Thanks for the balanced review of our game!! We're sorry it didn't click for you, but appreciate your kind compliments on other aspects of the game.
We'll definitely look into the balancing of controls and difficulty when we iterate on Loop the Loop. While we like the level of challenge our movement scheme brings, we don't want to make it too Foddian either.. thanks for the feedback, and we'll loop you in if there's a V2 :-)
Really liked the design and aesthetic of the game! Great job :)
Some minor nits: the bgm seemed to disappear after a while, and sometimes progressing felt a bit "unfair" because there appears to be no way to progress without taking damage due to unfortunate enemy placement.
I liked the interesting tidbits of NPCs scattered around, it made me want to explore more (as well as the last NPC promising me something would happen when I filled in everything... which I suppose did happen 🤔)
Would love to see what the team had in mind for the rest of the game!
Great puzzle platformer - it was well-executed and I liked the level designs and mechanics!
(subjective opinion) - I wasn't quite sure how much the 'death timer' mechanic added to the experience, since there was already a focus on being as fast as possible via the score system
I also really enjoyed the visuals and sound - the character design is really cute :)
oh wow i was nowhere near solving puzzle 1, i was just trying to drag each file on the desktop into the bridge - and i didn't realise that minesweeper was playable. thanks for the quick rundown!
great game, i really enjoyed the narrative and all the little touches (such as grey lines sliding on the screen) -- really sells the idea that "my computer is borked". i think it's a well-designed puzzle game and very well-executed!
a hint system could be nice for the more obtuse players like me 😅
neat puzzle game! i liked the concept and overall narrative of the game - i think it could benefit from overall speed up of the animations and some sfx.
when i first played it, it wasn't obvious to me that my goal was to light up as much of the map as possible - though this might just be me! perhaps some indicators or narrative instructions could help (the more obtuse players like me)
