Good job everyone! Looking forward to seeing a bunch of the entries show up on Joel's stream!

Thank you for playing and I'm very glad you enjoyed it!

very wholesome, glad I got to feel this experience before the jam was over, I can now fully appreciate the bald underneath my hair

Thank you! I have only updated the windows build as a separate post-jam download, will update the HMTL5 after the voting period ends

I have a new build for Thumbarrage (not uploaded yet) with some difficulty/experience adjustments, such as:

  • There was a bug on the HTML5 where players could select "Continue" skipping the intro
  • Changed gravity for better air control
  • Repositioned some enemies a bit for hopefully better level design
  • Changed the final boss vulnerable sprite for better indication
  • Added the option to hold the button to polish the head instead of having to constantly spam it
  • Extended some of the platforms to make certain sections less frustrating

I want to make these changes for both the HTML5 and Windows builds, should I make these on a post-jam build or would these be fine to replace the current builds?

Thank you for playing!

And agreed, there were some designs that could had been made better, I have a new version ready to upload for when the game jam is over which should fix some of the difficulties, such as better platform placement, and change on the air control, so hopefully that will make things like the bonzi boss easier

Thank you! Not everyone seemed content with the mechanic so I'm glad to see that some did enjoy it! There are rooms for improvement so I won't deny that haha

I'm glad you think so! There is room for improvement but really happy with how it turned out overall

Thank you for playing the game and glad you enjoyed it!

I agree, the controls could had been done better, I have a new version ready for when the voting period is over that will hopefully make the controls feel better!

And yeah, the Z X thing always gets me due to playing so many different games that have swapped them around in the past haha

Always pleasing to find some fun dungeon crawlers!

The atmosphere is amazing, loved the effects! Got to punch many things so I'm content

Colonel, I'm trying to sneak around, but I am dummy BALD, and the shininess from my head keeps alerting the guards

Got my ass handed to me, 10/10 would bald again

This game teaches a very valuable lesson: No bepis before sleep, thank you for this experience

I cannot believe you managed to get full chat integration! Truly an amazing technology, great job to you and the entire planet!

A fellow bald platformer! Let's gooooooo! Glad to see more of it!

The puzzles were nicely designed! Some funi dialogues around too!

Brought me a bunch of laughs, some good content in here, can't believe you got Joel, Vinny, and Mike to do the voice acting for this game, truly spectacular!

Very entertaining! Had lots of fun, did get stuck at stage 10, couldn't figure it out with my smooth brain

Thank you! Glad you liked it! Quite happy with how it turned out

Glad it brought some laughs!

And yeah the controls are hit or miss it seems, the dashes do have a cancel (by pressing the jump button mid-dash), as for the air control I do agree it could have been done better

Cursed visuals of bald Jerma and Vinny, I love it, bunch of fun around!

Funny presentation, gave me a couple of laughs

I liked the animations! Oversized scissors is always funi to see, good job to your team!

Very adorable visuals and story, the mechanics fit the theme pretty well too!

I'm really impressed with the quality of presentation! And very funi too, got a bunch of laughs!

Pretty satisfying battle system, I cannot think of many games using a similar system, and pretty funny presentation too! Excellent job!

Accidentally put the volume very low so I lost half the instructions from the skeleton, but managed to figure out nonetheless as the game was pretty self-explanatory, very good job! Lots of funi

I got a way funnier experience than what I was anticipating, really good job, I went hehe hoho

Very psychological, very different from the rest of the entries!

Thank you and I'm glad you liked it!

yeah the shining mechanic was a bit of a gamble, hence the addition of the pity system to make it easier and easier for those that weren't a fan of it, would I had gotten more time I probably would had added an option to start with a shine pity value in exchange of rank penalty, but I'm glad that people are seeing past its flaws!

Amazing visuals,  and satisfying puzzles with great sense of direction!

I don't know if it was a bug but I couldn't click on the Anti alien alarm, which I was looking forward to hear his classic anti alien alarm, but the the Anti anti alien alarm worked so I'm satisfied with that too!

Thank you! I shall update the Windows version as mentioned in that case

I just noticed that in the latest version of the Windows version I forgot to re-enable an effect that was present for the windows version only: The "solitaire card effect" that was present in the final stage, when I did the recent fix I used the "HTML5" version for that room which disables the effect as it doesn't work for HTML5, would it be okay to for me to make an update to enable that "card effect" on the final stage for the windows version during the rating period or should I wait after the game jam is over?

(1 edit)

Got stuck in the herb / sword room for a bit, didn't notice I had to pick both of them as it wasn't giving me the option at first, but got it sorted out after walking around a bit!

Loved the atmosphere! Quite a different vibe in comparison to everything else in the game jam! Big fan of the visuals!

Thank you and glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah I was really sold on the speed head polishing mechanic and couldn't think of many systems that would make it any easier haha, other than of course just holding the button but felt like it'd be funnier this way, might come up with a solution after the jam because yeah my intention is NOT to break people's hands just trying to play the game lol

made me go hehe hoho, funi game, really good concept! Would had loved to see more of it!

Stunning visuals, memorable music too! I enjoy roguelikes so this hits the spot quite right, well done to your team!

Really fun stuff! Loved the visuals and the audio work, I did not manage to get anything higher than 2 stars, the difficulty for the 3 stars seems to be beyond my reach
