Hey all! Announcing a demo of my first serious foray into game dev - Flip is a 2D puzzle platformer inspired by two of my favourite puzzle games: Kula World and Portal. This is a 21-level early access demo to hopefully build a little groundswell before full release. I plan to publish regular dev blogs on its progress as well, so if this looks like your thing please give it a try!

Hey all, I've been chipping away at an idea in my spare time that is inspired from two of my favourite puzzle games. Flipp (working name) is a 2D puzzle platformer that takes the gravity-shifting labyrinth mechanics of Kula World/Roll Away and meshes it with the aesthetics of Portal. It is a browser native game written is pure JS(TS)/CSS/HTML partly because it is my area of expertise but also I plan to allow custom level sharing through a GUI level editor. The core gameplay is demonstrated in this early prototype https://flipp-proto.vercel.app/, you control a little alien creature that shifts gravity through "test-chamber-like" levels. If you are familiar with Kula World I plan to incorporate a lot of mechanics from that game as the levels progress (spikes, crumbling blocks, sliding blocks, fire blocks, switches, lasers, teleporters etc etc). I don't intend to make any money from this but I do intend to create a polished complete game that people _might_ pay money for, and if that were the case you'd also get a share in that. I'm primarily looking for anyone who can make SFX and/or BGM, the style of which isn't super fixed so this is an opportunity to show your own talent, but I'm imagining along the lines of whimsical/upbeat/catchy/techno sounding. I can handle coding/art myself but if anyone is a talented vector artist and is interested I won't say no!

NOTE: If you're playing the demo, left-right arrow keys for movement, up for jump, shift for invert and drop, alt for zoom out and pan.
