Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! I always like to give background to my processes : )

I feel you. This stuff can get pretty costly lol. But I will say, if you can get Komplete Ultimate for 50% off on the summer sales, you can get it for only like $600, and I think the quality as well as quantity is definitely worth it! That and an Ozone Suite for mixing and mastering is like the perfect combo to get a professional sound for only around $1000 when purchased through sales. It may seem pricey, but I still think it's a good deal considering.

Thank you so much! : )

Thanks so much!

Absolutely beautiful orchestration! Sounds straight out of an Octopath Traveler game! What library did you use for the orchestra instruments?

I like the clave with the 8-bit sounds in the first one. In the second one I like your use of the minor 4 chord! It's one of my favs!

Very chill! I especially like the piano texture in the beginning!

It's a little waltz with a little bit of a twist. I like that little walk up the whole tone scale you do in the middle. It's like a step or two into a dream : )

I vibe with this! I like this eclectic harmony/rhythm/singularity thing you got going on between the bass and drums and basically everything. I see this being the theme of a mysterious, dark character, but not necessarily evil!

Oo! That's guitar solo is pretty good! I also like the almost hocket between the vibraphone and piano. It kind of reminds me of the piano part in Chocolate Rain actually lol. Well done!

I like the spacey feel! I'm pretty sure that theremin-sounding sound is from Earthbound, right? This tune could definitely fit right into that game!

Lo-fi is the background music of my life. Very nice counterpoint between the 2 piano parts throughout!

These all fit the theme absolutely perfectly! The Outside and The End are also vibes ~~~

I love the microtonal chippys in the beginning. The riff afterwards feels perfect for a dungeon in Link's Awakening, perhaps also because the owl imagery makes me think of the 7th dungeon (my fav in terms of music!). I dig the grungy guitar parts as well!

I really loved the kick in this one! What library did you use / how did you make it? The synths in the middle were also sinister! Really felt like a tense encounter with the most evil of evil villains!

Very nice contrast between all the parts while keeping the motifs similar! I want to say it sounds like a chill racing game for Dreamcast : )

Musack is always a vibe! I agree with @atmsite it was a good choice to go between the vibraphone and the guitar for some instrumental interest!

Also, the goose photo reminds me of all the times in the past when I would walk up a staircase at my university and get hissed at a surprise goose in the bushes lol

Another very Undertale-y sounding tune! The repeated bass line is pretty sick : )

Wow! First time? That was a GREAT first time. Keep going! You definitely will be able to make some cool stuff!

I just listened to your tune as well! Nice job on the narrative in your tune. I could tell there was a clear-cut exposition, build-up, and a climax. I also really liked the use of the descending 2nd inversion major 7th arpeggio. Those made it not just an adventure but a mystical adventure!

I also liked your tune a lot as well! It sounds like a warm happy tune from Earthbound with a touch of Ponyo : D

Thank you so much!

Even though I've never played Pokemon past gen 3, I have listened to a bunch of the newer music and wanted to aim for that vibe : )

Thank you so much!

Sometimes I actually have to reel myself in a bit because I like to transition so much to other new parts without fleshing out other ideas first lol.

Loopability comes natural nowadays after doing so many game jams haha

I'm glad you got that vibe! I wanted to make a piece that felt like going through a whole day in a quaint little town : )

I appreciate the kind words! : D

Thank you!

I'm very much still working on improving my production. Since I started off as a classically trained composer, I wasn't really taught how to mix and master properly. I have just been learning as much as I can from YouTube and freinds : D

Thank you!

I've really been focusing on how to do modulations between keys and still keep melodies interesting since playing Octopath Traveler. I'm even starting to wonder if "genre modulation" is a thing, which is kind of what I did in the middle along with a metric modulation.

I'm also glad folks are liking my drum parts! Percussion has always been my weakness, but I'm feeling like I'm making strides with that type of writing : )

Thank you! Those du-wop's were something I really wanted to do for a game jam last Halloween, but they got rejected. I was determined to use them again! lol

Thank you for the kind words!

Nowadays, my composition process is getting increasingly extra-musical. I like to write my music with concepts in mind and actually will write out what ideas I want to try next in text while I'm away from my computer, but, of course, a lot of it is just spur of the moment and happy accidents, like that sudden venture into a weird schmaltz-y dowop 40s rock in the middle lol

Hey there! I'm glad you liked the tune! For the tremelos, I used the Picked Nylon Session Guitarist from Native Instruments. I bought Komplete Ultimate a few years ago and I'm still figuring out how to use all these libraries lol

Thank you! I feel like I'm starting to be able to really make more natural drum kit parts. The portamentos in the vocals in this tune are like a sigh of relief at the end of a hard day's work : )

Thank you!!

i thank.

Are you talking about the panning? lol

Sweet pic though. Reminds me of the giant megaphones I saw on the shores of Mainland China and Taiwan that they used to yell at each other with from like 20 miles away during the civil war lol

Ooh! Another Reaper user I see! The first 2 chords of your tune made me immediately think of the original Route 101 theme from 1st gen Pokemon. It's got a nice bounce to it! Also, kudos for the kitty :3

Thank you so much! I had never heard of Slime Rancher so i had to look it up, but the music is really nice! It's got some good orchestration. I got put that one on in the background for work some time!

Nice use of the Phrygian Major scale! I really liked the chord progression you used. It sounded like C#m | C | C | Cdim and then rounded up with a A to G# every 2 cycles. That Cdim makes so much sense even though it's outside of the Phrygian Major scale. It's so simple it's genius! I'm definitely going to try that in the future. Thanks for that! Great tune!!

Thank you! I definitely have a lot of those lol

Prickly melody synth synth throughout adds a nice surreal touch to the melancholy dive bar jazz you set up. I liked the venture into major at 1:00 as well. Great craft with the harmonies!

Thanks! : D
