Sorry i didn't mean it as   not choice matter, just not character trait choice matter, i mean  the mc will have a different story, yes ... but it wont change his stats in a complex math equation, it will affect the story"line" with a somewhat change to his stat on a pre-calculated storyline, when i speak about choice matter i should mention an other exp, last time i mention starwars old republic, but didn't mention the depthness of the answer, action you can take, let speak about "mass effect",  the first game was giving you point according to  4 type of answer , logic, joke, negative and  "depending on your class" type choice, any answer that take player in more simulation and engagement, "to a certain degree"was  raising his/her affinity with other teammates.

I thought of that kind of choice matter when you spoke about interest, but again, make a choice matter more linear is not  a bad thing, for a person that develop everything on his own ,  is actually a logical way to deal with a lot of problem. But i would put a more appropriate exp to define your game than a choice matter.

If i have to define it with a more detailed definition, first of all let not compare apple with orange, your game is a "visual novel" and with that in mind if i had to compare your game with something that is also a choice matter i would opt for those book that we use to have back in the day  book where you are the hero, but gotta read with a 6 side dice  or 2, and jump to the "next page" depending on your choice...

So yes it is a choice Matter game just not the type i was expecting from this genre of story,  a story btw that is "crazy" and   refreshing, a mirror of what i would like to see from a "real life stupid live show  " without saying my thought, let just say im aint a fan  of reality show.

And again it just my point of view, your game is still a game, i'm anxious to see evolving, to reach his end, on a personal note, if you're choice matter is not the best on the market, with all his complexity, you got a lot to offer to compensate, so don't take it to harsh on yourself. 

If i didn't like your game, i would not take the same time you take to chichat.

But let put that subject aside , i think we  turn around that  question for way too long..and i'm pretty sure you got better thing to do...

Well it my Rpg complex choice matter profile, sry, so in other word you got a pretty linear story with some major choice, the reason i put that 72, is if you went into the idea of a player that want to hit on a certain toon instead of a other, after trying the normal mode, i got that there 4 team of 5  character, total which is 20 possible person to have fun with, now i'm not gonna get opinion on that just measure the total branch possibilities after i got in the new addons... so i saw the chart with all the stats  from that point

if you got 16 character total to have fun with, 19 if you go with a  queer      option, not asking for that option personally lol, but  got no objection either as it reflect our society, so  let keep it simple   to a more binary  option, 16 character that the Mc could steal  skill from , for a certain period, depending on another variable, that i didn't figure out since your story is incomplete,  but let say for a simple matter that it a fix period of 24h reset at morning  so in programming speaking:    if  var[Stole_skill]is on && var[hours]>23 var[stole_skill]is off.... now i guess it 1 var per character so more like [stole_skill_charatername]  so a total of 16 variable, 19  with the  man included  , now  for the story

as all toon got a interest bar, i guess we will be able to have fun with them,  so an other 16 var (+3)  that 38 var plus the hours system, and then come the complexity, if the mc got this [container _skill]=on then, this  is on, and this is off, your 2 possible ending good or bad, the complex part is about the interest,does your system implies, as you describe, [steal_Passive] depending on  hate/neutral/love.

I'm going to get an example star wars knight of the old republic, the one on xbox, you had light side/ the gray as neutral/ dark side, but to unlock special ability only available to true side you had to get really high that ladder, that was -100 to 100 dark side to light side that  how they realise a variable for that kinda alignment, each action, choice add or remove point on that ladder to reflect your mentality, that the ladder i was speaking about. 

Quick explanation: if var[side]<=-25 then var[dark] is on if var[side]<=25 then [gray] is on else var[light] is on

So when a game say choice matter i got that expectation.

So that explained, if we take a full universe of 19 character, with that ladder in mind. we need a story that give us those ~200 point total per character not really 200 because eventually a character will love you or hate you, but still need a story that will impact his personal thinking. 

then an other option, i  think you  use is a more global impact, like if you  choose an answer, all characters will be impacted depending on the choice, make it less complex, with only 4 main story line with  1 girl for each team... something like that

So i know in the end it is your story, your idea, and i'm just trying to let you view how big i see the picture, but again, maybe it too much and i understand that for a person that is on his own, it can be a PITA..

