Review other games. Not only review them, but take a time to leave a nice feedback to the developers. In most jams I took part, I could notice that when I left a feedback, the developer usually later also reviewed my game. And I gave priority to playing games from who gave me feedback. And that happens organically, no need to say in the end of the comment "please review my game too" ;)

More so, it is always nice to leave a positive feedback to other people.

I've managed to play it on Microsoft Edge ;) Probably something about pop-up, I don't know..

I'm not sure if I understood the story. As the other person said, it fell like art, in the way that youreflect upon what you experienced to try to apprehend some meaning.

Congrats!

The brainstorm leads a an apparently interesting game. Pretty different, to build the manual as the game per se. I'd like to know when it goes live!

You game's art is very captivating!

I liked that the gameplay consisted in different minigames, each time with a completely different mechanic but not getting too complicated.

Congrats!

Your game seems cute by the printscreens, when you upload the game itself, please let me know so I could test it :)

It seems to be and interesting concept, but I could not run it on my pc (windows, google chrome browser).

Please, tell me when you upload a downloadable file or fix the web version, so I can test :)

I followed your development steps over on discord. Congrats, the game is becoming very nice!

I can't wait to play the finished version, what you have is already very nice :)

Great, great, great game!

I can't believe you accomplished so much in just 2 weeks! Congrats, it is really good!

I loved the art, the story, the word selection mechanic, the non-linear fashion that the story is told...

Just two things I'd improve: add a walking animation and a way to save the progress.

About the walking:  yeah, I know, jam time, and you already did so much! I ain't complaining, it would be the icing on the cake!

About the save: this was the longest jam game I've ever played. Usually, they are short experiences, but with your game I took well over 1h to finish, almost 2h. And, with it being a lore-heavy game, the player get a bit tired. Having a saving system would allow the player to pause and return later ;)

Those suggestions are for a future full-release of the game. I'm not kidding, you have potential in it to release as a full game!

Congratulations once again, I liked it a lot!

Congrats on the game!

You had an interesting approach to the narrative, just some vague dialogues but I think you indeed managed to tell something.

The art style is very particular, your game sticks out among the majority!

PS: the game ends after talking to the 3rd or 4th person and walking to the right? At least for me the game crashed twice in this same spot, I guess this is up to where you could dev in the jam time ;)

Definitely one of the games ever made!

Lol, I think I liked the absurdity of the story, it is definitely unique hahah

Congrats on making the game!

Thank for your feedback on the story and the simpler design, and of course for playing the game! I am so glad that you liked it :)

Very cool game! Simple and effective!

SPOILER!

At first I made the ex a jerk, saying he cheated on me with my sis. But then I gave it another try and he became a jerk on its own lol

So, kids, don't you ever text back an ex 5min before the Doomsday. Nothing good comes from it haha

Fun little point and click game!

When you click the left tree for the first time, just a trunk appears, with no indicator. I thought I was softlocked in that part... Had to replay it arbout 3 times to finally find my way. So more tips there would be good in a newer version ;)

Congrats!, you did a fun narrative, which is different from most games I've played (I guess the theme leads to more dark stories naturally)

Oh my... great work!

Simple but very very well executed! great art, use of sound effects, narrative.

Was kinda dark -- poor doggo :'( --, but well told. I thought the game was over before sleeping the first time, I'm glad I went back to the bedroom and continued playing it to the end!

Hi, what is the interaction button? I could walk around the room but could not interact with the phone or other things...

A tutorial would be nice, even written on the game's page :)

Interesting game. The web version does not work the music part for me..

I felt the detection of hit or miss was a bit weird. It says you must hit it close to the bar, so I would expect that hitting exactly on bar would give the most points, but it was always a miss..

Other than that, the difficulty spike from the first to the second song... omg. It went from a calm game to a frenetic one. I guess it fits the story parts in which they appear, but I don't know, it felt the spike too steep you know?

Congratulations on the game, you even added voice acting! (which is very well done, btw)

I managed to play it, was a nice tactical rpg with many nuances depending on the characters!

I found a bug when trying to summon a helper (I think it is one robot?), it said it could not load the audio file..

Error: Failed to load: audio/se/Powerup.rpgmvo

at Function.ResourceHandler.fetchWithRetry (AudioStreaming.js:260:27)

And the web version was also bugged, I didn't manage to run it, so I downloaded the game to test it ;)

Yeah, I replayed to that point so I could see the ending! Congratz!

I completely understand the time constrain on a jam, yu did a fantastic work!

Nice pack! From the plant characters, I liked most the carnivorous hydra hehe

Interesting dark game. I got softlocked when I had to throw the ball, it disappeared.

I felt like the ball throwing part could be better tweaked, the physics made it a bit hard to fulfill the objective.

One other sugestion, could implement subtitles for the father lines, it was a little hard to understand with the distortions in the voice.

Congrats on the game!

Hi MBoffin, the game page needs a password to access. Probably you uploaded it as a draft. When you turn it public, please give me a call so I can test your game :)

Hi, I think you forgot to make the project public when submitting it...

When you turn it public, answer my message here so I can test your game :)

The art... amazing! I liked how the dialogue has a flow of letters and words similar to a conversation, nice touch!

I'm eager to know more of the story, maybe adding some choices in future dialogues could be interesting as well ;)

Congrats!

Good game! Touching story!

It was hard to make the decisions, and at last I chose (spoiler free) the second option of the last question...

As it was kinda autobiographic, I hope you found peace and a place and people you feel welcomed by

Hi, you uploaded just the .exe file. With Unity projects, you have to upload the .dll files as well.

You could compress the whole game folder with zip and re-upload :)

I loved it!

The story is very nice and well told. What surprised me the most were the sound effects, superb! Usually this is a neglected part of jam games, but you nailed it!

Just one think I'd change: you walk with AD, follow dialogue with Enter, but have to select the lines with the mouse. There are basically 3 places to use my hand in the keyboard/mouse. I'd personally prefer just 2 places, for example select the lines with WS and confirm with Enter would be a possibility ;)

Congrats again, great entry!

Some password is needed to access the page... You can edit the game and make it 'public' instead of 'draft' so no password is needed ;)

The characters are fun (loved the Butcher), and it is all very pretty. For what I remember from discord, you did the art? Congrats!

The game needs some more juice, but I could see you probably plan to continue developing, and the quests/choices you have implemented are nice!

Couldn't have access to the game's page. When it is up, tell me so I can try it :)

Bem legal a ideia!

A introdução e o som dela: show de bolas demais!

Parabéns a todo mundo do time, arrasaram!
