cool concept and I like the visuals but the rotation speed is a bit too much

an almost finished game that just needs a bit more content
great art style supported by nice music and SFX
but the pain point for me that stopped me from enjoying it around the mid way point
was the unnecessary amount of health that the bosses have.
don't get me wrong I have sunk thousands of hours into souls games. I seek challenging games.
it's just not the kind of game that should be this challenging (most of the fault lay's on Hollow knight really - still like it). especially when the movement is constant and can some what be unpredictable turning mistakes into frustration because I have never meant for the character to move that way. (kinda like fighting 2 bosses at the same time)
this is just a me thing. games like these have their audiences.
and a game made for everyone is a game made for no one.
creativity and theme wise this great.
Totally noted on the camera. it seems to be a pain point for a lot of tester.
we had planned for a lot more. which turned out no where near the scope of the project.
a bit of story telling elements is 100% needed to give the players a reason to explore and find the goal
very serious feedback as well. thank you for playing.
thank you for trying it out. you are totally right on the gameplay being stale. we had plans for more levels and more types of mobs. sadly didn't get enough time for it. the camera seem to be an issue for a lot of people I have to think this over. a 2D camera set up doesn't seem to work with a 3d world. also Godot collision system is the pain of my existence haha. the stab attack on the boss kept getting him stuck or clipping out of the map.
there is room to improve here for sure.
thanks for trying it out.
sadly the artist we planned this with couldn't help so we had to use pretty much free assets on everything.
would have loved to take more advantage of the depth as well.
good feedback on the camera tho.
Metroidvania cameras clash with 3d a bit too much I will have to think of something here.
this is on track to being a full fledge game
it's already 80% there. just need that last 20%
the only thing missing for the jam is the spinning part (I know it's not required really)
some "spinning" here or there would be great.
even if just visuals. for example picking 3 cards randomly of a spinning wheel of 10 cards
side note: add a full screen button here. the itch.io overlay is drawn over the game which is annoying
also it's a bit laggy for me on the menu
cool idea but would have loved to have more control in the game
other than upgrading the weapons and praying
at the risk of turning it to yet another vampire survivors clone
moving would have been great. even if at very slow speeds or moving by spinning (nice for the theme)
also balancing issue (not taken into consideration for rating. we had a mere week.)
great art style and cool puzzles related to the theme
this has potential in being a full fledged puzzle game.
that being said it get repetitive real fast (in a short demo like this is fine - so didn't take this into my rating)
if you guys are aiming to keep this going for a full game
puzzles need to be spread out more. and the music shouldn't hold the same loop
the entire level.
and a pay off for each puzzle other than just being a hurdle in the way would be great
in game currency that is used later on for example.
nice work.
on thing I would love to see, is input actions
even if just a list in the game description
figured out you can attack and run faster by just mashing buttons
the enemies also seem to be able to hit you from really far away
got the theme down it's just missing some content and SFX
fair considering the limited time you had

I love to be as encouraging to anyone joined the jam
seeing as this is my first attempt as well
but I have to be honest here
the idea in connection to the theme is great
the art is unique
but lacking in the game part
I played it for like 5 min straight. figuring out that you can just spam the fire button
without losing a single round
either the "AI" isn't actually taking his bullet location into consideration or I was just mad lucky
firing 1 or 2 blank shots beats spinning for a lucky position every time.
and I am not sure if I missed anything. but didn't hear any audio which is tanking the game feel a lot