Don't go think i want to patronize you, were just sharing idea  about developing a choice matter game, and as i said many time i really appreciate the time you take for your fanbase.

Ah no prob was  just offering,  and ya i  i figure you had 1 var per toon, just wasn't sure if you were done with it,  so 24 possibility let get this down into  math, 4 character, 3 status (bad, neutral, god), 2  possible "ending?" did i figured out , now let get complex,  you got 16 women and each have 3 alignment ,  so rigth there w/o  your 4 main , that 12*3 with 2 possible ending maybe so were talking bout  72 different line of story , that goes game over to a dif. point in the story, (that the trick not to go write  the 72  dif. story) with a somewhat good ending or not... so let say half of that 72 possibility goes game over,  that leave a 36 2/3 of the story to be told from different pov, and a 36 other possibility that can go over from Asap the game start, to 4/5 of the story, depending on their skill and well the story...sometime it only come to the decider... am i right..lol

oh and for the ladder if i red correctly megan_interes<=25 else then kaoru_interes<=5 else  & emma_interes<=10 else, if this is not a dif. ladder, are you using a dynamic random variable, it like Math_random{0-24}, i dont know if you understand as my english sometime is lost in translation...lol but a ya they all got a different "love base" if this is not a ladder to you, what is it?

So if i understand you implant only 3 variables [megan_interes][kaoru_interes]&[emma_interes]and each character, have a different ladder , it fun to see this piece of code as it show me how ren'py work differently than JavaScript, it almost work as SQL from excel base...

So if i understand 0.7 might be delayed till it's finished, polished, and bug free, i guess it the right way to do thing, as it leave less expectation problem on the side, people want to see where the story goes and 1 page at a time is probably a little bit deceiving, they want a full chapter...and it's understandable..

In any case, i really appreciate the way you take the time for your community as the way you work, so 1 month or 3 , if it take that amount of time, it will take that amount and i will wait, not being anxious about it, cause i know in the end, that you care about your fanbase.

Always a pleasure to read about how you developp your game, for some people, i migth be boring, but not for me, i just don't have your patience, when it come to 3d, probably why im still in 2d...but really love the input, about the "behind the scene"... 

The people don't realize how it can be complex to deal with, parralax mapping, 2d-3d, pixel movement, actual coding, i don't intend to swicth to Ren'py, but any dev. platform is a pita to learn, and as they have good point they also got bad one, and about that, i don't know if it pertaining to a patch from Ren'py but since the last one maybe what 3 month ago, some game tend to get laggy to the point that you gotta go offline and back online to stop some bad processing, i guess it goes with a memory leak problem, but it only happens under some Ren'py game. The worst, its the fact that it happen sometime to a game that is updated every 2 month or so..

So it have to be pertaining to a line that is missing..a big mem leak line...I hope for you and your follower that this is just because of devellopper missing experience, and forgot to apply a thing  or two...but if it Ren'py that is problematic...we're F.....anyway have a good one. anxious to see the next episode...lol

And that the reason why  i think you are a inspiring developper, adult audience or not, taking the time to speak with a total stranger about this , taking the time to answer,  i did not mention it but yes i read your post, i wish dev on patreon would open more on news not behind Cash wall, because i think that this is the main issue here, take  "Satisfactory" -game from coffee stain    as an example, they started  to have a dialog with their fanbase around update 0.3.0 and after that they made a big patch every 6 month or so, but  between each patch they keep in touch with the dev, the fanbase..

By  keeping the developpement (news) behind the membership "pay to get news" is a big mistake, actually you want your fanbase to be hook to your "news" keeping your fanbase inform, "information should be free",  you will reach a bigger fanbase, and your project will grow much more faster. 

Now i can't argue  with you as a non-professional game dev, i started to craft game on rpg-maker a few years ago, and my main issue, everytime i get the code down is "visual" what you call Render...i got no talent to put my mind into an image, whatsoever, but  i understand a lot of concept that non developer would not even be aware of.

If Render would be they only issue for me,  as i'm aware of a lot of programming principle like ; check, variable, switch, conditional branch, parallax mapping and so on. The fact that you master this on your own is already something. I don't know about python, i look into ren'py and to me it look complex, maybe i'm just too old now. Ya im almost 50...

