Thank you!!!! I'm glad someone liked it!!!

At the start of this year, I decided that I wanted to improve my gamedev skills. So, out of all the things you can do, outside of Jams, you just need to do more games. Even if they are simple, 5-minute prototypes. So it began, now it's March and I'm alreaddy working on my next game. But I published this one as my February game. Check out my itch page to find January's Game!!

It's name is Break Out. In this game (Heavily inspired by Undertale), you play as a child trying to escape his abusive household. Along the way, escaping from the illusions that pursue him.

I do hope I can make it to the end of the year! Thanks for playing my game! Yeah, it's a little hard to win if you don't  balance intelligence and strength when you grow your character.

I'm sorry. Godot 4.2 html exports are not compatible with many browsers.  You will have to use the windows executable.

That is the closest I got to making the parallax effect work XD

Thank you for playing my game!! I'm also not that good at it, even though I made the thing XD my highscore is 80.

The incentive was supposed to be the score increase. Given that it is an infinite game, so there is no way to actually "win". I had planned implementing a list that you had to complete, but I didn't know how to add that in the jam period.

It was fun. I enjoyed it. Very nice.

I really enjoyed it!! The art is good and the overall gameplay is engaging. I think the aim is a little off and it is a little distracting. I really liked it!! Good Job!!

It is the life bar jeje. Maybe I should have used another thing like hearts or candy cones XD

Thank you for playing!! Sure.

I made my game in godot 4.2. Exports in that version of the engine are known to be incompatible with a lot of browsers. So I exported my game to a windows executable and now ot should work for those of you that for some reason can't play the game. I don't add Mac nor Linux because I have no way of testing it.

Check out my game:

I published a windows executable of the game. For those that cannot play it in the browser.

It was very fun!! Maybe you should add gui that tells you what the controls are ingame. Other than that it is pretty cool. I wasn't expecting voice acting XD Nice job, dude.

Nice racing game. The controls are nice, if a little buggy. I think there should be a something to indicate what is your place in the race. My game got stuck in the minigame, maybe I didn't understand it. Good job, expecting to see it more developed.

Thank you!! I really couldn't think of any other way to implement the special object to the theme.

He really does XD thank you for playing!

Thank you! I really could have thought of another way to add obstacles, but moving platforms are the only  thing I could get working during jam period.

thank you! Sorry for the anxiety jaja

Very good looking! I really liked it. Also, controller support is nice.

Simple but good. I liked it!

Honestamente, me parece injusto lo bueno que es. Muchas felicitaciones al equipo!

Great!

I'm surprised. it's really good! I liked the graphics and the controls. Definitely way too good for a 9 day jam. Exellent job!

The game works, but for some reason it slows down everytime the enemy shoots a bullet.

First of all thank you for your feedback and for playing the game.

I tried to implement a saving system, but for some reason i though i would be easy and leave it to the end, the result was that it broke the game, it was the last day of the jam so i took that out, i should try to implement that in the future.

I was thinking of adding a sign in the cell, that told you the controls, and having like a puzzle where you must have use the duplication ability to get out of the cell, but i leaved it at the end and ended up having no time to do it.

About the combat, in retrospective, the switching characters mechanic was a mistake, but i realized that too late, and scrap that mean rethink everything i had done at that point, that was a week ago, i though of adding to the duplication the ability to explote so when you only have that character you could still defend yourself and maybe even block bullets, but that would make the combat more awkward.

I also though about adding a bar in the ui that changed the the position depending of what character you are controlling, but i was terrified to mess up the ui beacuse i wasted 7 days making it work properly, so i leave that at the end and ended up not doing it.

About the store you can only purchase 3 potions, you have to use at least one to be able to buy again, i should have added a way of making the player know that.

But well at the end  i'm glad i was able to make something, even if it's not perfect, i'll try to make an update to add the things you mentioned and really apreciate your final advice, i'll have that in mind when i design any game that i do in the future.
