistent, and very atmospheric. The Audio work is great and this man sure understands how to build up tension! The Prologue is a fabulous teaser and I want to find out what this is all about!
Can't wait for the full story someday!
Hey there Gamers and Gamedevs!
Wholesome Direct helped spread the word about my friend's App (Clover-fi's Window Garden) and many new people (we just hit 50k downloads!) from all over the world are flooding in.
If you would like to help translate ~3000 English or ~4000 German words into Korean or Japanese (a translation has been started and abandoned by someone else before) please reach out to:
cloverfigames@gmail.com ,
comment here directly, or join the official Window Garden Discord to talk to Mila (the lovely dev) directly!
discord.gg/y94Bqw9S
Credits and Portfolio links will be given in the game and the discord translator role will be given out to all volunteers on the Server.
It's a Lo-Fi Idle Plant game :)
You can reach out to me in DE or EN, to Mila (email) in EN and PH!
PS: If you are a game dev yourself we can offer help with localization to DE and eventually PH in return.
Hear you soon!
Best,
Jen̄
Hallo world,
My name is Jen, I am from Lower Saxony, Germany. I speak High German, dialect-free and have ~ 20 years of experience in English.
I am currently the German Translator for Window Garden - A Lo-Fi Idle Game and responsible for the full in-game text localization, including the tutorial, Seasonal Event Updates, Marketing Materials, UI, and basically anything related to German and Clover-Fi Games!
Translating is not my job but a huge hobby, so I am eager to fill some of my free time between updates with new, inspiring projects. Occasionally, I participate in r/translator and translate WWII and historical content from German into English or transcribe from Sütterlin, Offenbacher, Kurrent, and Fraktur. I was lucky enough to meet an amazing author there and collaborate on translating ~250 pages of real post-war correspondence between a German aspiring medical student and an American veteran. The book will be out in August, but a preview translation of one of the letters can be viewed here.
But that’s just not the same as working on a game! Bringing stories to life and seeing real people engage with the content you have made accessible in a relaxed and natural way is just too satisfying not to offer my help for FREE - which still means credits and mentions, which I will also grant you as I did with all other Games in the past.
This ‘help’ also includes proofreading, making sure your previous translator did not use machine translation and many other things I may not even think of. I am open to trying new things and new genres, but there are
Two Themes I will not translate: NSFW and furries. Really sorry ♥
I have experience translating visual novels, platformers, idle games, adventure games, ‘soft’ horror games, and real-world historical content. If I were ever to make a wish about what to work on next, my answer would be 'A Zork-like*!
Please browse around my Portfolio and feel free to also check out my Twitter or my Itch Profile to see what I am up to, what kind of games and genres I enjoy and to get a look at some of my work on other itch and steam games!
Software and Platforms I am already familiar with: GitHub, Crowdin, Notepad/Wordpad, OpenOffice, NoteEditor, XLS Edit, Google Docs/Google Sheets, VS Code, Word/Excel… phew, what else is there? I don’t know, but please feel free to challenge me to adapt to new software. :)
In case you are interested feel free to reach out on a platform of your liking.
Send a mail to: jennifer.rosebrock@gmx.de

I hope to find a person as excited about putting out great content together as I am!
Heya Nicolás!
Since you got me hooked on The Watcher, you can’t stop me from comparing the two as they are similar in mechanics and controls. The first difference I noticed is the improvement in text control. I really enjoy the text continuing step by step (which allows me to read at a natural pace), instead of having a refreshing text box presenting typewriter animation or a simple text block. The movement seems to be a ‘never change a running system’, so I will be sure to pay extra attention to wall collision/pathing this time and will make an edit to this post if I run into any problems later! ;)
I love almost everything about it. There is something about the Chat replys thats odd, but I can't tell what it is. Even tho the chat gives this natural feel, it feels a bit unnatural, as I don't feel like the individuals have any differences in style, language or wording.
^ I felt the comment section also needed some critical critics :D
Anyways. I love everything about the idea. I felt draged right into the setting without even knowing whats up at the start. The game started and I was 100% sold on it.
From my experience coming up with the idea is the hardest part about all game-making and you did so incredibly well with this concept, without moving away from the classic parser mechanic.
You, my dear internet stranger, made me really happy today with this game :)
Thanks for putting it up here :) I need more!