And like me the main reason why Visual novel work so fine with us , including yourself, i guess, it that lack of romanesk adventure, let face it we like the Romantic even if this Romantic is Gore, best example is "the  boys" serie on prime, people like hero, even if they are murderer, why because we like power!

My love for game is way to heavy to explain as it come back to 1982 when commodore 32 bytes was release with a keyboard and a cartridge on his right side, if people speak about atari and coleco as the first console id say that keyboard was probably among them.

That aside, i'm a big fan of fantasy, from the first rpg style, spaceQuest and other more known to the public like final fantasy... So that the main reason why i want to make a game, though even if i had  patreon to help me, i'm not sure i could do everything on my own, i would probably need  a drawer, if you get what i mean so anyway, this letter is not about my project but yours, and again i really appreciated the fact that you took the time to get back to me.

It show how you respect your fanbase, and since the first day  i've been following you, you never deceived me, i like your idea, it reach me  in all my "R" spot ---Roman spot. And ya i get  it     when you speak about the hardware issue.

I think the main reason why i didn't publish any of my game was because of software issue, don't get me wrong Rpg-maker is good got a great community that really help non coder like me, but the limitation of the program  is a PITA, that aside im sure if i would take the time to get the financial support like you, that i could drop a great game in the end, i guess i'm still not  convinced enough about what i can or can't do, and how to do it.

Anyway i guess you understand why i would make a great game dev, by now as i like to write down so much...lol

I appreciate your understanding, about this subject, was asking myself if it would have been ok to pay for the subscription, but instead of being a recurring payment would be like pay per patch.As i was not sure if it would have been lucrative and legal, i decided to wait.

As you explained, the program that you use, if we add up all the fees, i can understand that some developper are tempting in putting a amount that pay all these fees, and then their salary, plus employee/subcontractor, in the end it could cost an easy 400$ per week if it not even more.

Though the first thing a independent developer should focus on is to publish and finish his game to get a bigger fan base, bigger team, bigger budget, well you get the picture.

So why am i saying all this, i think that at first, you should get a fixed amount for a fixed product, paying for developpement is to non-precise, example 5,00$ ---next patch, 50.00$ personalise character *ingame so those who invest like me as an exemple again, you create a npc with my name, now; what does he do, 10$ extra; per customisation, and there you got an NFT.

If you follow me, now don't get me wrong i really appreciate your work, the fact that you share your experience with us, and especially your story, thought as an old accountant, i can understand why people don't get on patreon.

As it may be totally normal for the generation that live paying per month for a game like World of Warcraft, this business model doesn't work with the gen"X" as we were used to by a finished game, no dlc, no addon, no mod, no subscription. So if you want to reach us you got to make a clear product because for us, and the generation before us, money doesn't fall from trees.

On a positive note the fact that you decided to put a final amount on your games with a define structure 1 patch / 3 month for 10$ 1 time payment, was probably the best , you wont get as much, but you might get more cashflow in one big wave, and then you gonna be able to play with your budget, and then if you want to make extra tip you always got the extra *ingame NFT, something that is unique, a product that says to your fanBase here something that you really want.

Finally, as you, English is not my first language, French is my first language, but i didn't use gpt, for this letter of opinion and appreciation, and i wanted to say Thank You you are a really inspiring developper. 

Oui j ai constaté aussi, super ton jeu btw, 2 pouce en l air d'un cousin du québec. hate de voir suite, j'aimerais savoir par contre  étant donné que j parle a pas beaucoup de français, ren'py tu bin dure a apprendre j'l'ai checker, mais j 'ai pas catcher grand chose venant des plateformes comme Rpgmaker metton que le language de programmation a l air assez complexe, fait tu longtemps que vous l utilisez ... toi et ton/ta partenaire

oui en  jouant avec un version vendu  sur gog, de best j suis tomber sur une erreur  du code , le bios  n est pas défini, je sais pas si il le devient plus tard dans le jeu,  l erreur  s'est produite tout suite après que le cellulaire devienne accessible  et donc il peut s agir du fait que le meta on pas de donne encore de bios, bref je sais que sur la plupart des  programmes de dev de jeu il existe des formules pour eviter que la définition ne soit null...c'est tout le jeu est super.

Ya ty for the reply, i kinda find out how  the     files work out, you can't have more clear than that, im  used to have a readme.txt but that was neat and simple.

question on save file and update version, am i better to reinstall and start from scracth or is your updated version  is rewriting the old one,.

