Great. Thanks! Looking forward to have a Neo Geo MVS Version in my hands to test it on the Backbit Cartridge.

System is a A1200 PiStorm 32, Pi 4b, Amiga OS 3.2.3, Emu68 V 1.07, Videocore 1.4.
Performance:
QuickRace 640x360 distance 150 -> 38fps; distance 300 -> 37fps
QuickRace 480x270 distance 150 -> 50fps; distance 300 -> 47fps
Interesting that different distance restrict the fps not that much. So i go with 300 :-)
Improvement: Sometimes I drive really badly :-) It would be nice to have a button you could press to get back on track. For example, the “B” button. Right now, the only option is to press ESC and start new.
Thank you so much for this fantastic, dedicated development for the Amiga. We really need a modern racing game. It works right out of the box, even at this early stage. You can tell it’s not just a PC port that’s throwing around hundreds of megabytes ;-) It runs absolutely smoothly on my PiStorm32 with a Pi4b. Even with a view distance of 200, at the currently highest resolution, I still get 39 fps. I’m really looking forward to seeing how it develops. Is there a way to contribute to a coffee fund? :-)
I played with my daughter today (she’s a very experienced Bubble Bobble and Quak player). Here’s some of her suggestions.
- An enemy that has been hit should return after a certain amount of time (if you don’t jump on it) and then move faster through the level, making it harder to hit.
- Once the level is completed, a level exit should randomly pop up somewhere that both players still have to run through. It makes it more exciting because of the time limit.
- A health bar for the bosses so you can see when it’s about to die.
- New music in Level 2 because the music from Virgill is so great :-)
For me, the game of the year 2024. It was worth to give even more than the actual special price. The isometric graphics are fantastic. The music is great (why is there a menu item to switch it off ;-) ?) The gameplay is addictive. I only wanted to play it briefly and got stuck for 2 hours. Everything looks very polished, as if it were a game from the best Amiga days. Works fine on real machine under 060 and OS 3.2. Does it make sense to maybe add a highscore list with level reached, points, number of kills, and maybe with a playtime timer in the background? Otherwise I hope the Amiga will see more games from BadgerPunch. Thanks for bringing it to the Amiga. Its really a highlight!!!
Long awaited and it is great! Thanks for that jewel. I like the fast gameplay and that it is not too easy as many other „casual“ games. The music is phenomenal. There are only two things i miss. Scrolling at the Amiga and to have an option „Joystick up“ gameplay. Iam from the old days and fire button to jump is not so easy for me ;-)
Works fine on real A1200 030 50Mhz OS 3.2.2.1. As mentioned elsewhere i have also a continuous spinning floppy. And a bug. I think it is one. In every first room of each lvl if you go to the very left corner and try to get outside you are transfered to the right site above with a flickering sprite and the comment „Blocked!“.
