Yep, had the same idea. A code/render processing management game & you play the role of a game engine.

Neat idea, but it seems like the lantern stops working after the first catch. The level reloading part is also a bit frustrating & unexpected.

This is a jam game and as such not optimized or tested properly. All kinds of bugs are possible as well. Could you give us more details of your setup, cause that seems like a very rare bug in general.

We really enjoyed creating it, so we will definitely consider making something like this in the future. As for now, we're currently working on a game already. This year's LD was basically "a day off" in development.