Your reply reminded me of your amazing style so I couldn't resist browsing through it again. Did you do all the art by yourself? It looks stunning!
Just that sidebar freaks me, but I get that many people like it.
It's noticeable that you are a writer for sure. There are tons of games out here on Itch which may be written in the best and cleanest code, but without words to them, the code does not mean much.
Code is something one can learn, but creativity - that's something I envy you for!!
The link does work, but Amazon is denying access, no matter how I try to open it :s
Just in case: it should be the same for Harlow and Sugarcube as it's Java. figured this works best but there are 2-3 other ways if you prefer to do it with CSS
/* Destroy Sidebar - Start */
$('#ui-bar').remove();
$(document.head).find('#style-ui-bar').remove();
/* Destroy Sidebar - Ende */
Or just leave it there :)
Looking forward to your next games! Really, I adore this rare genre ♥
How long did you work on all this in days or weeks?
I am back ♥
I don't need to tell you that I really enjoy the game, else I would probably not play it twice, so let's hop to the 'bugs'.
(1) A thing I notice often, but sadly I can't tell you what is causing it: New passages start at the bottom and the player needs to scroll up to continue reading
[2] Quite irritating, not a bug though: It took me a bit to get used to selecting an option twice. (1 click causes option 2 to disappear and another click will reveal the new text]
I am getting the point of it, but still, I keep eye-rolling about it because I expect the flow to keep... flowin' ~.~
I don't even have anything else to be picky about. Maybe if I really wanted to: I wouldn’t need to use the scrollbar at all. Whenever I click, it pulls my attention away from the text with its animation. I’m not quite sure if the scrollbar is necessary if you can scroll with the mouse wheel intuitively. Another tiny visual thing: The 'real-time' text messages, which are also triggered by clicking, could, in my opinion, use a tiny bit of polishing, a slide-up animation, idk. It doesn't feel as text-chatty as it looks.
Probably sounds like a terrible review, but it's sure not meant as such! Considering the time you had given: great! ♥
The audio work is stunning! From the small beeps to the 'cutscenes', enjoyed it very much.
Very cool to see that you are still making games.
Your progress is noticeable! :)

I can't judge before finishing it completely, but I am amazed by the UI design already. The text boxes are giving me vibes I can't find words for yet, but it's reaaaally well done!!
Doesn't happen too often that a screenshot makes me think: "hell, this looks expensive". Even tho the screen is very busy, it's not distracting from the story itself.
So much to that!
I will either update or re-comment once I am done, but not today :)
From my very first glance at the game a very well-done job!!

Sadly and finally (o.o) I finished my first run and I love the male voice. The female is also great ofc, but when I heard the first line from Atsuo I sat back in my chair going "Who the hell is this O.O" out loud.
I wish it was completely voiced. Amazing talent.
You know what I think about your writing already, great as always, but this time, huge props to ya boi Anthony! Does he have an itch account, I don't have Twitter, so I can't follow him and his projects :)
I am not quite sure if I just imagined that there was a tiny error with the first fading transition. It looked as if some black box with text is behind the box that was supposed to fade in. (As if there was a layer in between the 2 screens)

Aw what a shame, I was hoping for a hint on why twine is not quite doing what I expect it to do. But by now I feel like I am getting close to what I want, eventually:'D
Actually, I am browsing text-based and interactives every day and check the very newest releases. I love to see a game evolve over time and enjoy seeing progress in the developer's work!
I have always admired this kind of games :') The command parser is such an underrated feature!
I hope you keep working on stuff like this in the future :)

I need to spend much more time on this to fill out your detailed form, but I can tell from my first sneaky peak that we have another game of potential here!
I am excited to continue in a very bit!
Did you already consider Localizations when you were setting up the code?
Best,
Jen ♥
ᴇɴ(っ◔◡◔)っᴰᴱ
Oh baby, another very rare piece of interactive fiction controlled by commands!! I am LOVING it already, without being done with it yet.
Is that made with twine? I've tried to set up a similar system but need to look into it more thoughtfully I guess. However, the very first image the player gets to see has a tiny dark font on a grey background image, which I tbh didn't bother to read because it looked just like a mistake in itself - no offense!! But please look into that one :)
Will update my post in case I run into any bugs and give your idea more thought!
Thanks for approaching this genre! :')

Thank you for reminding me of my ancient age :') I just got reminded of doodle jump - most of the people out here probably have just been born when we played that on our not-so-smart phones.
That style is fancy! :)

I'd love to see where this artist will go in case you guys start to collab :o
I am getting some neat vibes from that background scratch - let's ignore our white, armless friend for a second.
Mission accomplished, A simple scene had been coded!
I love the transition from inside to outside view, there are quite a few games that really benefit from this method. Again, loving the artist :)
Not sure what you guys are up to, but if you are giving localizations a thought in the future, please think about me when it comes to German :)
Can I now request you to give me something stupid to interact with, so I can keep myself busy by triggering an environmental interaction infinitely until I see where this leads to! :)

I love the feel of the controls!! Despite its simple look, I can see this being a great game to consume more time than wanted on! :o
Hope you continue on those quality mechanics rather than adding more and more as fast as possible.
I am setting a lot of hope in promising survival games and they keep being repetitive and getting abandoned; you seem to be creating something you really like yourself.
That’s awesome and inspiring!

I can see this cute cat in a survival craft environment building its own cat treehouse by collecting wood and such. not sure why but that one inspires me.
I adore the animations for the cat!!! ♥.ö
