Hi, thanks for your game and review! yes, I'm sorry to hear that you had problems downloading the game, unfortunately I don't know how to solve it😭. also maybe not in time, but in the game there is a visual hint about finding dust - scan. just press SPACE and the dust will be highlighted. have a good development and games!

it was a lot of fun,

the game draws you in, you want to beat the record, but what record? is it Meters? Millions? Mango? even the game descriptions didn't help to understand the mechanics, I think in the future you should add hints, but overall it's very good, I love this game)

P.S.: I was pleasantly surprised that you can make your own nickname, it hit me in the heart (in a good way).

the game is very addictive, a cool platformer, I can't write many words, but I'll briefly write what I encountered: there is no sound, it is unclear whether this is a bug or a shortcoming? funny physics of the hero's hair, very original! I went through the whole game, collecting all the diamonds. I like that the game has challenges, this is due to the desire to break the record, staying in the game longer. nice work👍😂

it's cool that you came to this game, it's very cool, thank you, your game is also worthy of attention!

thanks for the nice review and also for downloading and describing my game, i really appreciate it, thanks

The game touches on a sensitive topic, for which I can commend the author of this game for his courage. the game is moderately difficult, but requires many attempts to pass, I would like to add checkpoints in the future, but now within the game jam you can not unfortunately update it :(

Yes, you are right, if given a little more time I would try to polish those mechanics. thanks for your review, your game deserves attention too!

I really appreciate your positive feedback, thank you. i will consider adding a visual indicator so i don't have to count in my mind)

thx for feedback, your game is too cool

thanks for the feedback, you are right, this mechanic requires more time to improve, but I did not have enough time to devote to this jam, sorry🙏

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the feedback!

no need to thank, thanks for your answer and for your game!

I couldn't get through this game because I can't interact with objects for some reason.

it's a complete arthouse, the game from the first seconds in you throws a story that pulls on Indian movies, but the gameplay is extremely simple, like "go there, take this, bring this", but it's a classic for such games. The visual style is very hip, kinda like the ps1 vibe, but I don't think Sony wrote such a brilliant story. also, i want to point out that all the characters in this game are 18 years old, all the actions shown are NOT RECOMMENDED to be repeated. :)

Very funny story about a man who can rewind time, but the game can be passed without resorting to superpowers. the graphics are very stylish, but it could not hurt more post-processing, like a faint fog maybe. the control is responsive, but playing I and more than once clicked outside the game window, please add a full screen mode.

Very unusual strategy, good theme is shown. I like that the levels can be passed not only one way, there is a variety of tactics. the interface is very complex, the eyes are scattered where to click, but in general you can understand after a couple of deaths.

I LOVE the style, really! but i would like to point out that your game window size is too big, make it a little smaller please. it was a lot of fun, but the combat is too hard.

Yes, it's mechanics may seem complicated, I should have done more in-depth training

thanks you

It's not a game, it's an art form. you must have talent that you were able to make an atmosphere only through locations and visuals, without using music, lyrics, story or at least explaining what's going on here.

wow, thanks for your feedback. yeah, maybe instead of solving the ECHO collision problem that allowed ejection upwards, which allowed skipping levels, I decided to just do a Q spam restriction, which is a very lazy and partly bad solution, but it only applies to short presses.

a short game in the puzzle genre.

you must use your echoes from the past to cut your way forward. would greatly appreciate feedback and your introductions to this and my other games (see my page).

There is almost no gameplay in this game. it all depends on your patience if you can make it to the 999th floor without cheating. would be happy if someone other than me would do it. I made this one in 8 hours from fatigue from my current project, so I didn't make it seriously, but this project is a good ground for a liminal horror or something.

haha? this is AntiSpamEcho. pls press and hold Q for spawn echo

ABSOLUTE CINEMA

cool

very stylish, good game

wow, this looks very archetypal, I love it!

very cool!

Atmosphere 🔥 Reminds me of early PS1 horror games. Good luck with the development!