So i kinda lock myself  out of transportation, you see between the mountain path you gotta get rid of stone scrap to open the road, thougth after checking everywhere there is no way to get rid of stone,  as no way to sell it , i dont know if it would be hard to add, if you don' t want player to have a certain amount of silcrow, a way to get rid of  to much inventory, in my opinion  the fastest way would be to check your random event that spawn   and add a way to exchange rock for metal or whatever, but it could also be a common event where you ask the player how much he would like to get rid.

in code  ,in rpg maker, it would look like   in skill page, "drop" ---start common event () 

and then in common event just ask the player how much it would like to drop .

you gotta  make a conditionnal check if the player got more than 1 item in inventory to make sure  that evrything work properly, 

and then enter a value i think, if i remember under mz  it doable with variable input  after that done an other conditionnal check if player got more than variable input...

and if everything is rigth drop (minus (number of item))

an easy  input, 

solution 2 : add a exchange option in  archibald city for scrap... or a reward system..

To my knowledge   stone is probably the only scrap that you cant exchange,

i hope this make sense to you, pretty sure you know how to resolve that issue,  if you ever need my help with rpg maker mz, like i said im an avanced beginner ,  and i'm just trying to help out ... 

I would like to congratulate  The   Mithril hourglass  for his deep search of the lore of this game, as being a advanced-beginner to  the rpg maker, i gotta admit that , even if the graphic are default and they keep saying everywhere that we should customise everything,  it is reassuring to acknowledge that with great lore, story and mysteries, a game doesn't need fancy graphic to be a game, i would like to play "again & again".

As for a great example , first of all i need to tell that i'm on my second playthrough since the first one didn't go well to a certain point in the  game, so i decided to restart for finding out some detail i might have miss the first time.

A detail that i was remembering  have seen but wasn't sure of ;

 Spoiler alert : when you reached a certain castle, and negotiate with a certain  dominatrix who love anal...She refer to the Jagannatha  family as getting their finger everywhere, which im aint sure  yet, but might be a clue to what your family name is. And hiding a secret reward when you are asked to  enter , i believe, a code. 

Now this part gotta be confirm first, as i don't want to speculate, but the real reason why i choose that example is that it refer to an hindu  god  , if i'm right , Jagga which mean master and nattha  who mean universe, it seem like the right name for our hero.

And not knowing our game developer in anyway, this is one  of the reason why  this  game deserve a certain "mention" .

When  a game is able to make you learn something that is pertaining to the real world. It make it a Icon, and nudity and adult  subject aside, i think your game is just a game i would like to  see get more view.  As it the type of game an old gamer like myself wish there was more.

hey i totally understand, like i tried to explain, coding is a tougth job, really, and if he need a break, or even if he need to quit, he got the rigth to do the best   he can to preserve what is the most important to him. I whish him the best. Ty  Yuri  i would like  to wish for a world where everybody can do what he like  and not care about health, wealth and all the other word finishing by ealth if there is, but you know like me that were far from star trek (now this migth be a akward reference , let just say that there is no more money in star trek) have a good one ...let cross our finger for his well being first than his come back w/e the reason of his absence...

So nobody know why the dev stop to work on this project, 3 thing may come to my mind,1: no fund available, that mean we got to support the dev a little more,  althougth time is roff for everyone, and we understand that not everybody got the money for that, me first, 2: the idea sometime ideas don't come as fast after a while, that why there always a team behing a game dev, and 3: the coding, i know how it could be frustrating to try to implant a new system, and nothing work the way you see thing, again it alway a matter of how much your willing to pay your collab, but sometime even when you got help, you feel like it not your baby anymore, and  that even worse of all the rest, and in the end if the dev got no more fun or nothing more to say sometime it better just to make a quick ending ...and  get out of the picture.

Finally sometime if the dev would not have all these  problem, there always the bad comment on the net that lower the moral and that is probably the worst off all , the cherry on the cake that make everything collaspe.

Personnally never played Atemsiel game i wish i did but for some reason it look like the game is bug and doesnt want to start, it just stay on a black screen like if the ini was on false. But as a developper that just found out about ren and python i see what are the chalenge that dev go througth and they have all my respect whatever their project are, it is a tougth job...
