I originally made it as HTML game, but the shaders ended up pushing too hard and the browser could not run it =( sorry about that

Yep! This is the 5th game with the same group of characters =]
In case you want to play them you can check on my profile, they should be played in this order for best experience:
- Warthunder Type H
- Access H7
- Mechtobacillus
- Dustblast - incomplete :(
- The Research Samples (this one)
With the exception of Access H7, they are in reverse chronological order, so each game is a flashback further back in the past (confusing I know)
Damn! That is a bug haha I should have disabled the death for the player as there is no UI showing your life.
The ship shows up around midway vertically, in the side opposed to where you are when you get the message telling to go back to ship. It has an icon in the minimap when you get close
If you want to try again, use Ctrl+F1 cheatcode for super-speed so you can speedrun it and see the final cutscene (which is relevant)
(I get the samples and place the scanners in less than one minute doing that =p)
It was purely for a game jam. When I made it my idea was to perhaps continue it afterwards, but the networking implemented inside of it is so janky and poorly done (with bad results) I don’t think it’s worth continuing it as is. I could perhaps redo it in the future with a different networking code…
But thanks!
you can press E two times to skip. First time shows text at once, second time skips. If it doesnt work its a bug. sorry if it ended up being too hard. One thing you can do is in the middle of a fight you can go back the door and use percival to regen your hearts and go back to fight. Enemies dont regenerate.
It was supposed to be her embarrassed for being so self-obsessed she actually has collectibles of herself (akin to a king ordering busts of himself to decorate his own room). I’m sorry it ended up sounding otherwise. I know my intonation didn’t help, but, uh…that is actually how I talk…
the game is an endless survival so there is no win, only lose. You see your score when you lose. I could have added counters on the wrists, it would help
Xandruher is the one to blame for it being beautiful, as they made the models =P
I didn’t have time to dim the buttons when you run out of mana (your mana is shown on the bottle on top left side) so that was the reason the buttons didn’t work - you just didn’t have enough mana
I thought about the witch laughing and making remarks, but didn’t have a voice actress :(
Thanks for playing!
Thanks a lot!
About the large empty scenario, the idea was to fill it with objects so you would be travelling through interesting places and NPCs all that way. A bit like how in Assassin’s Creed sometimes you have to walk aaaaaall the city to get to where you want, but because there is a lot of buildings and people, it doesn’t feel boring. That was the idea. But I ran out of time and could not add the objects =(
Thanks!
The bigger world thing is because this is already the 4th game in Stephanie’s universe, the other 3 were also jam games. They are explained in the game page ( https://madparrot.itch.io/dustblast-gwj60 )
