Hi all. 

For context, some players in SA servers met CM Sergio to express their opinions about the update changes and other topics in general. Here are our responses:

Topic) Interface:

The game interface was adapted so the game is more friendly to mobile players. This also means it was simplified. For example, you won't be able to play with many windows opened anymore. Our goal is to attract all players and the majority thinks the current UI is too complicated.

About hotkeys not fitting the screen anymore, we added an advanced option to hide the minimap and allow you to configure two columns of hotkeys like before. We are also adding another option to change the entire set of hotkeys quickly.

About the status of the player that were moved to the top-left corner of the screen, our objective is make the player to look at just a single place in the screen where we show health, mana, exhaust bars, targets, etc.. We believe it is a matter of adapting and getting used to the stats there.

About adapting the UI, we are always paying attention how players are playing and what are their pain points on learning and playing the game. This means the current interface is always subject to change allowing the game to be more pleasant to all. Therefore, always send us feedback in the forum :)

Topic) Overloaded server and lag:

We will always work to bring you the best service possible. We have statistics on the players latency and we are always monitoring in case the server "freezes" and causes lag.

About the message "server is overloaded", we have defense systems against DDoS attacks among others. These defenses aim to protect the online players. We will always update those defenses to bring a better service to you. We already reviewed our algorithms and made some adjustments to try to improve the game login.

And if you are lagging please use the #report channel in Discord so the staff can try to help and look for possible problems with our servers provider. Topic) Vocations balancing:

One thing is clear and nobody can deny: there is no consensus on which vocation is better than the other. Another point worthy to mention is that all vocations have advantages AND disadvantages. Finally, balancing doesn't mean making classes stronger.

We want to make it clear that we don't make random decisions. We thought on everything that was changed in a general way (considering all points of view).

Another important thing, Kakele is Kakele. The game is indeed influenced by other games, but it has its own essence and way of playing. Thus, opinions like "Tibia works like this, Kakele must as well!" are shallow and don't add value to the discussion.

Finally, as said before, nothing is written in stone in Kakele and we will always adapt spells and items in case something in unbalanced. The test server is for testing and we would like you to bring more feedback based on data and not speculations (for instance, I tested this spell with and without equipments, the damages were 1000, 1100, 1200.. this spell is unbalanced because of X, Y and Z.).

Para contextualizar, alguns jogadores dos servidores SA se reuniram com o CM Sergio para expressar suas opiniões sobre as mudanças do update e outros tópicos no geral. Aqui estão nossas respostas:

Tópico) Interface:

A interface do jogo foi adaptada para deixar o jogo mais amigável para quem joga no celular. Isso também significa que ela foi simplificada. Por exemplo, não será possível deixar várias janelas abertas mais. Nosso objetivo é atrair todos os jogadores e a maioria acha a interface atual complicada.

Sobre hotkeys não cabendo na tela mais, já adicionamos uma opção avançada para esconder o minimapa e permitir configurar duas filas de hotkey como antigamente. Vamos adicionar outra opção avançada de trocar o set de hotkeys de forma rápida.

Em relação aos estados do jogador ficarem no canto superior esquerdo, nosso objetivo é fazer o jogador olhar para apenas um lugar da tela onde são mostradas vida, mana, exhausts, alvos, etc.. Acreditamos ser uma questão de adaptação para se acostumar com os estados ali.

Sobre adaptação da interface, sempre estaremos atentos a como os players estão jogando e o que eles sentem mais dificuldade em aprender e adaptar. Isso significa que a interface como está hoje sempre poderá sofrer alterações para deixar o jogo mais agradável a todos. Por isso, sempre nos enviem feedback no fórum :)

Tópico) Servidor sobrecarregado e lag:

Sempre vamos trabalhar pra trazer o melhor serviço possível a vocês. Temos estatísticas da latência dos jogadores e sempre estamos atentos caso o servidor "engasgue" e cause lag.

Sobre a mensagem de "servidor sobrecarregado", temos sistemas de defensa contra ataques DDoS dentre outros. Essas defesas visam proteger os jogadores já online. Sempre iremos atualizar nossas defesas pra trazer um melhor atendimento a vocês. Já revisamos nossos algoritmos e fizemos algumas adaptações para tentar melhorar o login no jogo.

E caso esteja dando lag para você utilize o canal #report no Discord para a staff tentar te ajudar e olhar possíveis problemas com o nosso provedor de servidores. Tópico) Balanceamento de vocações:

Uma coisa ficou clara e ninguém pode negar: não há consenso em que vocação é melhor que a outra. Outro ponto que vale a pena ser ressaltado é que toda vocação tem vantagens E (ênfase no "e") desvantagens. Finalmente, balanceamento não significa fortalecer classes.

Queremos deixar claro que não tomamos decisões aleatórias. Pensamos em tudo que foi mudado de forma geral (considerando todos os pontos de vista).

Outra coisa importante, Kakele é Kakele. O jogo é influenciado por outros jogos sim, mas tem sua própria essência e modo de jogo. Portanto, opiniões do tipo "Tibia é assim, Kakele tem que ser também!" são rasas e não somam na conversa.

Finalmente, como dito antes, nada é escrito em pedra no Kakele e sempre adaptaremos magias e itens caso algo esteja desbalanceado. O teste server é pra isso e gostaríamos de que trouxessem mais feedback baseado em dados e não especulações (por exemplo, fiz o teste dessa magia com e sem equipamentos, os danos foram: 1000, 1100, 1200.. essa magia está desbalanceada por X, Y e Z).

1. Yes, there is no limit on the amount of hotkeys you can setup. You will even have more keyboard key options.

5. For technical reasons, you can only change the game resolution on PC if you play on full screen mode.

Hi Xuranu, we appreciate your excitement about the update!

Here are the responses:

1. About the hotkeys on PC, they will be the same as what we presented in the video with an option to assign a keyboard key to the item/spell. You will be able to move the hotkeys around and place them as they are currently in the hotkeys panel.

2. The reason we moved buffs and debuffs next to the HP bars is that you will only need to pay attention to a single place in the screen. If we kept them at the bottom, players would need to pay attention to the two places. Note that even though your vision range is greater now, you can only attack/be attacked within a 7x5 range.

3. We made the targets more compact so they can occupy less space. We will share more demos later on. What I said on 2 also applies.

4. Our vision is that players shouldn't keep windows opened anymore. We know you got used to it but for mobile it doesn't work and scare new players.

5. Making everything resizable is not worth the effort. It makes designing and programming more complex and the impact isn't clear. We had this goal of making everything very customizable but we learned that, although some players like it, the majority finds it overwhelming and complicated.

That being said, we are not writting things in stone. Let's wait for the test server and gather feedback from all of you so we can decide what needs to be changed / improved.

Complementing the answers above about directional spells, we currently have no plans of adding that to Kakele. The reason is that it would be hard for mobile players (at least with current mechanics) and we want the gameplay to be similar and fair on any platform. Cheers.

Hey Hellgorak, could you share with us your ideas about passive spells?

In a way, we already have that in Kakele. We have spells that provide passive status for a given amount of time.

About elementals, the idea is interesting, but I don't see us changing things right now, since we are focused in balancing the vocations and adding new things to do in the game.

We will reduce the server boost prices in the next update.

About map events, we are discussing internally whether that should change so it is easier to predict when a given event will happen.

We are removing the success rate chance from blacksmith. Basically, the success change will be 100% next update.

We are also decreasing the respawn time of the ores in the rocks.
