How does your game fit the theme?
Typesetter is a role reversal of traditional idle games, where the main premise is to automate progress and remain idle, whereas in Typesetter, there is perpetual motion, all aspects of the game are managed by the player.

I genuinely cannot believe that this is not already a game. Surprisingly addictive, but the challenges seem impossible unless I am really slow at typing.
If you haven't played my game yet, check it out.
I wish I had this game to learn typing when in school. An excellent meditative experience, the presentation is great and the font and challenge speed options where greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for making this; I had a great time playing it.
I wanna like this game but I feel like it has some pretty big balance issues right now. It's just reallyyy slow to get anywhere with it, which is fine in an idle game but this isn't really an idle game. That and the challenges are just insane man. They have to be like 200wpm required. I can type 100wmp and its not even close. Plus no easy way to restart meaning having to click stuff and move your hand to the keyboard whileee the timer is ticking. It's just like, yeesh.
Funny idea though.
I really like the combination of typing game + idle game! It was a really relaxing experience. I don't usually like idle games but this one was very nice
Interesting take on idle games. Not sure if this was just my screen color settings, but when I was able to type multiple letters, the letters that I had already typed in the current string were not a different color. (If this is not already the case) that could be one potential improvement
simple game but quite enjoyable! I was kinda hoping it would have a poetry aspect to it, like you can type out sentences with just the words you are given, but I guess that's kinda what the challenges are? It's still cool to see how many words you can make with just limited letters though!
I couldn't stop playing this game. If someone described it to me I would think it was really tedious and boring but somehow I found it both relaxing and addictive. Really unique concept and engaging gameplay, even if I don't understand why it is so.
One minor nitpick is that the challenges tab should start with available and uncompleted challenges rather than making it necessary for players to scroll down to find the available challenges. That aside, I really enjoyed this game and I think you're a wizard.
Really chilling idle game, ejoyed playing it! The typing sound is perfect, it's so satistying! Maybe my only suggestion would be to change the font to something more legible. Overall a really nce game!
i feel like this is a typing game to train your wpm but also learn the alphabet at the same haha. good job!
The most unique concept I've seen in the jam so far. The gameplay got repetitive after a while but still typing became oddly satisfying
I like the concept of this a lot, but typing the words over and over again got tedious after a while (though I do love the sounds typing makes---so satisfying!). I couldn't do any of the challenges, even with the slider set to max; I normally type at around 100 WPM but even that wasn't fast enough, especially with having to move my hand from the mouse back to the keyboard to start. I wonder if it's a bug that they're so fast, as when I first tried them at the default setting, the very first challenge had less than a second on the timer. I tried the downloadable version to see if it would be any different, but the resolution seemed to be set wrong and I could only see a quarter of the game. Overall, good work on this. It just needs a little polishing up, I think!
Like the best idle games, this game is very easy to get lost in for half an hour, even though it only seemed like 5 minutes. The "grinding" by just typing the randomized prompts, combined with the letter shop and the challenges, made for a complete loop that cleverly tied into one another and kept me engaged throughout, constantly giving me new goals to strive for. Great work!
At first, I was not sure what I was doing then... I soon realized I have been playing for a while. Something about this game is so magical and it is very relaxing. Super nice job!
A perfect example how to make a game that is long enough and engaging during a 48h jam