Hello everyone!!! It's been a wild adventure with Infection Walker, and I'm very excited to publish this devlog for the latest build 1906_2, released today, June 19, 2025. Let's dive into everything that has happened since the last update, starting with the shotgun idea, and I'll tell you where we are now. I've put my soul into this, and while I'm sometimes scared to play it myself, I hope you enjoy the journey as well. Here's the full story!

link <3 https://laxsped.itch.io/infection-walker

It all started with the shotgun concept. i wanted to give players a way to fight those creepy zombies that roam the night. the first build, 2805_1, from may 28, had this basic idea of loading the shotgun, aiming and firing. but it was crude, like very simple movements and no real atmosphere. I spent days tweaking the aiming, making sure the recoil felt right, and adding that nice "boom" sound. it wasn't perfect, but it was a start. for this devlog attach a screenshot of an early shotgun test - I may have been aiming at zombies in the day scene, just to show where it started.

Then came the big shift in build 1906_2. i decided to focus entirely on the horror atmosphere, abandoning some of the combat for now to build tension. the shotgun is still there, but now it's more about survival. i added a cycle of day and night changes - 120 seconds for a full cycle - using Unity's universal rendering pipeline. The sun moves across the sky, stars appear at night, and fog changes colors using a gradient. it's wild how much atmosphere this adds! include a screenshot of a night sky with stars and faint fog, perhaps with a zombie lurking in the distance, to demonstrate this effect

the real turning point was the sound design. I worked on pitches that change depending on the surface - the crunch of the grass underfoot and the echo from the concrete inside the buildings. There's a daytime sound with birds and a nighttime sound with crickets, and I made it so that the outside sound is muted when you're inside the structure. It took some raycast magic to detect colliders with the "building" tag, and I had to fix a bunch of bugs - like when raycast would hit the player instead. Add a screenshot of me inside a stone building with visible log "isindoor: true" showing a muted effect with echoing footsteps.

zombies got an update too. their sudden roars out of the darkness scared me so much I almost quit playing! i added basic AI so they wander around and you can hear them before you see them. crashing into trees while panicking is now a feature, not a bug - ha ha! add a close-up screenshot of a zombie at night with the text "humanity 5" to convey the fear factor.

Then there was the red screen moment - "hmm. i think i'm dead. or am i?" - which appeared due to out of control debugging. i turned it into a spectacular death scene. it's not a full game yet, just a creepy pause, and i like how it fits the mood. attach a screenshot of the red screen with this text, the log says "isindoor: false, colliders found: 13" to demonstrate this unusual addition.

testing was a rollercoaster. i’d run around, get chased, hide in buildings, and check if the sound worked. sometimes the colliders didn’t trigger right, so i upped the overlap sphere radius to 2f and added debug logs. it’s messy, but it’s mine! include a gif of me running from a zombie, crashing into a tree, then entering a building where the sound muffles—perfect to show the flow.

This build, 1906_2, is my second release after 2805_1, and I'm releasing it today, June 19, 2025. i've polished up the moves - squatting, running, jumping - and added camera shake when hitting something. the goal? to make it seem lively and scary. i'm posting it on itch.io, where i got my first feedback, and i'm going to try Telegram and maybe later build up karma on Reddit. even if it's just one person who leaves a comment, i'm excited.

Looking ahead, I might add a torch for lighting inside buildings or player breathing sounds at startup for build _3. but for now I'm happy with that. check out the game on my itch.io page, leave a comment if you dare, and let me know what scares you the most! thanks for sticking with me - best wishes for more zombie panic nights! 🎮👾

hi

good work

thanks bro!

I've put together a small project in PSX-style. the game is about a cleaner who walks through the infected zone after the test of bioweapons. it's short, atmospheric, with zombies, physics and world generation. would be glad feedback.

I am developing this game alone just for the sake of the idea and I would like someone to appreciate it (even if it is criticism). I started the development 2 weeks ago, but there was a big break due to technical possibilities, so I could not fill it with content. But I promise that I will not abandon this project and I will try to make it more exciting, more interactive, more atmospheric, to make this project something I can be proud of. in fact, do not devalue what I have already implemented myself: procedural world generation, zombie physics, knife texture when stabbing - it was very worth the effort and time, but I have no regrets.
If there will be some community around me and my project (and maybe more than one), I will be very happy about it, honestly. good luck with your gaming experience!

maybe you'll be one of the first? maybe you're in the same situation?
