Thanks a lot for taking a look at the playthrough and sharing your thoughts!

  • I think that there are enough twists besides the ogre room - Blood God trial (lift arena) and the ending. But I will probably consider adding something more to that in the post-jam version :)
  • Well, I personally don't mind backtracking the way it is here, it feels like classic Quake/Doom maps, and it did not seem to be that dragging, but your suggestion may certainly spice it up a bit. Although, I'm concerned that it is very easy to overtune such segments imo.

Anyway,  I appreciate your suggestions, those certainly gave me some food for thought! I am looking forward to make a proper final post-jam version with major improvements on the visuals and some gameplay details, which were not perfect enough.

На бумаге очень прикольно, мне особенно визуал приглянулся.

Единственное - я всё же чувствую, что агентности со стороны игрока не очень много. Вообще вижу потенциал для игры, которую можно развивать дальше вне джема, интересно будет глянуть!

Cool game, enjoyed the process of getting used to its controls and mechanics, felt rewarding. I think it tells something, when you think of the game like that.

Pretty solid experience. I enjoy how authentic to PS1 visuals it feels with texture warping and such.  Also the SFX, music and Seth's voice lines are top notch, there is no flaw in that aspect imo. It definitely helps to give that feeling of discomfort.

I also agree with farsidevirtual's points about gameplay though, but it's still impressive what have you done guys in such a short timeframe

Cool top down action game with solid level design. Visuals reminds me of Teleglitch a little bit. With some tweaks and more levels Quickn has a potential to be something more than a game jam project.
